playing and making my daily fed post here while watching today's GCW show on my other screen:
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF)
Preview of EAWA #51
March 31, Year 3
- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
Match #1: Big Van Vader (managed by "Precious" Paul Ellering) defeated Juventud Guerrera
- Vader controlled almost this entire match and won via his RELEASED POWERBOMB.
- Afterward, Ellering again said his goal is to have Vader drafted to RAW or Smackdown to compete for the VWF Championship or the World Championship and says RAW's Joe Blanchard and Smackdown's Teddy Long need to take notice of Vader.
Year 3 VWF Draft
- currently happening now during the period between Vegasmania 3 and Vegasmania Backlash!
- takes place on every episode of RAW, EAWA, and Smackdown leading up to Vegasmania Backlash!
- in addition to the many wrestlers switching brands through the draft, there will be some new signings and some temporary departures!
Match #2: Kurt Angle defeated Mikey Whipwreck
- Angle, coming off his victory over VWF Chairman Bob Backlund at Vegasmania 3, won this match via a backbreaker in just 2 moves.
MLW Memorial Cup
The MLW Memorial Cup is returning on Memorial Day Weekend! 64 tag teams participating in a 4-day tournament along with non-tournament matches including some Special Appearances!
Match #3: Rob Van Dam (accompanied by Curt Hennig) defeated Iron Sheik (managed by Shawn Daivari)
- RVD arrived carrying the VWF Money in the Bank briefcase that he won at Vegasmania 3. Striker and Zbyszko point out, since it is a VWF MITB briefcase (as opposed to the brand-specific MITB briefcases that are won at the annual Money in the Bank brand PPVs,) RVD if he does get drafted to either RAW or Smackdown can still choose to challenge for either RAW's VWF Championship or Smackdown's World Championship.
- RVD defeated the Iron Sheik (who was also in the inter-brand Money in the Bank match at Vegasmania 3) easily via a split legged moonsault.
In the Ring: EAWA General Manager Angelo Poffo.
- Poffo says it is now time to introduce the new Cruiserweight Champion 2 Cold Scorpio who won the title at Vegasmania 3!
- 2 Cold Scorpio appears wearing the Cruiserweight Championship but quickly gets surrounded and confronted by the Gilberts ("Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert, Tommy Gilbert, and Doug Gilbert.)
- Eddie Gilbert suddenly hits 2 Cold Scorpio with a FIREBALL! As 2 Cold Scorpio crumples to the mat holding his face in pain, Gilbert laughs that "2 Cold is not cold enough for Hot Stuff."
Match #4: EAWA Champion Ted DiBiase defeated Masked Superstar
- Masked Superstar, who got assigned to the EAWA brand after making his surprise VWF debut at Vegasmania 3 where he was the mystery participant in the 20 man inter-brand battle royal which he won, earned this title shot as a result of winning the battle royal at Vegasmania 3.
- DiBiase, who retained the EAWA Championship at Vegasmania 3 with a victory over his tag team partner "Dr. Death" Steve Williams and who once included the Masked Superstar in his Cabinet when he was the Million Dollar Man, won this match via a neckbreaker drop.
- Afterward, DiBiase got confronted by RAW's VWF Champion Nick Bockwinkel, Bockwinkel's manager Bobby Heenan, and Bockwinkel's tag team partner Ray Stevens.
- Bockwinkel announced that he, Heenan, and Stevens from the Heenan Family are tonight's EAWA Draft pick and he wants DiBiase to know he (Bockwinkel) is now the top champion on this brand!
- Backlund appears and tells Bockwinkel that Bockwinkel's VWF Championship is not part of EAWA's Draft pick and that the VWF Championship is now vacated and remains on RAW but he will give Bockwinkel the title shot against DiBiase at Vegasmania Backlash: EAWA!
