The first Smackdown since Summerslam!
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) Smackdown #4 August 28th, Year 1
- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
In the Ring: new World Champion Tully Blanchard (accompanied by manager JJ Dillon and fellow Horsemen Buddy Rogers and Johnny Valentine) is introduced
- Blanchard brags about his victory at Summerslam to win the newly-reinstated World Championship when he suddenly gets interrupted by Diamond Dallas Page who Blanchard defeated at Summerslam to win the World Championship.
- DDP says Blanchard cheated by grabbing the ropes to defeat him and he wants a rematch for the World Championship at the next Summerslam PPV, No Mercy, next month.
- Dillon tells DDP that title shots are earned and not given out on request.
- Smackdown General Manager Angelo Poffo appears and says he agrees with Dillon that title shots should be earned so he is now making tonight's 6 man tag match of Bruiser Brody/JimmySnuka/DDP vs The Horsemen a 6 man tag elimination match and whoever among Brody, Snuka, or DDP manages to pin Blanchard will receive the title shot at No Mercy, yet if none of those 3 pins Blanchard than none of them will receive the title shot at No Mercy!
Match #1: Heavenly Bodies defeated the Taylors
- Tom Prichard pinned Tugboat Taylor after a ROCKET LAUNCHER with Stan lane
- Poffo's Office: Poffo is meeting with Johnny Mantell
- Mantell points out that before the VWF draft he defeated Tully Blanchard in a match (that was the debut match for both Mantell and Blanchard) on RAW and asks if he can thus be considered for an upcoming World Championship match against Blanchard.
- Poffo says if neither Brody, Snuka, or DDP earn the World Championship match by pinning Blanchard in tonight's main event then he will consider Mantell for the World Championship match at No Mercy.
Match #2: "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson defeated Sinn Bodhi
- a good competitive match, Danielson won via CATTLE MUTILATION - Danielson, who since being drafted to Smackdown has been wrestling singles matches after previously being in a tag team with Hacksaw Jim Duggan on RAW, also won at Summerslam on the Preshow against Brian Christopher and appears to be on a roll here on Smackdown
Backstage: Apparently upset over his Summerslam Preshow loss to the Boogie Woogie Man, King Kong Bundy viciously attacks the Boogie Woogie Man. Bundy continues his assault until finally being separated from the Boogie Woogie Man by the Fantastics, Redd Dogg, Scott Casey, George South, and Wild Bill White.
Match #3: Miracle Violence Connection defeated the Rock N Roll Express
- in a rematch from Summerslam where the MVC got a DQ victory over the Rock N Roll Express, the MVC tonight got a more decisive victory when Steve "Dr. Death" Williams pinned Robert Gibson via a BACKSTOP DRIVER.
In the Ring: new World Tag Team Champions Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (along with Shawn Daivari) are introduced
- - the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (who won the newly-reinstated World Tag Team Championship at Summerslam) brag that this proves that tag teams with Iranian and Russian wrestlers are superior to tag teams with US wrestlers.
- Poffo then appears and says the Iron Sheik and Volkoff will have the chance to prove their theory at No Mercy when they defend the World Tag Team Championship against the Miracle Violence Connection who just minutes ago defeated the Rock N Roll Express for the 2nd time in 3 days!
Match #4: World Champion Tully Blanchard, Buddy Rogers, and Johnny Valentine defeated Bruiser Brody, Jimmy Snuka, and Diamond Dallas Page in a 6 man tag elimination match
- Blanchard pinned DDP via a piledriver
- Brody got DQd for smashing a steel chair on Valentine's head
- Rogers put away Snuka via his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE
- as a result of Blanchard surviving this match without getting pinned, neither Brody, Snuka, or DDP will get the World Championship match at No Mercy.
- afterward, all 3 Horsemen attacked a downed Snuka until Brody ran back in and made the save
- Poffo then appeared and said while Brody and Snuka failed to earn a World Championship match at No Mercy he is giving them a match against Rogers and Valentine at No Mercy in a no DQ match!
- as the Horsemen complain about Poffo's decision about having Rogers and Valentine wrestle Snuka and Brody in a no DQ match at No Mercy, tonight's show ends with a promo on the upcoming VWF PPVs.
Unforgiven presented by the VWF's RAW brand September 16, Year 1 T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas, NV 1. VWF Champion Randy Savage vs Ted DiBiase 2. VWF Tag Team Champions Road Warriors vs Midnight Express (tornado match) 3. United States Champion Bobo Brazil vs Barry Windham 4. Curt Hennig vs Larry Hennig 5. more matches TBA

Angelo Poffo laying down the law on Smackdown is great. That was a huge win for the Horsemen, though, and Tully Blanchard escaped all three of those potential challengers. It will be interesting to see who he has to face at No Mercy. Johnny Mantell as the title challenger could be good based on his prior upset win over Blanchard. Great action as always Vegas.

Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) RAW #37 September 3rd, Year 1
- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
Match #1: "The Rocker" Marty Jannetty defeated Bruiser Costa
- during this match Costa could be heard repeatedly muttering to someone named "Leo" but whoever Leo was he was unable to help Costa who lost this match via a ROCKER DROPPER to Jannetty.
- afterward, Costa was taken out in the ring by an angry Pampero Firpo who was accompanied by his manager Rock Riddle.
- Riddle pointed out that at Summerslam that United States Champion Bobo Brazil was fortunate to escape with his title with a DQ win as Brazil was unable to pin or submit Firpo and Riddle challenges any man to try to pin or submit Firpo in a no DQ match at Unforgiven!
- nobody appears to answer Riddle's challenge and Riddle then says "Just as I thought, no man here on RAW is brave enough to take on Pampero Firpo in a no DQ match at Unforgiven."
- Trish Stratus then appears and says she is not a man but as someone who got passed over for Summerslam she wants a match at Unforgiven even if it means accepting a challenge to take on Firpo in a no DQ match!
- Riddle smirks and says challenge accepted but also says he will not be held responsible for any damage Firpo does to Stratus at Unforgiven.
Backstage: Ivan Koloff confronts Hacksaw Jim Duggan
- Koloff tells Duggan he has gotten lucky in 2 quick defeats against fellow Russian Boris Zhukov both at Summerslam and last week on RAW but he (Koloff) is challenging Duggan to a match at Unforigven!
Match #2: Lou Thesz defeated The Destroyer
- Thesz looked impressive in this match and won via his GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP
Backstage: Accompanied by Curt Hennig, on his way to the ring for his match, Rob Van Dam is informed that at Unforgiven he has been placed in a match against Lou Thesz!
Match #3: The Valiants defeated Rob Van Dam (accompanied by Curt Hennig) in a handicap match
- this 2 on 1 match was set up on RAW last week by VWF Chairman of the Board "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase in an effort to punish RVD for taking out the Valiants at Summerslam to set the stage for Randy Savage to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase and win the VWF Championship from DiBiase.
- Curt Hennig was taken away from ringside quickly as his Unforgiven opponent Larry "The Axe" Hennig appeared and the two of them proceeded to once again brawl to the back
- on his own, RVD was ultimately unable to overcome the two on one advantage of the Valinats who proceeded to win the match when Jimmy Valiant pinned RVD after a SUPER ELBOW performed in tandem with Johnny Valiant
Unforgiven presented by the VWF's RAW brand September 16, Year 1 T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas, NV 1. VWF Champion Randy Savage vs Ted DiBiase 2. VWF Tag Team Champions Road Warriors vs Midnight Express (tornado match) 3. United States Champion Bobo Brazil vs Barry Windham 4. Lou Thesz vs Rob Van Dam 5. Curt Hennig vs Larry Hennig 6. Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs Ivan Koloff 7. Trish Stratus vs Pampero Firpo (no DQ) 8. more matches TBA
No Mercy presented by VWF's Smackdown brand September 24, Year 1 1. TBD vs World Champion Tully Blanchard 2. Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka vs Buddy Rogers and Johnny Valentine (no DQ) 3. Miracle Violence Connection vs World Tag Team Champions Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff 4. more matches TBA
Match #4: United States Champion Bobo Brazil and Barry Windham defeated the Dream Team by DQ
- this match ended in a DQ when Brazil was double teamed outside of the ring by both Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake who both hit him in the head with steel chairs to get DQd
- afterward, an angry Brazil (who also got hit in the head with a steel chair at Summerslam by Firpo) said he is tired of getting hit in the head with steel chairs and not fighting back and thus said he wants a rematch next week on RAW with him and his Unforgiven challenger Windham taking on the Dream Team in a tornado match!
- DiBiase appeared at the top of the ramp and gave a thumbs up to indicate he approves of Brazil's challenge to the Dream Team as tonight's show comes to an end.
End of Show.

Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) Smackdown #5 September 4th, Year 1
- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
Match #1: Brian Christoper defeated Redd Dogg
- despite being on defense for the majority of the match, Christopher won by rolling up Redd Dogg after a missed turnbuckle charge
Poffo's Office: Smackdown General Manager is with the Boogie Woogie Man who is angry about King Kong Bundy's backstage attack upon him last week on Smackdown.
- Poffo tells the Boogie Woogie Man he is wrestling Bundy at No Mercy in a Las Vegas Street Fight!
- the Boogie Woogie Man says he defeated Bundy at Summerslam and he will do it again at No Mercy
Match #2: Terry Gordy (accompanied by Steve "Dr. Death" Williams) defeated World Tag Team Champion Nikolai Volkoff (accompanied by the Iron Sheik and Shawn Daivari)
- with less than 3 weeks to go until the Miracle Violence Connection challenges the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff for the World Tag Team Championship at No Mercy, Gordy defeated Volkoff via his PILEDRIVER
Poffo's Office: Poffo tells Johnny Mantell that, since neither Bruiser Brody, Jimmy Snuka, or Diamond Dallas Page were able to earn the World Championship match last week on Smackdwon in their 6 man tag match against the Horsemen and since Mantell has a singles victory over current World Champion Tully Blanchard when both of them were on RAW last Summer, he has decided to grant Mantell's request for a World Championship match against defending champion Blanchard at No Mercy!
Backstage: On their way to the ring, the Sheepherders bump into the Rock N Roll Express and tempers flare between the two tag teams who have to be separated by The Taylors, "Cowboy" Scott Casey, Sinn Bodhi, George South, and Wild Bill White- however the Sheepherders first got cheap shots in against both Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson.
Match #3: Fantastics defeated Sheepherders
- this match ended when an irritated Rock N Roll Express showed up at ringside and distracted the Sheepherders leading to Bobby Fulton pinning Butch Miller after a running knee lift.
In the Ring: Harley Race is introduced as the new Intercontinental Champion
- Race, who won the newly-reinstated Intercontinental Championship at Summerslam, brags about adding the Intercontinental Championship to a personal title history that includes 2 United States Championship reigns and 3 reigns as the MLW Champion
- Race puts down the 3 wrestlers competing in the next match to challenge him at No Mercy by pointing out how Diamond Dallas Page, Magnum TA, and Gorgeous George all lost their matches at Summerslam so No Mercy will basically be almost a night off for him against any one of them.
Match #4: Diamond Dallas Page defeated Magnum TA and Gorgeous George in an Intercontinental Championship #1 contender's triple threat match
- DDP got the victory after pinning George following 2 straight DIAMOND CUTTERS
- as a result, DDP will challenge Harley Race for the Intercontinental Championship at No Mercy!
- afterward, a frustrated George viciously attacked Magnum TA with his Georgie pins. As the blood flowed freely down the face of Magnum TA, tonight's episode of Smackdown comes to an end.
