Vegasmania lived up to the hype and it built up nicely from the pre-show match to the main event. I think my favorite result was Bruiser Brody & Jimmy Snuka beating the Road Warriors in a Street Fight as I was expecting it to go the other way. I loved the one year advance build you gave Ric Flair vs. Buddy Rogers for Vegasmania 2, that is some really clever booking. Flair over Dusty Rhodes and Sting over Great Muta really added to the big show feel and bringing back Sting & Muta as a team in the MLW Memorial Cup Tournament is great. I would love to see them clash with Brody & Snuka during that event.
Ted Dibiase having both Nikita Koloff and Larry Hennig in his corner is nearly unbeatable. Lou Thesz loses the VWE Championship due to Buddy Rogers getting pinned after the Russian Sickle from Koloff. Thesz has to be seriously pissed off about that result. Randy Savage & DDP continue to defy the odds and survive a strong challenge from Volkoff & Sheik to retain the VWE tag titles. Can Savage and DDP ever get on the same page or will they explode while still holding the titles? That is definitely a story to watch in VWE.
Congrats to Bobo Brazil on winning the VWE U.S. title with a huge win over Harley Race. Very cool. I was shocked to see the Dream Team beat the Rock n' Roll Express as my money was on the Express. Props to Trish Stratus on nearly winning that four-way, that was an impressive performance. Excellent show and before I forget it is now VWF and not VWE - damn that Dibiase!

The first episode of RAW the night after Vegasmania!
Vegas Wrestling Entertainment (VWE) RAW #15 April 3, Year 1
- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
In the Ring: VWF Champion (and VWF Chairman of the Board) the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, accompanied by Nikita Koloff and Larry "The Axe" Hennig
- DiBiase says it is time to recognize the new VWF Champion who just won the title at Vegasmania- himself!
- as DiBiase laughs and brags about defeating both the defending champion Lou Thesz and Buddy Rogers in the triple threat main event, Thesz appears.
- Thesz says DiBiase did not pin him to take away his (Thesz's) title and Thesz says he wants a rematch and this time it should be the one on one match between himself and DiBiase which he (Thesz) has wanted since RAW #1 when DiBiase hit him in the head with the briefcase containing the $1 million that DiBiase indicated he was going to give to Thesz.
-DiBiase says there are no automatic rematches in the VWF for champions who lose their titles and if Thesz wants a rematch it will take place at Backlash but he will have to earn it by first defeating "The Axe" next week on RAW.
- suddenly Rogers appears. Rogers says the only reason DiBiase pinned him in the main event at Vegasmania is because he got blindsided by a RUSSIAN SICKLE from Nikita Koloff and if DiBiase is now making matches for next week's RAW then he wants a match against Koloff!
- DiBiase says no, Rogers will not get a match against Koloff until Backlash as next week on RAW he has Rogers wrestling Gorgeous George. DiBiase then tells Thesz to get Rogers out of his face or he might change his plans for both of them at Backlash. Thesz gently pushes Rogers away as Rogers yells at Koloff and DiBiase and as Striker and Zbyszko comment is is odd hearing Rogers now getting cheers from the fans.
Match #1: Blue Meanie defeated Wild Bill White
- Blue Meanie, who won his VWF debut by winning the preshow battle royal at Vegasmania, appeared about to lose to White until suddenly Sinn Bodhi (who Blue Meanie eliminated to start the battle royal at Vegasmania) suddenly appeared and distracted White allowing Meanie to recover and proceed to win via a bodyslam.
- Blue Meanie remains undefeated in the VWF and gets his hand raised in victory as Striker and Zbyszko wonder aloud why Bodhi appeared and helped out the Blue Meanie tonight.
Backstage: with his manager Bobby Heenan, Harley Race says, although he lost the United States Championship to Bobo Brazil at Vegasmania, he won't be down for long and will again be recognized as The King of the Ring.
Match #2: "American Dragon" Bran Danielson defeated Bruiser Costa by DQ
- Danielson, who in his VWF debut defeated both Redd Dogg and Scott Taylor in a handicap match at Vegasmania, won this match by DQ when Costa threw Danielson out of the ring where Danielson got attacked by the Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, and Shawn Daivari. After being triple teamed, Daivari got on the microphone to say "Welcome to the VWF, American Dragon" until Hacksaw Jim Duggan ran in and made the save by swinging his 2 X 4.
DiBiase's Office: after congratulating DiBiase on his championship victory at Vegasmania, the Dream Team ask if they can get the VWF Tag Team Championship match at Backlash since they had an impressive victory over the Rock N' Roll Express at Vegasania. DiBiase points out that Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka also had an impressive tag team victory at Vegasmania by defeating the Road Warriors in a Vegas Street Fight so next week on RAW it will be Brody and Snuka vs the Dream Team with the winners challenging VWF Tag Team Champions Randy Savage and Diamond Dallas Page at Backlash!
Match #3: Road Warriors defeated The Taylors
- the Road Warriors rebounded from their Vegasmania loss to Snuka and Brody by quickly defeating the Taylors in impressive fashion as Road Warrior Hawk pined Tugboat Taylor via a gut wrench suplex.
- afterward, the Road Warriors announced they have entered the Major League Wrestling Memorial Cup Tournament!
Major League Wrestling Memorial Cup Tournament May 26-29 of Memorial Day Weekend tag team entrants 1. Sting and Great Muta 2. Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka 3. Road Warriors 4. more TBA
Match #4: Rob Van Dam (accompanied by Curt Hennig) defeated Pampero Firpo in a United States Championship #1 contender's match
- Firpo was awarded this match due to winning the Vegas traditional opening 4 way elimination match at Vegasmania and RVD was awarded this match after defeating his tag team partner Hennig at Vegasmania.
- RVD won via a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH
- as a result, RVD challenges Bobo Brazil for the United States Championship at Backlash!
- as RVD is congratulated by Hennig in the ring, tonight's show comes to an end with a promo for Backlash:
Backlash April 30, Year 1 1. Buddy Rogers vs Nikita Koloff 2. United States Champion Bobo Brazil vs Rob Van Dam 3. more matches TBA
End of Show.

Big aspirations for the Dream Team... Not sure they should be so keen to take on Brody and Snuka... Especially with that duo coming off a Vegas Street Fight victory over the Road Warriors...
Awesome that RVD pulled off that win and will get to challenge Brazil for the U.S. title...
Very entertaining show!

I loved the show opening angle on Raw #15 with Ted Dibiase setting up the Lou Thesz vs. Larry Hennig match for next week. No automatic title rematches, you gotta love the "Million $ Man"! Buddy Rogers as a face is amazing and I was psyched to see him throw down a challenge to Nikita Koloff even if he will have to wait for it.
The Blue Meanie remains undefeated with surprise help from Sinn Bodhi. That could be an interesting pairing if they join forces. I really liked the debut for Bryan Danielson at Vegasmania and I liked the action here even better with Hacksaw Jim Duggan saving him from Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff and Daivari. Duggan & Danielson could be a great team together. Very cool to see Rob Van Dam earn the U.S. title shot against Bobo Brazil at Backlash with a nice win over Pampero Firpo.
