- in a match involving 2 of the 4 tag teams (along with Iron Sheik/Nikolai Volkoff and Boogie Woogie Man/Brian Christopher) in the Vegas Traditional Opening 4 Way Elimination match at Elimination Chamber Smackdown, Gorgeously Exotic got the victory when Exotic Adrian Street pinned Luke Williams via a CRUCIFIX.

Backstage: Smackdown General Manager Angelo Poffo tells Leilani Kai, Melina, and Princess Victoria they have a triple threat match this weekend at Elimination Chamber Smackdown.

Match #2: World Tag Team Champion Bobby Fulton (accompanied by World Tag Team Champion Tommy Rogers) defeated Robert Gibson (accompanied by Ricky Morton)

- days before the Fantastics defend the World Tag Team Championship against the Rock N' Roll Express at Elimination Chamber Smackdown, the Fantastics won when Rogers distracted Morton leading to Fulton getting the win via FANTASTIC CRADLE making it two straight weeks the Fantastics have surprisingly used questionable tactics in singles matches against the Rock N' Roll Express.

Backstage: Johnny Mantell tells Redd Dogg he has been informed they have a preshow match against each other this weekend at Elimination Chamber Smackdown.

Match #3: Intercontinental Champion Harley Race and Johnny Valentine (managed by JJ Dillon) defeated Diamond Dallas Page and Bryan Danielson

- before this match started, Dillon asked Race (who was an original member of the Four Horsemen back in the days of Major League Wrestling) if he would like to join the Horsemen who are currently seeking a 4th member. Race said he would think about it.

- days before Danielson challenges Race for the Intercontinental Championship and DDP wrestles Valentine at Elimination Chamber Smackdown, Race and Valentine got the victory when Valentine hit DDP with his ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER as Dillon got away with holding down DDP's legs.

- in a match involving the competitors in the World Championship Elimination Chamber match at Elimination Chamber Smackdown, Brody got the victory for this team by pinning Abdullah the Butcher via his JUMPING KNEE DROP.

- as a result for being the one to suffer the loss for his team, per match stipulation, Abdullah the Butcher will be the first one to enter the Elimination Chamber at Elimination Chamber Smackdown.

Match #1: Armstrongs defeated Midnight Bees, Boris Zhukov and Alexis Smirnoff, and the Texas Hangmen in a Vegas Traditional Opening 4 Way Elimination match

- this match marked the VWF debut of the Texas Hangmen

- Jim Brunzell pinned Killer via HIGH FLYING DROPKICK

- Brad Armstrong pinned Marty Jannetty via RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP

- Bob Armstrong pinned Zhukov via a knee lift

Match #2: Judy Martin defeated Nora Greenwald and Tina Moretti in a triple threat match

- Martin pinned Moretti via a face-first suplex

Match #3: Johnny Saint defeated Lenny Lane

- a good match, Saint won via a rollup after rebounding off the ropes

Match #4: Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated Ivan Koloff

- Koloff controlled the majority of the action but lost when he swung his chain at Duggan who ducked and then nailed Koloff via an Old Glory knee drop.

- afterward, as Duggan got his hand raised in victory and paraded around the ring with the US flag, Koloff kicked the ropes in disgust

- about a month before the Midnight Express (of RAW) and the Heavenly Bodies (of Smackdown) meet in an inter-brand grudge match at Vegasmania 2, Eaton got the victory via his ALABAMA JAM as Condrey and Lane (who wrestle each other tomorrow night at Elimination Chamber Smackdown) brawled to the back

Match #7: Ladies Champion Trish Stratus defeated Jazz

- Stratus won via STRATUSFACTION to retain the Ladies Championship

- as a result, Stratus will be the one defending the Ladies Championship against Rockin Robin- who won the Women's Royal Rumble last month- at Vegasmania 2!

Match #8: Lou Thesz defeated Ray Stevens (managed by Bobby Heenan)

- this match marked the in-ring VWF debut for Stevens who has rejoined the Heenan Family after becoing a fan favorite in the EAWA brand during the final year of Major League Wrestling.

- Thesz won via double wristlock

- afterward, Thesz got attacked by Bockwinkel and Stevens as Heenan issued directions to them

Match #9: VWF Tag Team Champions Road Warriors defeated Dream Team

- First Fall: Road Warrior Hawk pinned Brutus Beefcake via DOOMSDAY DEVICE. Road Warriors up 1-0.

- Second Fall: Road Warrior Hawk pinned Brutus Beefcake via DOOMSDAY DEVICE. Road Warriors win 2-0.

- as a result, Road Warriors retain the VWF Tag Team Championship as Striker and Zbyszko wonder aloud who will the Road Warriors defend the VWF Tag Team Championship against at Vegasmanaia 2?

Match #10: VWF Champion Randy Savage defeated Stan Hansen and Blackjack Mulligan in a non-title triple threat match

- this match was non-title due to both Hansen and Mulligan failing to defeat Savage in recent matches on RAW, but the stipulation was that if either Hansen or Mulligan defeated Savage in this match then they would get to challenge Savage for the VWF Championship at Vegasmania 2.

- Mulligan pinned Hansen via a lariat

- Savage pinned Mulligan via a flying axe handle

- as a result, neither Hansen or Mulligan will get to challenge Savage for the VWF Championship at Vegasmania 2.

- afterward, Savage got attacked from behind by a DIAMOND CUTTER from Diamond Dallas Page- who won the Royal Rumble last month!

- DDP then told a downed Savage- with whom he formerly held the VWF Tag Team Championship- that now that he knows there won't be either Hansen or Mulligan getting in the way that he will be using his Royal Rumble victory to challenge Savage for the VWF Championship at Vegasmania 2!

Match #12: Elimination Chamber Match- United States Champion Bobo Brazil vs Rob Van Dam vs Curt Hennig vs Barry Windham vs Sandman vs Pampero Firpo (managed by Rock Riddle)

- the first 4 wrestlers to get their entrance music played and appeared and thus get the 4 pod chambers were Barry Windham, Sandman, Curt Hennig, and Rob Van Dam. This meant that Bobo Brazil would have to defend the United States Championship immediately by starting off this match against Firpo!

- Thanks to an outside distraction by Riddle, Firpo pinned Brazil via EL GARFIO after just a few moves! As Striker, Zbyszko, and the crowd react in shock, Riddle screamed there is going to be a new United States Champion tonight!

Next Entrant: Curt Hennig. Hennig and Firpo battled until it was time for the next pod to open.

Next Entrant: Rob Van Dam. RVD entered the match and went to save his friend Hennig from an attack by Firpo.

Next Entrant: Sandman. Sandman battled with Hennig as RVD eliminated Firpo via the Van Daminator.

Final Entrant: Barry Windham.

- Sandman threw RVD through the glass of one of the chamber pods but then got pinned by Hennig via a deathjump from the top of another one of the pods.

- Windham defeated Hennig via a sleeper. RVD was bleeding and crawling out of the smashed chamber pod that Sandman had thrown him into but was unable to make the save for Hennig in time

- Windham pinned a bloody and beaten RVD via his SWEETWATER SUPLEX.

- as a result, Barry Windham wins the United States Championship!

This is Windham's first-ever championship in my fed

Windham however previously came very close to previously winning the United States Championship from Bobo Brazil in a great match- MOTY candidate- at my Unforgiven PPV back in September of Year 1.
