I'm hoping Dude Brohan comes in as one of the last two. I'm probably being a bit dense, whilst I love the 80s Mania Sets (I don't play the app version) I struggle to see how some of the 80s characters are based upon. Many are obvious but some not so much. I don't understand BuzzSaw, is he an Ultimate Warrior spin off or is there more to it than that? I presume Dude Brohan is a spin on Hulk Hogan? And Red Pirate Rogers and Keith Blood I don't know the inspiration for these either. I guess it just helps when writing the matches to know some of this stuff. B-Mack pretty much covered it with Dude Brohan being a combo of Hogan and Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and Buzzsaw being a combo of Warrior and the American Gladiators. Red Pirate Rogers is like The Dread Pirate Roberts from Princess Bride and Keith Blood is a vampire like Kiefer Sutherland's character from the Lost Boys. I guess it helps growing up in America to get all of these references, as some are lost on the Brits who didn't get all these shows and movies. Any other questions on guys please feel free to ask and we can explain the references. Thanks so much guys. Some of these have now made sense. I agree on a sticky explaining the inspirations would be great. Yes I think being in the UK some of them aren't perhaps as obvious to me. But now I am learning it's making things even better and will definitely help with the writing on some of cards/shows I play out.

I've been playing the game since it came out, pretty much -- never made the Spicoli connection! That's AMAZING.
As for Moon Man, I just never looked into it that much. That's super cool!

Funny thing about Dude....when they list the guys over on the 80sMania proboards, they put them in certain spots indicating their level. Two spots on top indicating main eventers are still blank. Possibilities.....

Yeah, I noticed that this morning too. I'd adore Dude and Pierre in this third set. That would be awesome.

I love the Hogan-Spicolli combo for Dude Brohan. The question I have now is there a Mike Damone inspired character in 8MW? Damone was classic in Fast Times

Personally I'm hoping the last two are Dude Brohan and Dr. B., and the tag team could be either the Metalheads or the Mullet Cousins and I'd be happy. The question I have is whether or not Gothica and The Thinker will be included in the handbook. They are the only managers we don't have, and with Shop of Horrors in the set I would really like Gothica as I use them together in the app.

I also hope we get them. I keep forgetting about Dr. B. He has to make one of these sets immediately. He starts off at the World Champ, after all. I'd be fine with Dude/Dr. B.

..I keep running through who I want as the final two characters in the set (not counting PP) and I keep coming to the same conclusion --
-- we gotta get a fourth set.

I have made my own bootlegs of Gothica and The Thinker manager card backs. If in any event that they do not make it into an 80s Mania Wrestling handbook, then I definitely wouldn't mind sending a pdf to those who would like to use them.
