Awesome to see the official Rock N' Roll Express cards debut in the VWF. I'm really looking forward to their upcoming match with Harley Race & Larry Hennig and also to see how they will fare in the MLW Memorial Cup tournament. The completed lineup of teams competing in that event is great, so hard to predict a winner and I have to say that I love seeing teams like Dalton & Costa get in. This is going to be fun. Props to pairing up Scott Casey & Marty Jannetty as Country Rock, I like it.

Some exceptional matches lined up to see which teams will be granted a first round bye in the tournament... Very interested to see how the new version of the MVC fares against the Roadies... Great stuff!

Some awesome special attractions being added to an already stacked lineup... Can only think of one thing that would make this two night event even better... And that would be if Vader is booked against a truly PHENOMENAL opponent on night two... Just a thought!

A hooded or non-hooded PHENOMENAL opponent?

Pleased to see the Express turn up! Also fun to see Jannetty and Casey form a team. I see them as a real odd couple. Jannetty will do poor Casey's nut in!

A hooded or non-hooded PHENOMENAL opponent? I've always been partial to PHENOMENAL opponents wearing a hood... But, I'm not picky.

the final episode of RAW before the MLW Memorial Cup begins in just 4 days!
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) RAW #22 May 22, Year 1
commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko who remind the viewers that the winners of tonight's matches will join the Midnight Express, VWF Tag Team Champions Randy Savage and Diamond Dallas Page, Great Muta and Sting, and VWF Champion and Chairman of the Board "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and King Kong Bundy in receiving a 1st round bye in this weekend's MLW Memorial Cup.
In the Ring: DiBiase says the winners of this weekend's MLW Memorial Cup will each get to choose a match they want in the future!
- DiBiase also says he is confident that the team of his enemies Lou Thesz and Buddy Rogers (who both would likely use a MLW Cup Victory to challenge DiBiase for the VWF Championship) will not win the MLW Memorial Cup!
Match #1: The Dream Team defeated the Fantastics
- this match marked the in-ring VWF debut of the Fantastics who started off fantastically but suffered the loss when Brutus Beefcake gave Bobby Futon a low blow and Greg Valentine then made a reeling Fulton tap out to his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK
- as a result, although they resorted to cheating to obtain it, the Dream Team secures a first round bye in the MLW Memorial Cup.
DiBiase's Office: Shawn Daivari, Iron Sheik, and Nikolai Volkoff
- Daivari tells DiBiase he is upset that Sheik and Volkoff are not among the teams competing tonight for s first round bye but they will be satisfied if DiBiase grants their request for a rematch for the Iron Sheik against Hacksaw Jim Duggan at the Great American Bash. Daivari says Duggan got lucky last week on RAW with his fluke victory over the Iron Sheik and they were sick of hearing all of those USA chants afterward so at the Great American Bash they want the rematch to be a flag match so after their match they can wave the Iranian flag and shut up the US fans on the weekend recognizing US independence. DiBiase agrees to the flag match request at the Great American Bash.
Match #2: Rock N' Roll Express defeated Harley Race and Larry "The Axe" Hennig (managed by Bobby Heenan) by DQ
- the Rock N' Roll Express won by DQ when the Midnight Express and Jim Cornette suddenly showed up and attacked them. Striker and Zbyszko point out 1) the Rock N' Roll Express and Midnight Express have historically been enemies in other parts of the country and 2) this Midnight Express version is Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey and not the pairing of Eaton and Stan Lane who together won more tag team championships than any other tag team in MLW History.
- as a result, the Rock N' Roll Express get a 1st round bye in the MLW Memorial Cup
Backstage: Rob Van Dam is asked about the status of his tag team partner Curt Hennig who has been out after suffering an injury from King Kong Bundy. RVD says Hennig will be competing alongside him this weekend in the MLW Memorial Cup. RVD, who was DQd for using a steel chair against Bundy in a match on RAW, also says if Bundy likes to hurt people then why not have a rematch against him (RVD) but this time make it an extreme rules match next month at Extreme Rules!
Match #3: Miracle Violence Connection defeated the Road Warriors
- this match was a tribute to Major League Wrestling (MLW) as it pitted the last-ever World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors against the last-ever EAWA Tag Team Champions the Miracle Violence Connection (MVC)
- in their VWF in-ring debut, the MVC picked up where they left off in their time in MLW as they picked up an impressive victory over the 2 time former World Tag Team Champions and former United States Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors when Steve Williams pinned Road Warrior Animal via OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE.
- as a result, MVC gets a first round bye as Striker and Zbyszko remark that the MLW Memorial Cup is an extremely stacked tournament as the Road Warriors are not even among the 8 tag teams receiving a first round bye
Major League Wrestling Memorial Cup Tournament May 26-29 of Memorial Day Weekend

July PPV: Great American Bash (during July 4th weekend)
Match #4: Lou Thesz and Buddy Rogers defeated Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka
- to the visual displeasure of DiBiase who was seen watching this match, Thesz and Rogers got the victory when Thesz blocked a turnbuckle charge from Brody and then hit his THESZ PRESS for the victory
- as a result, Thesz and Rogers get the last of the first round byes
- as Thesz and Rogers get their hands raised in victory, tonight's RAW comes to an end.
End of Show. See you this weekend for the MLW Memorial Cup!
