(First Half of show)
- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko. Striker and Zbyszko say the afternoon session of Day 3 will include Sweet Sixteen matches for both The Paris Bracket and the Planet Hollywood Bracket.
Match #1: Joyce Grable defeated Leilani Kai in a Vixens Championship Tournament Semi-Finals match
- Grable advanced to the Finals via her MIDDLE ROPE DROPKICK.
Match #2: Judy Martin defeated Trish Stratus in a Vixens Championship Tournament Semi-Finals match
- Martin scored the impressive win via a throat drop on ropes.
Match #3: Bobo Brazil and Jimmy Snuka defeated Iron Sheik (managed by Shawn Daivari) and Mad Dog Vachon in a Sweet Sixteen match
- A good match, Brazil and Snuka won when Snuka pinned Mad Dig Vachon via his SUPERFLY LEAP.
Match #4: VWF Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper defeated the Fabulous Ones (managed by Melina) in a Second Round match
- The Fabulous Ones put up some tough resistance but Savage and Piper advanced when Savage pinned Steve Keirn via his FLYING ELBOW SMASH.
- As a result, the first Elite Eight matchup has been determined: Brazil/Snuka vs Savage/Piper!

Proof again two star singles wrestlers will usually beat a top tag team. Upset there by Judy. often they will. For example, although the Road Warriors have twice won this tournament (both here in the VWF and in the VWF's predecessor MLW,) some of my other past tournament winners have included pairings of Andre the Giant/Frank Gotch and Buddy Rogers/Tully Blanchard. And I was very surprised by Judy Martin defeating Trish Stratus. |

Match #5: VWG Tag Team Champions British Bulldogs (managed by Captain Lou Albano) defeated Gorgeous George and Vampiro in a Sweet Sixteen match
- The impressive run by George and Vampiro came to an end in the Sweet Sixteen when Dynamite Kid pinned George via his DIVING HEAD BUTT.
- As a result, the British Bulldogs advance to the Elite Eight and thus will not have to defend the VWF Tag Team Championship tomorrow during Day 4.
Match #6: Briscos defeated World Champion Buddy Rogers and George Hackenschmidt (both managed by JJ Dillon) in a Sweet Sixteen match
- Jack Brisco submitted Hackenschmidt via his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.
- As a result, the Briscos will take on the British Bulldogs in the Elite Eight as Striker and Zbyszko point out that all 4 tag teams who have advanced to the Elite Eight are comprised of members of the RAW brand's roster.
- As a result, Rogers- who along with Tully Blanchard won last year's MLW Memorial Cup- will now have to defend the World Championship tomorrow during Day 4 as he is a current champion who did not advance to the Elite Eight.
Match #7: Cactus Jack defeated Sgt. Slaughter in a Special Attraction match
- A very good evenly fought matchup, Cactus Jack won via his DOUBLE-ARM DDT.
End of Second Half of Day 3 Afternoon. Day 3 Evening- to complete the round of the Sweet Sixteen- is up next.
