Good lord Fleury threw that one away. But he's won a few for them, so i guess that balances it out. Big fan of Lehner so I'd like to see VGK to back to him, but I don't think it'll happen. And Lehner for game 4 it is.

I missed most of this game as I was on a flight home to Las Vegas (there was some drama on the plane though as some guy tried to smoke in the bathroom and he set off the smoke detector which was blaring for awhile on the plane and then when the plane landed he was escorted off by security before we could leave our seats) but I am glad to see VGK got this very important win to tie the series and reclaim Home Ice.
Go Knights Go!

Glad your flight was okay otherwise.
Oh and nothing against the Knights but I'm rooting for the Canadians, mostly because my coworker is annoying me and the Habs destroyed her two favorite teams in the playoffs.

and Montreal takes it with a 3-2 OT win. Sorry, Zeke, though I'm sure you guys will be contending again next year in a more regular format.

What a shock, as a Canadiens fan I never thought I'd see them in the Cup Finals again!

This is not easy for me to type but, although it definitely did not go the way I wanted, this was overall a tough series (3 of the 6 games went to Overtime) in which Montreal simply played better and the Canadians deserve to go to the Finals. No excuses, the team that played better won the series.
At least I got to see VGK win Game 1 last week on my birthday. I normally really like stories like Montreal (first Finals trip since 1993) but admittedly not as much when it is happening against my own team. Good luck to Montreal in the Finals.

So much for the Bolts/Knights Cup finals. If Tampa does not take care of business tonight it could be neither team goes.

Las Vegas (who is already hosting the NFL Pro Bowl next year) today also got awarded next year's 2022 NHL All-Star Game:
Las Vegas awarded 2022 NHL All-Star Game
The NHL All-Star Game is coming to Las Vegas.
The Golden Knights will host 2022 NHL All-Star weekend at T-Mobile Arena, commissioner Gary Bettman announced Monday before Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.
Las Vegas also will host the NFL Pro Bowl on Feb. 6 at Allegiant Stadium.
The 2021 All-Star weekend was originally scheduled for Jan. 29 and 30 in Sunrise, Florida, but was canceled in October because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The NHL event with the skills competition and All-Star Game will be scheduled at its traditional midway point of the regular season and the confirmed dates will be announced when available, the league said in a news release.
“It’s very exciting to have the opportunity to host the 2022 NHL All-Star Weekend at T-Mobile Arena,” said Knights president and chief operating officer Kerry Bubolz in a statement. “This is one of the league’s premier events of the year and we are thrilled to bring fans from around the world to Las Vegas to celebrate hockey. This event will also help continue our growth of the game in Nevada and our surrounding areas.”
