Hello,
I'm somewhat new to the game and I am totally confused about a portion of the rules.
I understand how distractor ratings for managers work, but how does it work when the manager has a chart to roll on?
Do I first roll the distractor rating and if that is successful then roll on their chart?
I would really appreciate the clarity!

You just answered your own question, my friend.

Awesome, that's how I've been playing. Thank you!

I never knew of an official rule to roll the distraction and then roll the chart. You just roll on the chart when you want. How I do it.

I never knew of an official rule to roll the distraction and then roll the chart. You just roll on the chart when you want. How I do it. Me too. The distraction option is separate from the interference option. You only roll against the distraction range to determine whether a distraction has succeeded or failed. For interference, you simply decide that interference will occur and roll on the appropriate chart for the result.

For me, I say the manager gets 1 each per match. One roll of distractor rating (to stop pinfalls) AND one roll of the other outcome charts per match and that is all they get.

That's the rule, except for Jimmy Hart, who gets 2 interference attempts: one on the standard chart and one on his card chart. Jimmy was hyperactive at ringside.

At the minute, I'm hoping to reboot my 1980s-style fed and am using Jimmy Hart as the fed's only manager (since he has his own chart).
I'm trialing Hart having unlimited distraction attempts using his card only. Interestingly, he seems to cost his guys matches too.

The interference backfire effect creates interesting twists and turns. Dennis Condrey and Randy Rose were the original and long-reigning tag team champions of my regional Mid-America Wrestling promotion. They were ably abetted by their "advisor" James Julius Dillon. Recently, they defended their straps against the Fantastics. When things looked bleak for the champs, Dillon jumped into the ring and aimed a clothesline directly at Bobby Fulton. Bobby ducked, Dennis Condrey got throttled instead, and Fulton covered him for the 1-2-3. Just as fast as that, the Sharp Dressed Men were my new tag champs. A furious Condrey and Rose publicly fired the bumbling Dillon and they left my promotion soon afterwards.

Hart interfered three times; the first two times, Brody got to the megaphone first and nailed Mountie with it; the final attempt saw Bill Dundee enter the ring to help The Mountie but Brody tossed him out of the ring and pinned his opponent with his finisher!
