- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
Match #1: BG James (accompanied by Kip James) defeated Ricky Morton (accompanied by Robert Gibson)
- With just over a week to go before the James Gang challenge the Rock N' Roll Express for the World Tag Team Championship at Halloween Havoc, BG James defeated Morton in this singles match via his PUMP HANDLE SLAM.
- As BG James gets his hand raised in victory, Striker and Zbyszko wonder aloud if the James Gang will finally be able to defeat the Rock N' Roll Express in a tag team match at Halloween Havoc and thus end the 8-month reign of the Rock N' Roll Express as the World Tag Team Champions?
Backstage: Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long tells Mildred Burke she will be wrestling Leilani Kai at Halloween Havoc.
Match #2: Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated Pierre Carl Oullett (accompanied by Jacques Rougeau)
- 1 week after defeating Rougeau in a singles match and with just over 1 week until he and an unidentified "patriotic" tag team partner take on the Quebecers at Halloween Havoc, Duggan won this match via his FLYING SPEAR.
Backstage: The Sheepherders ambush and unleash a double team assault upon Bruiser Brody!
Match #3: David Taylor (accompanied by Fit Finlay) defeated Intercontinental Champion Buddy Rogers (managed by JJ Dillon) in a non-title match
- With just over a week to go until Rogers defends the Intercontinental Championship against Finlay at Halloween Havoc, this match ended when Finlay got away with tripping Rogers and Taylor then got away with smashing Rogers with his flag pole. Taylor then got the pinfall via his BRITISH SUPLEX.
- Striker and Zbyszko comment that Finlay may have managed to help Taylor cheat his way to a victory over Rogers tonight but Finlay still has his work cut out for him in trying to win the Intercontinental Championship from Rogers at Halloween Havoc.
Koko B. Ware is coming to Smackdown!
Match #4: Tully Blanchard (managed by JJ Dillon) defeated Magnum TA
- In tonight's main event, Blanchard- who is taking on World Champion Harley Race at Halloween Havoc- got the victory when his fellow Horsemen Johnny Valentine got away with interfering on Blanchard's behalf allowing Blanchard to pin Magnum via his SLINGSHOT SUPLEX.
- Afterward, Blanchard announced he is going to do the same thing to Race at Halloween Havoc and become a 2 time World Champion.
- Afterward, an angry Magnum TA challenged Valentine to a match at Halloween Havoc and- before Valentine could respond- Long appeared and said considered that matchup request granted as tonight's show comes to an end.

A huge win for Taylor! He always did well in my USWA. In addition to that upset over Buddy Rogers, David Taylor has won some other big matches for me too. For example, he won my Smackdown Money in the Bank ladder match three game months ago even though he was later unsuccessful in his cash-in attempt. |
