- Koloff, who is challenging Kowalski for the Intercontinental Championship at Money in the Bank: Smackdown, got DQd for smashing both Abdullah the Butcher and Kowalski with his steel chain.

Backstage: Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long tells the Armstrongs that at Money in the Bank: Smackdown the Vegas Traditional Opening 4 Way elimination match will involve 4 tag teams including them, the Sheepherders, the Conways, and 1 more tag team to be announced.

Match #2: Bobby Fulton (accompanied by Tommy Rogers) defeated Pierre Carl Oulette (accompanied by Jacques Rougeau)

- 1 1/2 weeks before the Fantastics defend the United States Tag Team Championship against the Quebecers at Money in the Bank: Smackdown, Fulton won this match quickly via FANTASTIC CRADLE.

Backstage: Long tells the World Tag Team Champions Rock N' Roll Express that next week on Smackdown they will be in a major tag team match teaming alongside the United States Tag Team Champions Fantastics against their challengers at Money in the Bank: Smackdown the James Gang and Quebecers respectively!

Match #3: David Taylor defeated Boogie Woogie Man, Brian Christopher, Fit Finlay, Disco Inferno, Johnny Mantell, "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal, Lenny Lane, Redd Dogg, and George South in a Smackdown Money in the Bank Qualifying Scramble match

- Before this match could start, Race went right after his enemy Blanchard which ignited a 6 man brawl that the referee was not able to contain and ultimately had to call off the match.

I decided at the last minute as a booker that I would prefer to have that match on my go home episode (next week's episode) of Smackdown prior to Money in the Bank.

- note: during this match, Mulligan got eliminated as he lunged at Saint who ducked out of the way leading to Mulligan falling over the top rope and crashing hard to the mat. Afterward, Mulligan slammed the apron in frustration.

- note: After getting rid of Venis, it came down to Dream Team tag team partners Valentine and Beefcake. At first they held up each other's arms acting like they would declare a joint victory- but then Beefcake jumped Valentine from behind. Beefcake and Valentine brawled until Valentine manged to throw Beefcake over the top rope to win the match.

- As a result, Valentine wins the final spot in the RAW Money in the Bank match as Striker and Zbyszko wonder aloud if this also means the end of the Dream Team tag team.

Backstage: Johnny Saint is walking down a corridor when he is attacked via a lariat from a still angry Mulligan. Mulligan then places Saint in the BLACKJACK CLAW and tells him he just set up a match for them at Money in the Bank: RAW!

Match #2: Randy Savage defeated Ray Stevens (managed by Bobby Heenan)

- a good thrilling match between two of the participants in Friday's RAW Money in the Bank match. Savage won via his FLYING ELBOW SMASH as Striker and Zbyszko again wondered aloud if history will be repeating itself this year with Savage who last year won the VWF Money in the Bank match and went on to successfully cash in the briefcase at Summerslam.

Backstage: RAW General Manager Joe Blanchard tells Exotic Adrian Street he has a match at Money in the Bank: RAW against Diamond Dallas Page.

Match #3: "The British Bulldog" defeated Bobo Brazil

- In a match between two of the participants in this Friday's RAW Money in the Bank match, Smith won via back to back RUNNING POWER SLAMS. As a result, Smith just picked up perhaps his biggest victory yet in the VWF as he defeated a 2 time former World Champion and 2 time former United States Champion in Brazil.

- This match was taking place just 4 days before Thesz challenges Bockwinkel for the VWF Championship and Bundy challenges Snuka for the United States Championship at Money in the Bank: RAW.

- This match ended in DQ when Bockwinkel and Bundy double teamed Thesz and targeted his ankle with a steel chair in an apparent effort to weaken him up before he challenges Bockwinkel at Money in the Bank: RAW before Snuka was able to make the save.
