Hopefully that trade works out well for both of us yes, I think the best trades are the ones where both teams benefit now that I have had time to digest it and look over the details more closely, I like this trade a little more than I thought as I now realize Eichel is signed through 2026 as for some reason I first thought his contract was expiring much earlier and I am not sure VGK will be competitive this year with 4 key players (Eichel, Stone, Pacioretty, a Karlsson) out for prolonged periods of time. Plus the first-round pick is lottery protected. So this trade makes a little more sense to me now. |

Sorry, not sorry, that my Wings beat your Knights Vegas but I am happy for any Detroit win these days. I think your Red Wings are definitely a team on the rise, I especially like Lucas Raymond. VGK is having problems with Eichel, Stone, Pacioretty, Karlsson, etc all out injured for the foreseeable future. There is a reason they made that 1st round pick in the trade for Eichel lottery protected. |

I thought we might have reached when we drafted him but he might be the next Nicklas Lidstrom. Our best recent signing was Steve Yzerman as our GM. |

I know he is a good hire but the main reasons VGK did not make the playoffs (yet still finished 12 games above .500) was injuries and bad salary cap management which are factors that are both out of a coach's hands. I think it would have been more important to make the change in the front office to someone more adept at handling a salary cap and actually knowing the terms of a player's contract so problems like last-minute trade deadline deals are not vetoed due to trying to trade a player to a team on his no-trade list.  |

Good coach pickup for sure. Hopefully the higher ups do a better job with salary in the upcoming seasons.

VGK is off to a great start under their new coach and led by a healthy Jack Eichel.
VGK won in Montreal today for their 7th straight victory and they currently lead the Pacific Division with 22 points.
