- This match ended when Brazil (who along with Mil Mascaras once won a precursor to the MLW Memorial Cup back when it was called the Sammartino Invitational during the MLW days) pinned Angle via a COCO BUTT.
- As Snuka and Brazil get their hands raised in victory, Striker and Zbyszko wonder aloud what impact this result may have on the seedings for the brackets getting announced later tonight or early tomorrow.

- The Natural Disasters seemingly had this match won when they hit Piper with NATURAL DISASTER but somehow Piper got his foot on the ropes during the 3 count to continue the match. A few moves later, Piper hit Typhoon with an eye poke followed by his SLEEPER for the victory.
- As Savage and Piper get their hands raised in victory, Striker and Zbyszko wonder aloud whether they will receive one of the #1 seeds in this weekend's MLW Memorial Cup as tonight's show comes to an end.

- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko. Striker and Zbyszko explain that today's episode of EAWA is an MLW Memorial Cup Preview show involving EAWA tag teams who have the same seeds in different brackets in action against each other!
Match #1: Pittbulls defeated the Gilberts (Cruiserweight Champion Eddie Gilbert and Doug Gilbert, both accompanied by Tommy Gilbert) and the Moondogs in an elimination tag MLW Memorial Cup Preview match.
- This match involved the Gilberts (the 11th seed in the MGM Grand Bracket) against the Pittbulls (the 11th seed in the Paris Bracket) against the Moondogs (the 11th seed in the Caesar's Palace Bracket.)
- As this match was starting, Striker and Zbyszko on commentary reminded everyone that in the MLW Memorial Cup the Gilberts can choose any two of their three members to participate for each round until they are eliminated.
- Moondogs eliminated the Gilberts when Moondog Spot pinned Eddie Gilbert following SMASH WITH BONE.

As much as I really like your current EAWA Tag Team Champions, Curt Hennig & Rob Van Dam, I think they might have a rocky road ahead of them at the MLW Memorial Cup tournament... Expect they will get past their opening round opponents, but maybe not much further... Hope that I'm wrong.
RnR Express vs. Midnights is always a classic and I'm looking forward to that on the next edition of Smackdown... Good times!

The build to the MLW Memorial Cup has been outstanding. You definitely have a knack for building from show to show and this one was no exception. The bracketing is so impressive laid out like that and what a mix of teams. The anticipation for the big event is almost more than I can handle. Bring it on!

- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko. Striker and Zbyszko explain that today's episode of Smackdown is an MLW Memorial Cup Preview show involving Smackdown tag teams who have the same seeds in different brackets in action against each other!
Match #1: Gorgeous George and Vampiro defeated Boogie Woogie Man and Manny Fernandez in a MLW Memorial Cup Preview match
- This match pitted Boogie Woogie Man/Fernandez (the 13th seed in The Paris Bracket) against George/Vampiro (the 13th seed in the Planet Hollywood Bracket.)
- During this match, Boogie Woogie Man got into a heated skirmish with George which allowed Vampiro to take advantage of a distracted Boogie Woogie Man who he (Vampiro) put away via NAIL IN THE COFFIN.
Backstage: World Champion Buddy Rogers (who along with Tully Blanchard won last year's MLW Memorial Cup) laugh about having to take on "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal and Sam Houston in the First Round saying it will be "lights out" quickly for Regal and Houston and also saying they need better competition.
