Backlash was great and what a follow-up on Raw especially with Pampero Firpo getting that huge win over Nikita Koloff. I was also shocked to see Bruiser Brody & Jimmy Snuka lose big matches on consecutive shows but that also proves that the competition in VWE is at a top level for sure. The continuing saga of Randy Savage & DDP as the VEW tag champs is great but they will have their work cut out for them at the MLW Memorial Cup. Your build to big events is always inspiring and I look forward to what is to come.

I finally played out this show when I was home sick with the flu earlier this week
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF)
RAW #20
May 8, Year 1
commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
Match #1: Frank Dalton and Bruiser Costa defeated the Taylors
- as this match was starting, Striker and Zbyszko mentioned that both of these tag teams have been added to the MLW Memorial Cup Tournament later this month
- Dalton and Costa scored the upset victory when Dalton pinned Chaz Taylor via ATOMIC DROP
- as Dalton and Costa get their hands raised in victory, Striker mentions that there are certain to be more upsets in the actual MLW Memorial Cup Tournament itself
DiBiase's Office: MLW Chiarman of the Board and MLW Champion "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase tells King Kong Bundy, who is leaving for the ring, to put Rob Van Dam on the injury list alongside his partner Curt Hennig and then turns his attention to the two men sitting at his desk- the Rock N Roll Express
- DiBiase has the Rock N Roll Express signs their contracts making them a full time tag team in the VWF and then mentions cryptically that they are not the only tag team he has recently signed
Match #2: King Kong Bundy defeated Rob Van Dam by DQ
- during this match, Striker and Zbyszko commented that while RVD and Hennig remain listed as an entry in the MLW Memorial Cup Tournament it is uncertain whether Hennig will be able to participate in the tag team tournament at the end of the month
- RVD got himself DQd when the action spilled out of the ring and he, upset at how Bundy recently injured the ribs of his tag team partner Curt Hennig, grabbed a steel chair and smashed it against the skull of Bundy
In the Ring: Jim Cornette!
- making his first appearance in VWF, Cornette says that you can not have a MLW Memorial Cup without including the Midnight Express who won a record 4 MLW Tag Team Championships and 3 United States Tag Team Championships and thus the Midnight Express will be in the tournament- although it might be a version former MLW fans have not seen yet
Match #3: United States Champion Bobo Brazil defeated Pampero Firpo
- Firpo put up some good resistance but a COCO BUTT allowed Brazil to retain the United States Championship
- afterward, Brazil called out Trish Stratus and he told her he has decided that yes he will team with her in the MLW Memorial Cup Tournament
- in the background, The Destroyer could once again be seen stalking Brazil

July PPV: Great American Bash (during July 4th weekend)
Match #4: Lou Thesz and Buddy Rogers defeated the Road Warriors
- Rogers made Road Warrior Hawk tap out to his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE
- afterward Thesz and Rogers got attacked by two men in masks as DiBiase, accompanied by Bundy, appeared and laughed hystrically
- the two men unmasked to reveal themselves as "Dr. Death" Steve Williams and Terry Gordy- the Miracle Violence Connection who were the last ever EAWA Tag Team Champions when MLW ended!
- DiBiase says he has accepted Rogers's challenge for a War Games match at the Great American Bash and says Bundy and the MVC will be among his teammates inside the double steel cages and the MVC will also be entering the MLW Memorial Cup!
- as DiBiase hands cash to the MVC, the updated list of MLW Memorial Cup tag team participants flash on the screen as today's show comes to an end.

- before this match started, Taylor announced that he and Dogg together are entering the MLW Memorial Cup
- in their first match since signing full time VWF contracts last week, the Rock N Roll Express picked up the victory when Ricky Morton pinned Taylor via his CROSS BODY BLOCK

Backstage: Gorgeous George approaches The Destroyer and suggests they enter the MLW Memorial Cup together and The Destroyer agrees
In the Ring: VWF Chairman of the Board and VWF Champion "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and King Kong Bundy
- DiBiase says he is bringing in the Fantastics and the Sheepherders to participate in the MLW Memorial Cup!
- DiBiase says the following 4 tag teams are receiving first round byes in the 24 tag team tournament the MLW Memorial Cup:
1) the most decorated tag team in MLW history, the Midnight Express
2) the current VWF Tag Team Champions, Randy Savage and Diamond Dallas Page
3) the top special attraction entry, Sting and Great Muta
4) the VWF Champion and his tag team partner, himself and Bundy
- DiBiase then announced that the other 4 first round byes will be awarded to the 4 winning tag teams on next week's RAW!
Match #2: Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka defeated The Carnival (Sinn Bodhi and Blue Meanie)
- Brody and Snuka got the victory when Brody pinned Bodhi via JUMPING KNEE DROP
- afterward, DiBiase told Brody and Snuka if they want a first round bye in the MLW Cup then they need to defeat his enemies Lou Thesz and Buddy Rogers in a match next week on RAW
Backstage: Rock Riddle approaches Pampero Firpo and tells Firpo he watched him lose last week in his match challenging Bobo Brazil for the United States Championship but that he (Riddle) can guide Firpo to success and to prove it he has even entered Firpo in the MLW Memorial Cup with Lenny Lane. As Lane approaches them, Firpo nods but looks noncommittal and walks off.
Match #3: Hacksaw Jim Duggan (accompanied by "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson) defeated Iron Sheik (accompanied by Shawn Daivari and Nikolai Volkoff)
- Duggan won this grudge match via a bearhug after Volkoff accidentally hit the Iron Sheik in the face with Duggan's 2X4.

Match #4: Dream Team defeated VWF Tag Team Champions Randy Savage (accompanied by Malia Hosaka) and Diamond Dallas Page in a non-title match
- this match ended when Greg Valentine made Savage tap out to his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK as it appeared DDP had an opportunity to make a pin save for Savage but failed to do so as their chemistry problems continue with the MLW Memorial Cup just a week and a half away.
- the completed list of MLW Memorial Cup tag team participants flash on the screen as today's show comes to an end:
