I'm rooting for the Golden knights, Maple Leafs and Hurricans to win their game 7s. That way my home town Islanders would be the only higher seed to advance out of round 1. Crazy playoffs!

Very pleased about the news of William Karlsson signing an 8 year extension with VGK!
Locally this news did not just make the front page of the sports page (but it was there too,) it also made the top headline of the front page of the LVRJ period!
So excited about this news, next time I go to the sports store down the street at Downtown Summerlin I am buying a Karlsson VGK shirt!

eight years is crazy for a player but hope he plays well for all of them.

Long as not to high a price it's a good thing. He is you, just hitting his prime and still should have a couple good years after it expires.

Golden Knights 4, Sharks 1!
I normally say when my team loses that we lost to a better team- like when VGK lost to Washington in the Stanley Cup Finals 2 years ago, Washington was the better team- but I can't say that about the bs way San Jose eliminated VGK in last year's playoffs so it was good to see VGK get some measure of revenge against San Jose tonight in the season opener.
Also good to see Cody Glass, our first-ever First Round draft pick back in 2017, score a goal in his NHL debut.
I did not get to watch the game tonight as the first Wednesday of every month is usually my longest day at work each month (almost 12 hours today,) but glad to see this season starting with VGK looking great.
Go Knights Go!

Golden Knights 5, Sharks 1!
VGK defeats San Jose (who made it to the Western Conference Finals last season before losing to eventual Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis in 6 games) by a total of 9-2 in two games to start the year! VGK next hosts Boston on Tuesday.
Go Knights Go!
