- Costa pinned Hutchinson after a neck snap

Match #1: Nikolai Volkoff (managed by Shawn Daivari) defeated "Cowboy" Scott Casey, Sinn Bodhi, and "The Rocker" Marty Jannetty in a Vegas traditional opening 4 way elimination match
- before this match started, Volkoff attempted to sing the Soviet National Anthem but got interrupted by a dropkick from Jannetty to start the match.
- Volkoff pinned Bodhi via a deathjump
- Volkoff pinned Casey via a BACKBREAKER DROP
- Volkoff pinned Jannetty after a running stomp
- as a result, Volkoff receives an upcoming #1 contender's match for the United States Championship.
Match #2: Trish Stratus defeated Rock Riddle
- Riddle arrived in the ring looking overly confident about this match but to his shock he lost quickly as Stratus made him tap out to STRATISFACTION after just 2 moves!
Match #3: Randy Savage (accompanied by Malia Hosaka) and Diamond Dallas Page defeated the Taylors in the VWE Tag Team Championship Tournament Finals
- before this match started, VWE Chairman of the Board the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase said this match would be a best 2 out of 3 falls contest since all tag team championship matches in the VWE will be best 2 out of 3 falls.
- First Fall: Taylors defeated Savage and DDP by DQ
- this match ended in a DQ when the referee caught DDP (who was not the legal man in the ring at the time) giving Tugboat Taylor a DIAMOND CUTTER. Savage was visually and verbally upset at DDP for costing them that fall as the Taylors went up 1-0.
- Second Fall: Taylors defeated Savage and DDP by DQ
- Savage and DDP got DQd again, this time because Savage accidentally hit the referee. This time it was DDP who was visually upset at Savage for costing them a fall and thus, as it first appeared, the VWE Tag Team Championship.
- DiBiase arrived and said since a title can not be won on a DQ decision, this best 2 out of 3 falls match is now a best 3 out of 5 falls match- but now the Taylors only need to win 1 of the next 3 falls to win the VWE Tag Team Championship!
Third Fall: Savage and DDP defeated the Taylors
- Savage pinned Chaz Taylor via a piledriver. Savage then told his tag team partner DDP that is how you win a fall. Taylors up 2-1.
- Fourth Fall: Savage and DDP defeated the Taylors
- DDP pinned Chaz Taylor via a Russian Leg Sweep and then told Savage that is how you win a fall. Match is tied 2-2.
- Fifth Fall: Savage and DDP defeated the Taylors.
- during this fall, Savage and DDP each tagged themselves in by tagging each others back at the frustration of each other. The fall and match ended when Savage pinned Tugboat Taylor via a FLYING ELBOW SMASH. Savage and DDP won the match 3-2 and thus the VWE Tag Team Championship, however they left the ring separately as they are clearly not on the same page.
Match #4: Harley Race (managed by Bobby Heenan) defeated Curt Hennig, Gorgeous George, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Bobo Brazil, and Pampero Firpo in the United States Championship elimination chamber match
- this match was for the United States Championship- the first title DiBiase has reinstated from Major League Wrestling which he acquired via a lawsuit before shutting down the fed.
- order of entry into the match: Brazil and Firpo started, Duggan, Race, Hennig, and George
-the first elimination did not occur until all 6 participants were in the match
order of elimination
- Race pinned Firpo via PILEDRIVER
- George submitted Brazil via SPINNING TOE HOLD
- Race pinned Duggan via VERTICAL SUPLEX
- George submitted Hennig via SPINNING TOE HOLD
- Race pinned George after a VERTICAL SUPLEX followed by a PILEDRIVER.
- as a result, Race wins the United States Championship for the second time (in MLW, Race once briefly held the United States Championship for a couple of weeks before losing it to his enemy Frank Gotch.)

- The Destroyer won via his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK
Match #6: Road Warriors defeated the Dream Team in a tornado match
- this grudge match was won by the Road Warriors when Road Warrior Hawk pinned Greg Valentine after a double clothesline
Promo: Vegasmania is coming!
Match #7: Lou Thesz defeated Bruiser Brody, Jimmy Snuka, Iron Sheik (accompanied by Shawn Daivari,) VWE Champion Buddy Rogers, and VWE Chairman of the Board the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase (accompanied by Larry "The Axe" Hennig) in a VWE Championship elimination chamber match.
- order of entry into the match: Thesz and Brody started, Snuka, Rogers, Iron Sheik, DiBiase
order of eiminations:
- Rogers submitted Snuka via FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE right before the Iron Sheik entered the match
- Thesz forced the Iron Sheik to tap out to a hammerlock
- Rogers made DiBiase tap out to his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE, an irate DiBiase then screamed in Rogers's face
- Rogers pinned Brody after Brody smashed through the glass of an elimination chamber pod
- Thesz pinned a bleeding Rogers via his GRECO ROMAN BACKDROP
- as a result, Thesz is the new VWE Champion!
- as Thesz holds his newly-won title high in the air, DiBiase reappears to yell at both Thesz and Rogers as tonight's show comes to an end.

Brilliant performance by Thesz - Going all the way from being one of the first two competitors in the chamber to becoming the new VWE World champion... Awesome stuff!

The Elimination Chamber event was stellar and it was great to see Randy Savage & DDP emerge as the first VWE tag team champions. I loved the tension between DDP and Savage as well as the call by Ted Dibiase to turn it into a best three out of five based on the DQ results in the first two falls. Very creative booking there.
The Elimination Chamber matches were excellent and it was great seeing both Lou Thesz and Harley Race emerge wearing championship gold. I can't wait to see what is next for the new champions. My favorite thing of the night was seeing Trish Stratus defeat Rock Riddle in two moves. That was hilarious. I don't see Trish having great success in intergender matches, especially against the top tier male talent, so I am hoping to see some ladies join VWE and get a women's division going.

In the Ring: VWE Chairman of the Board the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, accompanied by Larry "The Axe" Hennig
- DiBiase says it is time to introduce the new and first-ever VWE Tag Team Champions Randy Savage and Diamond Dallas Page!
- Savage (accompanied by Malia Hosaka) and DDP appear, they won the VWE Tag Team Championship yesterday at Elimination Chamber by defeating The Taylors in the VWE Tag Team Championship Tournament Finals despite having some chemistry issues and tonight those issues are obviously continuing as they bicker with each other as to who was most responsible for their victory yesterday.
- DiBiase tells Savage and DDP they need to work out their issues quickly because they will be defending the VWE Tag Team Championship at Vegasmania and their opponents will be determined next week on RAW in a tag team elimination match involving 6 of the other tag teams who participated in the VWE Tag Team Championship Tournament: Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff vs The Taylors vs Curt Hennig and Rob Van Dam vs the Dream Team vs Jimmy Snuka and Bruiser Brody vs the Road Warriors!
Match #1: Rob Van Dam (accompanied by Curt Hennig) defeated Sinn Bodhi
- for this match, RVD was accompanied by Curt Hennig with whom he will competing in next week's 6 way tag elimination match for a VWE Tag Team Championship match at Vegasmania.
- RVD won by pinning Bodhi after a leg drop across guardrail and then rolling Bodhi back into the ring for a 3 count
In the Ring: DiBiase accompanied by Larry Hennig (who on his way to the ring had another confrontation with his son Curt Hennig who was heading toward the back with RVD.)
- DiBiase says it is time to introduce the new United States Champion Harley Race!
- Race (accompanied by his manager Bobby Heenan) appears and accepts the handshake thanks from DiBiase and his (Race's) occasional tag team partner "The Axe."
- Race says as "The King of the Ring" he will be the longest reigning United States Champion of all time
- DiBiase says Race's first title defense will be next week on RAW against the winner of tonight's #1 contender's matchup of Nikolai Volkoff vs The Destroyer which was determined by Volkoff winning the Vegas traditional opening 4 way elimination match at Elimination Chamber and by The Destroyer winning his singles match against RVD at Elimination Chamber.
- DiBiase also says Race (or possibly Volkoff or The Destroyer) will be defending the United States Championship at Vegasmania against the winner of next week's fatal fourway elimination matchup involving 4 of the losers in the United States elimination chamber match yesterday at Elimination Chamber: Bobo Brazil vs Pampero Firpo vs Gorgeous George vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan!
Match #2: Pampero Firpo defeated Bobo Brazil
- Firpo won via EL GARFIO as Striker and Zbyszko wonder aloud whether Firpo can once again defeat Brazil (along with George and Duggan) next week on RAW in their fatal fourway elimination match to get the United States Championship match at Vegasmania?
In the Ring: DiBiase and Larry Hennig
- DiBiase says it is now time unfortunately to introduce the new VWE Champion Lou Thesz
- Thesz (who won the VWE Championship last night at Elimination Chamber in the VWE Championship elimination chamber match) appears.
- Thesz says Dibiase cheated him out of $100,000 on RAW #1, forced him to enter #1 in the Royal Rumble, and forced him to start the match at Elimination Chamber- which he still nevertheless won but it is now time for him (Thesz) to deal with DiBiase in the ring. DiBiase says OK- but it will be at Vegasmania and Thesz's VWE Championship will be on the line!
- suddenly Ruddy Rogers appears. Rogers, who lost the VWE Championship to Thesz last night at Elimination Chamber, says he eliminated DiBiase to win the Royal Rumble and he eliminated DiBiase in the elimination chamber last night so if DiBiase is getting a VWE Championship match at Vegasmania then he (Rogers) deserves to be added to this match to make it a triple threat.
- DiBiase responds by telling Rogers next week on RAW Rogers has to wrestle The Axe and only if Rogers wins will he be added to the VWE Championship match at Vegasmania.
Match #3: Nikolai Volkoff (accompanied by Iron Sheik and Shawn Daivari) defeated The Destroyer in a United States Championship #1 contender's match
- thanks to interference from the Iron Sheik and Daivari, Volkoff won via a BACKBREAKER DROP
- as Volkoff gets his hand raised in the air in victory, Striker and Zbyszko comment that Volkoff next week on RAW has both a United States Championship match against Race and (along with the Iron Sheik) a 6 way tag team elimination VWE Tag Team Championship #1 contender's match!

- as the Road Warriors stand on the turnbuckles with their hands raised in convincing victory, Striker and Zbyszko wonder aloud if the Road Warriors will continue their hot streak into next week to win the 6 way tag elimination match for a VWE Tag Team Championship match at Vegasmania as tonight's show comes to an end.

Vegasmania - I love it! I also love the pairing of Ted Dibiase & Larry Hennig and that was a great angle with Dibiase giving himself the title shot against Lou Thesz at Vegasmania. It will be interesting to see if Buddy Rogers can get past "The Axe" to earn a spot in a potential triple threat. I am looking forward to which team gets to challenge Savage & DDP for the tag titles.

Backstage: Trish Stratus is watching Race defeat Volkoff who got this United States Championship match after first winning the Vegas traditional opening 4 way elimination match at Elimination Chamber and says she wants to be in the Vegas traditional opening 4 way elimination match at Vegasmania so she can prove her worth against 3 different guys in the same match!
Match #2: Bobo Brazil defeated Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Gorgeous George, and Pampero Firpo in a United States Championship #1 contender's elimination match
- George tapped out Duggan via SPINNING TOEHOLD
- Firpo put away George via EL GARFIO. It was then down to Brazil vs Firpo in a rematch from last week on RAW where Firpo won.
- Brazil pinned Firpo after a COCO BUTT
- as a result, Brazil challenges Race for the United States Championship at Vegasmania!
- Striker and Zbyszko comment that Brazil in MLW was a former 2 time World Champion but never a United States Champion so he will be going for his 1st ever United States Championship at Vegasmania.

Backstage: on their way to the ring for the next match, the Road Warriors bump into Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka and they start arguing and pushing each other until they get separated by security.
Match #4: Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (both accompanied by Shawn Daivari) defeated Jimmy Snuka and Bruiser Brody, Rob Van Dam and Curt Hennig, the Dream Team, the Taylors, and the Road Warriors in a VWE Tag Team Championship #1 contender's elimination match
- for this match, VWE Tag Team Champions Randy Savage and DDP joined Striker and Zbyszko at the commentary table where they proceeded to once again argue with each other- this time about their preferred opponents at Vegasmania
- Road Warrior Animal pinned RVD via a powerslam
- Road Warrior Animal got DQd when he was in the ring against Brutus Beefcake and Brody entered with a steel chair and smashed it against Beefcake's head to cause Animal's disqualification and thus cause the Road Warriors to be eliminated from this #1 contender's match
- Brody got DQd when he was in the ring with Beefcake when Road Warrior Animal returned to the ring and drove Beefcake through a table to force Brody and Snuka's disqualification
