- Thesz was in the match first and quickly eliminated the next two entrants Casey and Firpo.

- Stratus, in her ongoing determination to show that women can compete at the same level as men, competed hard but was ultimately eliminated by Road Warrior Animal

- the Road Warriors worked as a team which allowed them to survive for awhile in the Rumble

- some notable rivalry eliminations: Iron Sheik eliminated Duggan, Curt Hennig helped eliminate Larry "The Axe" Hennig who turned on him last week on RAW, Snuka eliminated his enemy George

- Snuka had the most eliminations at 5, Thesz had the second most at 4

- Thesz, who entered at #1, was in the match the longest until becoming the 14th elimination

- Brody was eliminated by Race due to a distraction from Race's manager Bobby Heenan

- the final 3 were Snuka, Rogers, and DiBiase. Rogers and DiBiase double teamed Snuka and threw him over the top rope.

- Rogers and DiBiase were then seen whispering to each other and it appeared they had a deal until Rogers suddenly attacked DiBiase! Roger and DiBiase battled with Rogers winning by throwing DiBiase over the top rope to win the Royal Rumble and become the first-ever VWE Champion!

-afterward, a betrayed looking DiBiase could be seen screaming at Rogers as Striker and Zbyszko wonder aloud, what did DiBiase and Rogers say to each other in the ring right before Rogers threw out DiBiase?

Some big names out early (Savage RVD brazil) but the finish was excellent. Rogers on top is a great way to start off.

BREAKING NEWS:

With the conclusion of the Royal Rumble which took place on this week's episode of RAW, VWE Chairman of the Board the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase has announced that the first-ever VWE PPV will be Elimination Chamber at the end of next month followed by Vegasmania in March.

- also, after his father Larry "The Axe" Hennig turned on him on RAW #5, Curt Hennig has chosen fellow EAWA alumni Rob Van Dam to be his new tag team partner in the VWE Tag Team Championship Tournament. Rounding out the 8 tag team bracket will be a surprise entry of "Macho Man" Randy Savage and his former enemy Diamond Dallas Page.

Big time congratulations to the Nature Boy... But, I have to think there will be consequences for crossing the boss... Part of me thinks that @kevinb could be on the right track here... Could all this be nothing more than a small part of a much grander design?

The tag tournament is looking incredible, I really like seeing Randy Savage & DDP as a team not to mention Curt Hennig & RVD. My pick is Brody & Snuka to go all the way. I had also picked Brody to win the Royal Rumble but unfortunately he was dumped out by Harley Race after the distraction by Bobby Heenan.

I loved the finish of the RR with Buddy Rogers turning on Ted Dibiase to win the title. I can't blame the "Nature Boy" since the gold was at stake. The Rumble sounded great, particularly the performance by Lou Thesz, but I have to take offense with Road Warrior Animal eliminating Trish stratus. Maybe Trish needs to recruit a team to go after the Road Warriors. By the way congrats on your 9,000th post!

If DDP and Macho Man find a way to stay on the same page, they could very well give the other teams in this tournament a run for their money... But, I still gotta think that the teamwork capabilities of the Road Warriors will give them the edge... Exciting lineup, for sure!
