The VWF never fails to disappoint and crazy enough Ted Dibiase had us fans in mind when he booked RVD vs. Randy Savage for next week on Raw. Ok maybe that's a stretch but I want to thank Dibiase anyway for setting up an awesome match. I liked the added heat for the U.S. title match at Summerslam with Pampero Firpo locking the El Garfio on Bobo Brazil. Despite the interference, Dennis Condrey over Road Warrior Animal is a shocker. Good also to see Barry Windham and Greg Valentine claim spots in the elimination bout at Summerslam. thanks cruefan68! also congrats to you for getting your fed stickied at the top of the LOW fed forum, I thought that was a well deserved honor yeah, Savage got put into two great upcoming matches- against RVD on the next RAW and then against Lou Thesz at Summerslam.

Keeping those dice dizzy. Savage vs RVD should be fun. thanks Troy, yeah originally my plan was to do the draft after Money in the Bank and then only play my LOW fed about 1 time per week so I could return to my Indy feds and also play them at least once/week. but when I finished my draft and realized my Smackdown brand had no champions, I decided to play at a fast pace through my Summerslam PPV to determine my first Smackdown champions and then once I get through Summerslam also go back to my Indy feds for at least one show per week

Match #2: Fantastics defeated the Heavenly Bodies in a World Tag Team Championship qualifying match
- this match marked the VWF debut for the Heavenly Bodies
- Fantastics won when Tommy Rogers pinned Stan Lane after a FANTASTIC FLIP
- as a result, the Fantastics advance to the 3 way World Tag Team Championship match at Summerslam.
Backstage: Johnny Valentine berates Buddy Rogers for his loss last week to Diamond Dallas Page in the opening round of the World Championship Tournament as it now means that Rogers, despite being Smackdown's #1 draft pick in the recent VWF Draft, will now be competing for neither the World Championship or the Intercontinental Championship at Summerslam and may not have a match at all at Summerslam.
- Valentine tells Rogers (the final World Champion in Major League Wrestling) if he ever wants be World Champion again he needs to return to his old vicious attitude and join him in forming a new Horsemen to run roughshod over Smackdown like they did in Major League Wrestling. Valentine tells Rogers he was impressed with Tully Blanchard last week in how he used a foreign object to defeat Jimmy Snuka in the first round of the tournament and Rogers could learn from watching Blanchard.
Match #3: Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (managed by Shawn Daivari) defeated Miracle Violence Connection in a World Tag Team Championship qualifying match
- Sheik and Volkoff won when the Iron Sheik nailed Terry Gordy with a loaded boot and then made him submit to the CAMEL CLUTCH

- Poffo's Office: Poffo is with Magnum TA, Bryan Danielson, and King Kong Bundy
- Poffo said he liked how RAW used a battle royal last night to determine their two competitors in the traditional opening 4 way elimination match at Summerslam and says he has decided to do a battle royal too for Smackdown to determine its two competitors in the match and this battle royal will be next week and Magnum TA, Danielson, and Bundy will be among the participants!
Match #4: Sheepherders defeated Rock N' Roll Express in a World Tag Team Championship qualifying match
- The Sheepherders scored an impressive victory to advance to the 3 way World Tag Team Championship match at Summerslam when Luke Williams pinned Ricky Morton after a DOUBLE GUTBUSTER.

the final RAW before Summerslam!
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) RAW #35 August 20th, Year 1
commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
Match #1: Pampero Firpo (managed by Rock Riddle defeated Scott Taylor
- 6 days before he challenges United States Champion Bobo Brazil at Summerslam, Firpo made quick work of Taylor and won via EL GARFIO.
- DiBiase's Office: VWF Chairman of the Board and VWF Champion "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (surrounded by his Cabinet- Larry "The Axe" Hennig and the Valiants) is with Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
- DiBiase tells Duggan that both VWF brands will have 2 preshow matches at Summerslam and he is booking Duggan vs Biros Zhukov as one of the RAW Summerslam preshow matches.
Match #2: Barry Windham defeated Brutus Beefcake (accompanied by Greg Valentine)
- this was a matchup between Windham and Beefcake who Windham eliminated last in last week's battle royal to determine the 2 spots for RAW in the Vegas traditional opening 4 way elimination match at Summerslam.
- Windham won via his SWEETWATER SUPLEX
- DiBiase's Office: DiBiase tells Ivan Koloff and Blackjack Mulligan that they are the two highest draft picks by RAW who do not have a match at Summerslam so he is booking them in a match against each other on the Summerslam preshow.
Match #3: Bobby Eaton (accompanied by Dennis Condrey and manager Jim Cornette) defeated Road Warrior Hawk (accompanied by Road Warrior Animal)
- Eaton won this match via the ALABAMA JAM and by gettinbg away with his feet on the ropes as the referee made the three count.
- this is two singles match victories in two straight weeks (last week Condrey defeated Animal, also by cheating) for the Midnight Express over the Road Warriors who they are challenging for the VWF Tag Team Championship at Summerslam this weekend.
Summerslam promo August 26th T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas, NV 1. Rob Van Dam vs VWF Champion "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase 2. match for the vacant World Championship: Bruiser Brody/Tully Blanchard winner vs Harley Race/Diamond Dallas Page winner 3. Lou Thesz vs Randy Savage 4. VWF Tag Team Champions Road Warriors vs Midnight Express 5. match for the vacant Intercontinental Championship: Bruiser Brody/Tully Blanchard loser vs Harley Race/Diamond Dallas Page loser 6. United States Champion Bobo Brazil vs Pampero Firpo 7. match for the vacant World Tag Team Championship: Fantastics vs Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff vs Sheepherders 8. Barry Windham vs Greg Valentine vs 2 Smackdown wrestlers TBD (Vegas traditional opening 4 way elimination) 9. Preshow: Ivan Koloff vs Blackjack Mulligan 10. Preshow: Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs Boris Zhukov 11. more matches TBA
Match #4: Randy Savage defeated Rob Van Dam (accompanied by Vurt Hennig) by DQ
- this was a great match with RVD in control for a good portion of the time, but RVD (who is challenging DiBiase for the VWF Championship at Summerslam) got DQd against Savage (who is wrestling Lou Thesz this weekend at Summerslam) when he used his Van Daminator.
- afterward a gloating DiBiase appeared and remined RVD he also got DQd two weeks ago on RAW against Blackjack Mulligan and that his lack of self control will not get him the VWF Championship this weekend at Summerslam
End of Show.

Great recent editions of both Smackdown and Raw. Some shockers in the tag tournament on Smackdown with Volkoff & Sheik over the MVC and The Sheepherders topping the Rock n' Roll Express. The Fantastics are going to have their work cut out for them at Summerslam. That was classic Ted Dibiase at the end of Raw taunting RVD but he's got a point as those DQ losses could come into play in their championship match.

I was also surprised by the tag team tournament results (more upsets coming on the next show too which I just rolled out but have not posted yet.) RVD's tendency to get DQd can indeed cost him. I had RVD's card in the LOW tournament at Galacticon in Pittsburgh this Summer and I won some matches with it but ultimately lost in the tournament due to disqualification- despite the Galacticon rule of rolling twice for DQs. It will be interesting to see if he gets DQd or not when he challenges DiBiase for the VWF Championship at Summerslam.
