Match #2: Fantatsics defeated Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (both managed by Shawn Daivari) by DQ
- for this match, the Sheepherders (who are in the World Tag Team Championship match against both the Fantastics and Sheik/Volkoff at Summerslam this weekend) were on guest commentary
- this match ended in a DQ when the Iron Sheik smashed Bobby Fulton with a steel chair leading Striker and Zbyszko to wonder aloud would a DQ result determine who wins the newly reinstated World Tag Team Championship this weekend at Summerslam?
Backstage: Poffo tells Christopher and Danielson that he was impressed with their performances in tonight's battle royal as they were the last two wrestlers eliminated and he is putting them in one of Smackdown's preshow matched against each other at Summerslam.
Match #3: Diamond Dallas Page defeated Harley Race in a World Championship semi-finals match
- DDP, who defeated Buddy Rogers in the first round last week, scored another upset when he pinned Race via a Russian leg sweep after just a few moves.

Match #4: Tully Blanchard (managed by JJ Dillon) defeated Bruiser Brody in a World Championship semi-finals match
- during this match, Johnny Valentine (who last week expressed admiration to Rogers for the way Blanchard defeated Jimmy Snuka in the first round) suddenly appeared in Blanchard's corner leading to Brody's friend Jimmy Snuka coming down to be in Brody's corner.
- Snuka then was suddenly grabbed from behind by Rogers who gave Snuka a piledriver on the floor followed by placing Snuka in his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE!
- as Brody got distracted by the attack on Snuka by Rogers, Blanchard got the victory via his SLINGSHOT SUPLEX.
- as a result, Blanchard wrestles for the newly-reinstated World Championship at Summmerslam while Brody instead will wrestle for the newly-reinstated Intercontinental Championship at Sumerslam
- afterward, Rogers, Valentine, and Blanchard together all gave Brody a postmatch attack and then flashed a Horsemen sign to indicate the Horsemen are back!

Summerslam August 26th T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas, NV (Final Third of Show, First Third and Second Third are both posted above)
Match #8: Randy Savage defeated Lou Thesz
- a good match, Savage won via his FLYING ELBOW SMASH
- as Savage got his hand raised in victory, Striker and Zbyszko wondered aloud if Savage's victory makes him now the #1 contender for the VWF Championship in addition to his current Money in the Bank holder status
Match #9: VWF Tag Team Champions Road Warriors defeated the Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey and Bobby Eaton, both managed by Jim Cornette)
- overall, the match of the night so far
- First Fall: Road Warrior Hawk pinned Eaton after a DOOMSDAY DEVICE. Road Warriors up 1-0.
- Second Fall: a crazy action-filled fall, Road Warriors prevailed when Eaton got counted out because he was unable to make it back to the ring before the referee finished his count. Road Warriors win 2-0 to retain the VWF Tag Team Championship.
Match #10: VWF Champion and VWF Chairman of the Board "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (accompanied by his Cabinet- Larry "The Axe" Hennig and the Valiants) defeated Rob Van Dam (accompanied by Curt Hennig)
- RVD showed no fear about his recent issues of getting DQd as he went right after DiBiase and early in the match hit DiBiase with the Van Daminator. The match proceeded with RVD putting DiBiase in trouble but DiBiase managed to retain when his Cabinet distracted RVD allowing DiBiase from behind to place his COBRA CLUTCH on RVD and get the win to retain the VWF Championship.
- afterward an angry Curt Hennig brawled with Larry Hennig up the ramp and to the back
- as an exhausted DiBiase lay smiling on the mat, the music for the Macho Man suddenly played and then RVD took out the Valiants! A fatigued DiBiase suddenly realized he was going to have to defend the VWF Championship without his Cabinet against Savage who showed up to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase!
Match #11: Randy Savage defeated VWF Champion and VWF Chairman of the Board "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase
- a tired DiBiase started the match off with a sneak attack on Savage but ultimately his fatigue that he accumulated from his match against RVD was too much and Savage won via his FLYING ELBOW SMASH to win the VWF Championship!
End of Show.
