- As a result, per match stipulation, Backlund takes over control of the VWF from DiBiase!
Match #10: Harley Race, Bruiser Brody, and Stan Hansen defeated World Champion Johnny Valentine, Buddy Rogers, and Tully Blanchard (all managed by JJ Dillon) in a World Championship 6 man tag elimination match.

SummerSlam was great. I really loved how that six-man bout for the world title ended up with Bruiser Brody as the new champion - Huss, Huss!
I wish we had an official card for Bob Backlund. I loved the build for the match with Ted Dibiase and now we will see how Backlund handles running the VWF.

The first RAW followingSummerslam!
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) RAW #84 August 21st, Year 2
- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
In the Ring: RAW General Manager Joe Blanchard
- Blanchard begins by saying the next RAW PPV will be Unforgiven on September 15th and then says he wants to start the show by introducing new VWF Champion Jimmy Snuka.
- Snuka, who won the VWF Championship from Nick Bockwinkel last night at Summerslam, appears with his newly won championship and mentions it is an honor to now be one of the very few who have held both the World Championship and now the VWF Championship and he looks forward to defending his title tonight against Randy Savage.
Match #1: Diamond Dallas Page defeated Kenny Jay
- DDP won this match in just 3 moves via a deathjump.
- Afterward, DDP, who has been struggling lately, hit Kenny Jay with a DIAMOND CUTTER to send a statement.
Backstage: Greg Valentine is informed that at Unforgiven he will take on his former tag team partner and current enemy Brutus Beefcake!
Match #2: Bobo Brazil defeated Blackjack Mulligan (managed by Bobby Heenan)
- A really good match. Brazil won via a COCO BUTT and thus defeated Mulligan who Brazil's enemy United States Champion King Kong Bundy previously said Brazil must first defeat before being considered for a United States Championship match.
- Afterward, Striker and Zbyszko wondered aloud whether this victory by Brazil will lead to him receiving a United States Championship match against Bundy.
Backstage: Alexis Smirnoff and the Bolsheviks- who teamed together last week in a 6 man tag match on Summerslam Dark RAW- are seen jumping from behind and attacking Stars and Stripes.
Match #3: Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens (both managed by Bobby Heenan) defeated VWF Tag Team Champions Road Warriors in a non-title match.
- For this match, like all recent matches involving the Road Warriors- including the match yesterday at Summerslam where the Road Warriors successfully defended the VWF Tag Team Championship against Stars and Stripes- there was once again two large men wearing overcoats and large hats sitting in the front row.
- This match ended, when Road Warrior Animal, distracted again by the two men sitting at ringside, was pinned by Stevens via BOMBS AWAY.
- Afterward, Blanchard appeared and said as a result of this finish it will be the Road Warriors defending the VWF Tag Team Championship against Bockwinkel and Stevens at Unforgiven!
Unforgiven September 15, Year 2 T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas, NV 1. VWF Tag Team Champions Road Warriors vs Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens 2. Greg Valentine vs Brutus Beefcake 3. more matches TBA
Match #4: VWF Champion Jimmy Snuka defeated Randy Savage
- This was a great match. Snuka survived three FLYING ELBOW SMASHES and finally won this match after hitting the SUPERFLY LEAP for the third time.
- As a result, Snuka retains the VWF Championship.
End of Show.
