With the Draft trade deadline looming, it is time for the first Smackdown since Vegasmania Backlash: Smackdown!
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) Smackdown #86 April 30, Year 3
- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
Match #1: Warlord defeated George South
- In his first Smackdown match since being traded this week from EAWA, Warlord dominated and won in 3 moves via his RUNNING POWER SLAM.
- Afterward, the Barbarian- who had teamed well with Warlord in the 20 man inter-brand battle royal at Vegasmania - appeared and pointed toward the MLW Memorial Cup sign and Warlord said yes as it appears the Warlord and the Barbarian have formed a tag team here on Smackdown and have entered the MLW Memorial Cup together!
In the Ring: Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long introduces the new United States Tag Team Champions Midnight Express. The Midnight Express, who won their record 4th United States Tag Team Championship this past weekend at Vegasmania Backlash: Smackdown, brag about their new championship and say they will ride their current momentum all the way through the Finals of the upcoming MLW Memorial Cup when they get interrupted by Stars and Stripes.
- Stars and Stripes, who earlier this week were traded from RAW to Smackdown in exchange for the Armstrongs, tell the Midnight Express they have their sights set on winning the United States Tag Team Championship and plan to start earning that title shot by winning their Smackdown debut match next!
Match #2: Stars and Stripes defeated Fit Finlay and David Taylor
- Stars and Stripes looked great in their Smackdown debut match which they won when Del Wilkes pinned Taylor following STAR SPANGLED SUPLEX.
Backstage: Harley Race asks Bruiser Brody if, since Brody's regular tag team partner Stan Hansen has been drafted to EAWA, if he would like to form a tag team with him for the MLW Memorial Cup and Brody nods yes!
Match #3: Road Warriors defeated the Conways
- Recently drafted to Smackdown from RAW, the Road Warriors controlled almost all of this match and won when Road Warrior Hawk pinned Tiger Conway Sr. after the DOOMSDAY DEVICE.
- Afterward, an angry Road Warriors said the James Gang showed their true color- yellow- by cheating to defeat them at Vegasmania Backlash: Smackdown but said their first order of business here on Smackdown will be to teach the James Gang a lesson!
Backstage: VWF Chairman Bob Backlund asks Frank Gotch if he will team with him in the MLW Memorial Cup and Gotch says yes!

- Londos was in control early but Magnum TA won via his BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX.
- As a result, next week on Smackdown, Magnum TA will challenge Don Muraco for the United States Championship!

Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) RAW #120 May 2nd, Year 3
- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
Match #1: Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated Butcher Vachon
- This match pitted two wrestlers in Duggan and Butcher Vachon who were making their first RAW appearances since recently acquired by RAW in trades from Smackdown and EAWA respectively.
- Duggan won via his FLYING SPEAR.
- Afterward, Duggan led the crowd in loud cheers of "USA! USA! USA! USA!" which led to him getting jumped by Alexis Smirnoff and the Bolsheviks.
- Afterward, Smirnoff announced the Bolsheviks will be entering the MLW Memorial Cup. Smirnoff then looked at Butcher Vachon and asked Vachon- who Smirnoff pointed out has won many tag team championships- if he would like to team with him in the MLW Memorial Cup and Butcher Vachon said yes.
Backstage: Blackjack Mulligan and King Kong Bundy- two of the Heenan Family holdovers still on RAW after EAWA in the Draft acquired Bobby Heenan, Nick Bockwinkel, and Ray Stevens-say they are entering the MLW Memorial Cup together.
Match #2: Texas Hangmen defeated the Armstrongs
- This match featured two tag teams in the Armstrongs and Texas Hangmen who were recently acquired by RAW via trades with Smackdown and EAWA respectively.
- As this match was starting, Striker and Zbyszko on commentary said that both of these tag teams have entered the MLW Memorial Cup.
- The Texas Hangmen won when Psycho pinned Brad Armstrong after HANGMEN BACKBREAKER.
Backstage: Hillbilly Jim tells George "The Animal" Steele that, after what happened last week on RAW, next week on RAW they take on the Dream Team!
Match #3: Killer Bees defeated Adrian Adonis and "Dirty" Dick Hutton (both managed by Jimmy Hart)
- The Killer Bees turned out to be the mystery tag team opponent of Adonis and Hutton as Jim Brunzell- who last week was traded from EAWA to RAW in the annual trade deadline- has been reunited with his Killer Bees tag team partner B. Brian Blair.
- As this match was starting, Striker and Zbyszko on commentary said that both of these tag teams have entered the MLW Memorial Cup.
- The Killer Bees won this match when B. Brian Blair put away Hutton after the BEE STING.
Match #4: Intercontinental Champion Lou Thesz defeated "Rowdy" Roddy Piper
- Thesz won via his THESZ PRESS to retain the Intercontinental Championship.
- Afterward, Thesz offered Piper his hand in respect. Piper started to ignore it and walk off but then turned around and shook Thesz's hand to end the show.

- Moondogs won when Moondog Rex pinned Pittbull #2 via SHOULDER BREAKER.

- Afterward, Shawn Daivari and the Iron Sheik appeared and set up a tag team entry into the MLW Memorial Cup of the Iron Sheik and Mad Dog Vachon!
