I have had Nano in action (what little I have done) and the character is an absolute hoot to write. Then you've got more to be hooting about come 2123! All I'll say right now is one word... "FRIEND!"Looking forward to it. Nano is definitely one of my favorite characters in any of the feds right now.

I like to think that the rules right now are the "basic" rules and anything that is added henceforth are the "advanced rules". One complaint I wanted to address is the lack of options. Timing is certainly another. Ya, I saw the lack of options isssue ... it's a lack of variety in offensive move types or modifications particularly. What's the issue of Timing? I think he means the timing of rounds, finding a way to do it that's not as cumbersome as counting moves (which, when you think about it, really isn't an accurate way of doing it, as some moves last longer than others).

How the MMA sim counts moves is by when an offensive roll is made. It assumes charts, KO\SUB, reversals and defensive moves are the reaction to the offensive roll. This is similar to a rule on Barnabus's card.
The sim has one judging criteria right... It gives the person who is making an offensive roll a point. If it's even, it tells you the round was close and then adds a point one fighter before calling the round. If a fighter is never on offense, they have no points, and thus the sim calls the round 10-8
You can see that the above is alot to keep track of... and this will slow the game down. This is why I'm throwing out the idea that these rules exist.. just not under the POW fed. Let them be used by the smaller MMA feds (that POW will\has pulled talent from). POW uses the rules as it stands now, no rounds.. fight till there's a finish.
The reason for this suggestion is because under the Rules using rounds, there might not be a winner. There could be a draw... and Decision going to a Judge is never as exciting as one ending by Submission or KO\TKO. It's been explained that POW is how Paul E Dangerously (Paul Haymen) would run a fed in 2123. Paul would have done everything he could to ensure there was a finish... cause that's how he insisted the orginal ECW was to be booked (Rise and Fall of ECW mentions this a few times.)
Alot of this is, here's how I see it from what I understand (which will surprise a lot of you how much I don't know). So if I've missed something big... please educate me.

Well, you could still do rounds and also still have there be no draws, in the sense that you just keep having rounds until there's a winner. But really, fighters should have a rest period every few minutes so that they don't look like a couple of schlubs in there flopped all over each other. I'd still like it to happen. We'll try to work out the best system that won't slow things down, or only minimally if so.

I would like to see rounds available, if only as an option. I'm sure people have and will continue to make real MMA fighters for use in this system. Thus the need for rounds and decisions.

Yep. As far as I'm concerned, it's priority #1.
