Just getting caught up on the most recent action and I am loving the buildup to SummerSlam, especially the SummerSlam Scramble qualifiers. Nobody, and I mean nobody, builds up the big events as well as you do. I am in awe of the booking you do in your fed.
The Butcher and The Bear, how could you not love it! That is a great take on the AEW team.

In the Ring: RAW General Manager Joe Blanchard
- Blanchard says to start off this show it is time to introduce new Vixens Champion Trish Stratus.
- Startus appears wearing her new Vixens Championship and starts to mention what an honor it is to be the first women to win both the Ladies Championship and the Vixens Championship when she is interrupted by Fabulous Moolah who is accompanied by Beverly Shade and Toni Rose.
- Moolah, who has already earned a title shot against Stratus at Summerslam, says she plans to show Stratus what she is in for at Summerslam and challenges Stratus to find two tag team partners to take on her, Shade, and Rose in a 6 woman tag match next week on RAW!
Match #1: Blackjack Mulligan (managed by Bobby Heenan and accompanied by United States Champion King Kong Bundy) defeated Bobo Brazil
- A very good match. Brazil, who last week on RAW was challenged by Heenan to defeat Mulligan if he wanted to challenge his (Brazil's) enemy and Mulligan's fellow Heenan Family member Bundy at Summerslam, came up short when Bundy got away with a distraction leading to Mulligan getting the win via his BLACKJACK CLAW.
Backstage: Blanchard tells Melina that her tag team the Midnight Express will be in the Vegas Traditional Opening 4 Way elimination match at Summerslam which will involve 4 tag teams from all 3 VWF brands and the winner will get to challenge for the main tag team championship of their brand on their brand's next televised episode the following week!
Match #2: Ray Stevens (managed by Bobby Heenan) defeated "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith in a Summerslam Scramble Qualifying match
- Stevens won via BOMBS AWAY to qualify for the Summerslam Scramble.
Backstage: Cruiserweight Champion Gorgeous George is informed by Blanchard that in the Sumerslam Preshow he will be defending his championship against 3 other cruiserweights- 1 from each brand- in an elimination match!
Match #3: Greg Valentine defeated Diamond Dallas Page in a Summerslam Scramble Qualifying match
- Valentine, who arrived at this match carrying the RAW Money in the Bank briefcase he won earlier this month at Money in the Bank: RAW, had to survive attempted interference against him by his former tag team partner Brutus Beefcake to win via a eathjump.
- As a result, Valentine qualifies for the Summerslam Scramble.
Backstage: Johnny Saint and Exotic Adrian Street are informed they will have a match next week and the winner will get the RAW spot in the Cruiserweight Championship 4 Way elimination preshow match at Summerslam!
Match #4: Jimmy Snuka defeated Lou Thesz, Randy Savage, and Barry Windham in a VWF Championship #1 Contender's 4 Way elimination match
- for this match to determine his challenger at Summerslam, VWF Champion Nick Bockwinkel and his manager Heenan provided guest color commentary.
- Thesz pinned Windham via THESZ PRESS
- Thesz pinned Savage via THESZ PRESS.
- Snuka pinned Thesz after 4 SUPERFLY LEAPS.
- As a result, Snuka will challenge Bockwinkel for the VWF Championship at Summerslam!

Superfly really overcame the odds in that main event to grab a shot at the VWF championship... Unfortunate that neither Davey Boy or DDP managed to qualify for the Scramble... Still a top notch episode of RAW... Nice work!
