{Promoter's Note: This is my 477th consecutive day for posting fed results on this board.}
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) MLW Memorial Cup Day 4 May 28, Year 3- afternoon Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC) Las Vegas, NV (Second Third of show, First Third is posted above)
Match #5: United States Tag Team Champions Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey, managed by Jim Cornette and also accompanied by Mr. Hughes) defeated Stars and Stripes in a non-tournament match
- First Fall: An incredible fall with 12 combined pinfall attempts, Stars and Stripes won when Marcus Alexander Bagwell pinned Eaton via a dropkick. The crowd went wild as they were vocally in support of Stars and Stripes on this Memorial Day Weekend event. Stars and Stripes up 1-0.
- Second Fall: An even more incredible fall than the first fall as this fall involved 16 pin attempts almost evenly split between the two tag teams as this match was clearly becoming a legendary match in VWF History. Stars and Stripes came very close to winning this fall and thus the United States Tag Team Championship but the Midnight Express won this fall when Eaton put away Bagwell following MIDNIGHT MASSACRE. Stars and Stripes and the Midnight Express are tied 1-1.
{Promoter's Note: With a combined total of 28 pin attempts in the first two falls, it is probably obvious that I choose to reset PINs after each fall in my best 2 out of 3 falls matches. Not resetting PINs in best 2 out of 3 falls matches is how I have always personally done in my best 2 out of 3 falls matches as I want the wrestler or tag team who won both falls outright to win and not the wrestler or tag team who wins subsequent falls at least partly due to building up fatigue on their opponent(s) in the first fall.}
- Third/Final Fall: Midnight Express win when Dennis Condrey pinned Bagwell following ROCKET LAUNCHER after a low blow. Midnight Express win 2-1.
- As a result, the Midnight Express retained the United States Tag Team Championship.
- Afterward, despite the result, the crowd was on its feet yelling "USA! USA! USA!" in support for Stars and Stripes which prompted an appearance by Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long. Long says based on witnessing one of the most incredible matches he has ever seen in the VWF he is immediately giving Stars and Stripes a rematch against the Midnight Express for the United Tag Team Championship at Smackdown's next PPV the Great American Bash!
Match #6: Sgt. Slaughter defeated the Iron Sheik (managed by Shawn Daivari) in a Special Attraction match.
- A good and heated match as the crowd was in a patriotic frenzy as Sgt. Slaughter followed the earlier match with Stars and Stripes. This was an even match with Slaughter and the Iron Sheik trading an equal number of pin/submission attempts against each other until Slaughter went on an offensive run that ended with a back body drop followed by a catapult into turnbuckle followed by the Slaughter Cannon followed by his COBRA CLUTCH. {Promoter's Note: I wrote the stats for this Sgt. Slaughter bootleg I am using for these Special Attraction matches, I like this card alot!}
- Afterward, Slaughter was serenaded with more chants of "USA! USA! USA!" until Long appeared again but this time with Stars and Stripes and Ranger Ross!
- Long invited Slaughter to appear on this week's episode of Smackdown in an 8-man tag match in which he will team up with Stars and Stripes and Ranger Ross against Ivan Koloff, Baron Von Raschke, and the Powers of Pain!
Match #7: Briscos defeated VWF Tag Team Champions British Bulldogs (managed by Captian Lou Albano) in an Elite Eight match
- A very good match. The British Bulldogs came very close to advancing to the Final Four but Jerry Brisco got his shoulder up at 2 and 33/34ths following the TOWER OF LONDON. The Briscos went on to win when Jerry Brisco tapped out Dynamite Kid via his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.
- As a result, the Briscos advance to the Final Four!
Match #8: VWF Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper defeated Bobo Brazil and Jimmy Snuka in an Elite Eight match
- Savage pinned Snuka after a second FLYING ELBOW SMASH.
- As a result, Savage and Piper advance to the Final Four where they will take on the Briscos.
End of Second Third. Final Third is next.

I'm psyched that Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens have made it to the Elite 8 but getting by Big Van Vader & Kurt Angle is going to be tough. I'm enjoying all of the special attraction matches as well.
477 days and counting. Move over Cal Ripken there is a new Iron Man in town!

DDP & the Franchise get past the Roadies... BANG!
Although I picked Angle & Vader to take it all, I can't say that I'm disappointed to see them gone... Of course, I'm cheering for Macho Man & the Hot Rod... Maybe I should have kept the faith and supported them all along.
