Stoked that one of my favorite feds is firing on all cylinders once again... Looking forward to the upcoming Royal Rumble... And gotta say that I'm very impressed with Mr Backlund, who qualified for the event without abusing his position of authority... A class act all the way!

Match #1: Hardcore Hodge defeated Juventud Guerrera in a Cruiserweight Championship EAWA #1 Contenders match
- Guerrera controlled the vast majority of this match. Hodge however survived a Juvi Driver and two 450 SPLASHES to make a comeback and win via his OKLAHOMA SIDE ROLL.
- As a result, Hodge has qualified for the 4-way Cruiserweight Championship elimination match at the Royal Rumble where current champion Gorgeous George defends against RAW's Exotic Adrian Street, now EAWA's Hardcore Hodge, and a Smackdown cruiserweight representative TBD.
Backstage: EAWA General Manager Angelo Poffo tells Eddie Gilbert that he will have one final chance to qualify for the Royal Rumble as next week there will be a battle royal for the final EAWA spot in the Royal Rumble!
Match #2: Dirty Dick Hutton (accompanied by Adrian Adonis and Jimmy Hart) defeated EAWA Tag Team Champion Jackie Fargo (accompanied by EAWA Tag Team Champion The Crusher)
- Just weeks before The Crusher and Fargo defend the EAWA Tag Team Championship against Adonis and Hutton at the Royal Rumble, Hutton picked up some important momentum for this team when, as Adonis distracted the referee, Hart got away with smashing Hutton with his megaphone and Hutton then made Fargo submit to his ABDOMINAL STRETCH.
Backstage: Brass Knuckles Champion Shane Douglas is with Francine.
- Douglas: "Francine, what did you want to talk to me about?"
- Francine: "It turns out I am pregnant but I don't think you are the father?"
- Douglas (angry:) "What! Who is the father?"
- Francine: "I think it might be Nacho Barrera."
- Douglas storms out looking for Nacho Barrera.
Match #3: Kurt Angle defeated Dan Severn
- This match was Angle's VWF debut match.
- As this match was about to get started, VWF Chairman Bob Backlund appeared and said he is adding a stipulation to this match- the winner will qualify for the Royal Rumble!
- Angle dominated in his first VWF match and won via ANKLE LOCK.
- As a result, Angle has qualified for the Royal Rumble.

Match #4: Curt Hennig defeated Ted DiBiase
- Adorned in his black glove new look, DiBiase also displayed a new attitude by acknowledging the cheers of the crowd and by shaking hands with Hennig at the start of this match.
- DiBiase- who is going after his record 4th EAWA Championship at the Royal Rumble in a match against current champion Big Van Vader- looked great in this match and had Hennig in trouble. But then Vader and his manager "Precious" Paul Ellering appeared and distracted DiBiase who was then put away by Hennig via the HENNIG PLEX.

I am playing my LOW fed for a few days but then I am going to start playing out my 12 shows (September 2090 through August 2091) for my ROV Chapter 2 fed. I am going to Europe for 8-9 days and it is easier for me to pack all the COTG cards I am currently using (fewer in number) than all the LOW cards I am currently using. But in 2022 my main focus for playing will be back to LOW and Indy. |

Match #1: Tiger Conway Sr. (accompanied by Tiger Conway Jr.) defeated Brian Christopher by DQ in a Cruiserweight Championship Smackdown #1 Contenders match
- Conway Sr. won this match when Christopher surprisingly got himself DQd by smashing Conway Sr. with a steel chair.
- As a result, Conway Sr. gains the Smackdown spot in the Cruiserweight Championship 4-way elimination match at the Royal Rumble where Gorgeous George will defend the Cruiserweight Championship against RAW's Exotic Adrian Street, EAWA's Hardcore Hodge, and now also Smackdown's Tiger Conway Sr.
Backstage: Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long tells Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Bob Roop that they will be a in a battle royal to determine the final random Smackdown spot in the Royal Rumble!
Match #2: Magnum TA defeated the Boogie Woogie Man in a Royal Rumble Qualifying match
- Magnum TA won decisively via his BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX to claim a spot in the Royal Rumble.
Backstage: Long tells US Tag Team Champions Fantatsics they will be representing Smackdown at the Royal Rumble in the 3 way tag Preshow match involving tag teams from RAW, Smackdown, and EAWA.
Match #3: James Gang defeated Sheepherders, Quebecers, and Armstrongs in a World Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders 4-way tag elimination match
- James Gang eliminated Sheepherders when Kip James pinned Luke Williams via STANDING LEG DROP.
- Armstrongs eliminated Quebecers when Brad Armstrong pinned Jacques Rougeau via a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP.
- James Gang eliminated Armstrongs when Kip James pinned Bob Armstrong via STANDING LEG DROP.
- As a result, the James Gang will challenge the Rock N' Roll Express for the World Tag Team Championship at the Royal Rumble.

Match #1: Val Venis defeated Brutus Beefcake
- 1 week after Venis and Beefcake had an encounter in the Wild Card battle royal for a Royal Rumble spot that led to a backstage brawl, Venis won this match via his MONEY SPOT.
Backstage: On their way to the ring for their match, the Midnight Express are told by RAW General Manager Angelo Poffo that, as a result of winning their match last week against Stars and Stripes, they (Midnight Express) will be the RAW representative in the 3 way tag match against Smackdown's United States Tag Team Champions Fantatsics and an EAWA tag team to be announced on the Preshow of the Royal Rumble. Poffo says that a stipulation being added to this match is the winning tag team gets a title shot for the tag team championship of their brand!
Match #2: Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane, accompanied by Melina and Mr. Hughes) defeated British Bulldogs (managed by Captain Lou Albano)
- This was a barn burner of a tag match between one team (British Bulldogs at Elimination Chamber: RAW) who has already secured a VWF Tag Team Championship match and another tag team (Midnight Express at Royal Rumble) hoping to secure a VWF Tag Team Championship match. It looked like the British Bulldogs had this match won but Mr. Hughes got away with tripping Davey Boy Smith who was then put away by a flurry of karate kicks by Lane.
Backstage: Poffo tells Don Muraco that, while he failed to win a spot in the Royal Rumble, he is being named the RAW representative in the Royal Rumble Preshow 3-way singles match also involving an EAWA wrestler to be announced and a Smackdown wrestler to be announced in which the winner will receive a title shot for their brand's secondary championship. Muraco smirks and says he will look good wearing the United States Championship.
Match #3: VWF Tag Team Champion Ray Stevens (accompanied by VWF Tag Team Champion Nick Bockwinkel, Bobby Heenan, and Bob Orton Jr.) defeated Road Warrior Animal (accompanied by Road Warrior Hawk)
- Less than 2 weeks before Bockwinkel and Stevens defend the VWF Tag Team Championship against the Road Warriors at the Royal Rumble, Stevens won this singles match via his CRIPPLING PILEDRIVER after Bockwinkel distracted Animal.
