Thanks for the comments gents....mattclassic85 , I use a champions advantage for my major singles title where the champion is allowed one automatic kickout and then can go on a 'champion's roll' with a roll of 9-12 right afterWWA Update ---WWA officials have announced the plans for a Supercard titled 'Thanksgiving Spectacular' and the Year 01 finale titled 'Christmas Battle Royal', cards #48 and #50 respectively. Officials implied they would seeking a rematch between Bobo Brazil and The Sheik in what they hope will be contested inside a Steel Cage. However, they said they are receiving push back from Abdullah Farouk. When contacted Farouk stated it was the California State Athletic Commission that was preventing the match from going forward. Farouk did say that if the CSAC allowed the match then a 'Loser Leaves the WWA' stipulation would have to be added for Sheik to accept any type of match of that nature. Also signed, will be an Americas' Championship match as Mil Mascaras will get his rematch and face whomever the champion is when #48 rolls around. Officials also announced that they have signed a Andre the Giant vs Big John Studd match to the Thanksgiving Spectacular card as well. ---The Christmas Battle Royal will feature a 30-man battle royal where the winner will receive an automatic title shot when WWA resumes Year 02 at #51. Already signed for the card is a match between Freddie Blassie/Antonio Inoki vs Giant Baba/Rikidozan. The two teams have traded the Japanese version of the International tag titles over the past few months. These match will not be signed as a title match but promises heated action nonetheless. ---Stay tuned for more updates for both cards.

WWA #40 Grand Olympic Auditorium ....After the major announcements for 'Thanksgiving Spectacular' & 'Christmas Battle Royal' to end Year 01, we come to you this week for #40. On top, The Valentines defend the tag titles against Mr Fuji/Mr Saito while Jim Londos gets his hands on Gorgeous George....Let's get to the action....---In the opener, Pampero Firpo tunes up for his Americas' Championship rematch in two weeks with a dominating win over SD Jones. Firpo hits consecutive Knee Lifts and applied EL GARFIO for the finish. ---A continuation of our huge 8-man feud sees Masked Superstar def. Pepper Gomez by hitting a possible illegal 'loaded' Headbutt and follows with the COBRA HOLD for the submission win. Afterwards, Blackjack Mulligan hits the ring and the heel duo continue to beat on Gomez until The Crusher chases them off to a huge cheer from the crowd. --- Ox Baker is out quickly as he battles The Crusher in our next match. Huge impact offense from both wrestlers ensures this will not be a long match. Somehow, Crusher picks himself off the canvas after a Baker HEART PUNCH and hits the CRUSHER BOLO to pick up the win. --- The Hennigs survive an onslaught and go on to def. Bobby Shane/Sweet Brown Sugar in tag team action as Larry Hennig drops Shane with THE AXE to get the win. Curt was pummeled during this match and had to make the hot tag to his father to keep the match going. With the win, The Hennigs are next in line for a tag team title shot at #43. --- Jim Londos faces off with Gorgeous George as Cherie Dupree makes a nuisance of herself at ringside. After spraying Londos in the eyes with hair spray, Dupree is ejected from ringside. However, the damage has already been done as George hits an Airplane Spin before pinning Londos with a Small Package w/ Tights to steal a win. ---Our Main Event has The Valentines defending the WWA tag team titles against Mr Fuji/Mr Saito in a battle of two rudo teams. The Valentines hear more cheers than boos as the fans let the Japanese heel team really have it. The match turned into an excellent tag team bout with numerous changes of momentum as The Hennigs are out on the rampway to scout the match. Greg Valentine gets trapped in Fuji/Saito's corner and takes a beating but proves he's a tough customer as he survives the SAITO SUPLEX and the MIDDLE ROPE SPLASH. Finally, Greg makes the tag to Johnny who takes on both opponents. Johnny hits several ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERs on Fuji/Saito for nearfalls before Fuji/Saito are able to regroup and regain the advantage. Johnny survives the onslaught as the action nears the Valentine corner. Greg tags himself in as Fuji/Saito sets up for a MIDDLE ROPE SPLASH/SCORPION LEGLOCK combo on Johnny. Greg pushes Fuji off the middle rope, climbs the buckles and launches himself off for a Cross Body Block on Saito. It's enough to keep Saito down as The Valentines overcome a tremendous beating to retain the tag titles in their V1 defense.

Gorgeous George with I think a big upset over Londos and the Tag Division in this promotion is on fire..big win for the Hennings and I think it is going to be on hell of a fight with the Valentines one I cant wait to see, speaking of the tag champs great hard fought match that was worthy of the main event. I love the fact two rudo teams went at it. It will be interesting to see where the Japan duo goes from here after this set back.
Another solid show, would not expect anything less as we get closer to the end of Season 1

I loved the hype for the Thanksgiving and Christmas events with Andre vs. Studd and Blassie & Inoki vs. Rikidozan & Baba being announced not to mention a traditional L.A. Battle Royal. Great stuff. Card #40 was solid and that was cool to see Johnny & Greg Valentine retain the tag titles beating Fuji & Saito. The Japanese team has been riding great momentum and I thought they just might take the gold here. Gorgeous George over Jim Londos was huge for George and could put him in title contention. I really enjoyed that slugfest between The Crusher and Ox Baker as well.

Thanks for comments, gents. I am definitely looking forward to the Thanksgiving Spectacular & CBR. I have a stacked card in mind for TS to finish off the major feuds and even some minor ones to end Year 01. Humanoids4eva ....WWA officials have let me know they have ringside seats reserved for you for both major shows WWA #41 Grand Olympic Auditorium; Los Angeles ....We get a week closer to the big year end shows as more announcements will be made soon as the card fills out....Tonight, we get an 8-man match between the two big warring factions in the WWA....We also have a John Tolos vs Wild Bull Curry match on tap as well....Let's go to the ring....---In the opener, Bruiser Costa and Scott Casey continue their undercard feud but get interrupted when Big John Studd walks to the ring and destroys both wrestlers. Studd hits a huge double clothesline as soon as he hits the ring that send both Costa and Casey crashing to the mat. Studd picks up each man, in turn, and delivers crushing BACKBREAKERS to both men. The crowd seemed to be in awe of Big John Studd as EMTs had to help Costa and Casey to the back. --- Sabu is all over Curt Hennig from the opening bell. The younger Hennig is never able to recover as Sabu locks in the CAMEL CLUTCH to get the submission win. --- Goregous George/Bobby Shane w/ Cherie Dupree take a win over Jim Londos/SD Jones after George hits an Airplane Spin on Jones before getting the pin with a Small Package w/ Tights. Londos/Jones had things going their way until Dupree sprayed Jones in the eyes with hair spray. --- 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper steals one from Tony Atlas, using the FOREIGN OBJECT to drop Tony before applying the SLEEPER to get the win. Afterwards, Billy Red Lyons came down to ringside to aid his friend but gets jumped by Piper from behind. An enraged Lyons fights Piper off before sending Hot Rod over the top rope to the floor. Lyons grabs the Olympic house mike and tells the Piper and the crowd that he has a contract for Piper to sign for #47 with a 'Hair vs Hair' stipulation. --- John Tolos vs Wild Bull Curry put on a helluva match before Tolos was able to score the win with his FLYING KNEE DROP finisher. Before this, both men rocked each other after Curry brought his Brass Knux into play. With the referee down, both men blasted each other before Tolso was able to get the upperhand to finish the match. ---Our Main Event featured an 8-man tag match between Crusher/Antonio Rocca/Don Leo Jonathan/Pepper Gomez vs The Destroyer/Masked Superstar/Blackjack Mulligan/Ox Baker. As expected, the match turned into chaos and was nearly thrown out several times by the referee. The star of the match was Rocca as he overcame several double-teams to hit the hot tag to Crusher. Crusher hits Ox with the CRUSHER BOLO to get the win for the technicos.

That eight-man tag main event was great and The Crusher gets another one over on Ox Baker. I feel that Baker will have a Heart Punch especially reserved for Da;' Crusher. I loved that debut by Big John Studd and it would be cool to see Costa & Casey put their differences aside and take on BJS in a handicap match. I am hoping that Roddy Piper signs that contract as Hair vs. Hair stips are always fun. Good stuff as always.
