Randy Savage vs. Stan Hansen sounds like a dream match, cool to see Savage win although in painful fashion. The lineup for New Year's Revolution looks incredible. Also count me in on liking that pairing of Jim Brunzell & Marty Jannetty.

while watching tonight's Money in the Bank PPV, typing up the results I rolled out today
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) Smackdown #18 December 12th, Year 1
- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
Match #1: Brian Christopher defeated the Iron Sheik (accompanied by Nikolai Volkoff and Shawn Daivari)
- a really good match, Christoper used HIP HOP DROP to pick up the impressive victory
- afterward, an angry Iron Sheik, Volkoff, and Daivari triple teamed Christopher and the Iron Sheik applied his CAMEL CLUTCH to Christopher as Volkoff and Daivari kicked him. Boogie Woogie Man ran in to make the save and then challenged Sheik and Volkoff to a tag team match against him and Volkoff at Starcade!
Poffo's Office: Smackdown General Manager Angelo Poffo signs Melina to a Smackdown contract! It is mentioned that Melina's contract allows her to both compete in the Smackdown women's divison and manage an unnamed tag team. Striker and Zbyszko wonder aloud, what tag team will Melina be managing?
Match #2: The Vachons (managed by The Sicilian) defeated the Fantastics
- a great match, the Vachons outlasted the Fantastics and won when Mad Dog Vachon pinned Bobby Fulton following a backbreaker.
- as a result, per match stipulation, the Vachons are added to the World Tag Team Championship match at Starcade against the defending champions MVC and the Fantastics
Backstage: Sherri Martel, Leilani Kai, Rockin Robin, and Pricness Victoria are informed they will be in a tag team match next week on Smackdown before they compete against each other in the Vegas traditional opening 4 way elimination match at Starcade with the winner receiving a Ladies Championship match at the Royal Rumble.
Match #3: Rock N' Roll Express defeated the Sheepherders
- the Sheepherders dominated the early part of this grudge match but the Rock N' Roll Express made a comeback and won when Robert Gibson pinned Butch Miller following a DOUBLE DROPKICK.
- afterward, per match stipulation, the Rock N' Roll Express got to choose the stipulation for their match against the Sheepherders at Starcade. Ricky Morton said, since there is already a steel cage match on the show, why don't they have a second cage match but wrap barbed wire around the sides for a barbed wire steel cage match!
Poffo's Office: Poffo tells Magnum TA, Bryan Danielson, and Gorgeous George good luck in their tirple threat main event match tonight. Poffo also tells them that the two of them who do not win tonight to earn an Intercontinental Championship match at Starcade will instead be wrestling each other at Starcade for a spot in next month's Royal Rumble!
Match #4: Gorgeous George (accompanied by Exotic Adrian Street) defeated Magnum TA and Bryan Danielson in an Intercontinental Championship #1 contender's match
- George won via an airplane spin (which in the process also knocked out Danielson) on Magnum TA
- as a result, per match stipulations, George will challenge Intercontinental Champion Harley Race at Starcade and Magnum TA will wrestle Bryan Danielson at Starcade for a spot in the Royal Rumble!
Starcade presented by VWF's Smackdown brand December 24, Year 1 Thomas and Mack Las Vegas, NV 1. Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka vs World Champion Tully Blanchard and Buddy Rogers (steel cage elimination tag for the World Championship) 2. World Tag Team Champions Miracle Violence Connection vs Fantastics vs Vachons 3. Rock N' Roll Express vs Sheepherders (steel cage barbed wire) 4. Big win for Gorgeous George against some top notch competition... Not sure if he can take the strap from Handsome Harley, but I'm sure he'll give the champ a solid run for his money... Very excited to see Melina in the mix and can't wait to see what tag team she will be managing... Too bad we don't have Johnny <fill in the blank> in the game - That would be a superb pairing right there...

I thought about having Melina manage the Midnight Bees but the Midnight Bees are on RAW and Melina is on Smackdown.

- 2 weeks before RVD and Hennig challenge the Road Warriors for the VWF Tag Team Championship at New Year's Revolution, Animal started off dominating this match but RVD battled back and got the victory via his FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH
- afterward, Hennig raised RVD's arm in victory but Striker and Zbyszko remarked that knocking of the Road Warriors in a best 2 out of 3 falls tag match at New Year's Revolution will be a much tougher task for RVD and Hennig.
Backstage: RAW General Manager Joe Blanchard is approached by Blackjack Mulligan who is upset that Blanchard is cashing in his personal championship opportunity that he earned by surviving Survivor Series at the Royal Rumble ahead of Mulligan- who also survived at Survivor Series- being able to cash in his own opportunity.
- Blanchard suggests to Mulligan that they have a match at New Year's Revolution where if Mulligan defeats him he will earn an automatic spot in the Royal Rumble and thus have a chance to earn 2 future championship opportunities
Match #3: Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey, managed by Jim Cornette) defeated the Armstrongs
- 2 weeks before they wrestle each other in a tag team #1 contender's ladder match at New Year's Revolution with the winner challenging for the VWF Tag Team Championship at the Royal Rumble, the Midnight Express won this match when Condrey pinned Brad Armstrong via SUPLEX ONTO PARTNER'S KNEE

Match #4: Barry Windham and Lou Thesz defeated VWF Champion Randy Savage and Stan Hansen by DQ
- 2 weeks before Windham challenges Savage and Thesz wrestles Hansen at New Year's Revolution, Savage and Hansen clearly had chemistry issues by refusing to tag each other in and instead resorting to blind tags on each other
- the end of this match came when Hansen used a steel chair to smash Windham on the head to get DQd, Hansen then smashed Thesz on the head with the steel chair and then smashed Savage (who he recently sent crashing through a table to send a message to the VWF Champion) on the head wth the steel chair.
As Windham, Thesz, and Savage were staggering from the chair shots, Hansen nailed them all one by one with his LARIAT.
- As Hansen leaves a trail of bodies lying in the ring, tonight's show comes to an end.
End of Show. See you at New Year's Revolution!
