It is now time for the start of Vegasmania 2 with the Philadelphia portion of the show!
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) Vegasmania 2 Part 1 March 24th, Year 2 Wells Fargo Arena Philadelphia, PA
- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
Match #1: Gorgeous George defeated Johnny Saint, Exotic Adrian Street, and Shawn Daivari in a Vegas Traditional Opening 4 Way elimination match for the reinstated Cruiserweight Championship.
- George submitted Daivari via ROLLING HIPLOCKS in just a few moves
- Saint pinned Street after a missed turnbuckle charge
- George submitted Saint via ROLLING HIPLOCKS
- as a result, George wins the newly reinstated Cruiserweight Championship- his 2nd such reign as the MLW title histories are recognized in the VWF. George has now thus tied himself with Pepper Gomez with the 2nd most (2) Cruiserweight Championship reigns behind only the 3 reigns of Tiger Mask.
Backstage: Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey) on their way to the ring for their grudge match against the Heavenly Bodies. Eaton is carrying Jim Cornette's tennis racket.
- Eaton says that Cornette is still out indefinitely following that DOOOMSDAY DEVICE he received from the Road Warriors at the Royal Rumble but Cornette will still be recognized tonight as his tennis racket will be in their corner.
Match #2: Heavenly Bodies (managed by Melina) defeated Midnight Express
- this was a grudge match and an interbrand match pitting the Midnight Express of RAW against the Heavenly Bodies of Smackdown as Vegasmania is one of the few nights where RAW and Smackdown wrestlers can compete against each other.
- Eaton and Condrey controlled most of the match but lost when Tom Prichard pinned Condrey after a Dr. Tom Bomb.
- afterward, clearly frustrated about losing this match, Eaton nodded toward Melina and then picked up Cornette's tennis racket and smashed it against the head of Condrey! Melina then gave Prichard a low blow and left with both Eaton (who dropped the tennis racket on top of a downed Condrey) and Stan Lane as a shocked Striker and Zbyszko says it appears that Eaton and Lane- who together in MLW had 4 World Tag Team Championship reigns and 3 United States Tag Team Championship reigns- are back together but this time being managed by Melina!
Match #3: United States Champion Barry Windham defeated Bono Brazil
- in a rematch from Unforgiven, which was considered one of the best matches of last year and was won by Brazil to retain the United States Championship, Windham this time got the victory over Brazil via his LARIAT.
- As a result, Windham retains the United States Championship.
In the Ring: VWF Chairman of the Board "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase with his Cabinet (Larry "The Axe" Hennig and the Valiants)
- DiBiase says it is now time for his 2 major announcements:
1) DiBiase says when he bought MLW he got the rights to all MLW titles- for example he brought back the Cruiserweight Championship tonight- and MLW branding. DiBiase says he has decided to bring back the former MLW hardcore brand the EAWA!
2) DiBiase says he also has some roster news. The EAWA will get a total of 10 expansion draft picks from the RAW and Smackdown rosters on next week's episodes of RAW and Smackdown and the EAWA will also be signing some free agents- one of whom he will introduce right now- out comes Shane Douglas accompanied by Francine! Douglas says his goal is to become the EAWA Champion!
Match #4: Hulk Hogan defeated Big Van Vader in a Special Attraction match
- a really good match, Hogan won via his LEG DROP.
- afterward, DiBiase appeared and told Vader that, despite his loss tonight, he wants to offer him a EAWA contract and Vader accepted DiBiase's offer to become a full time VWF wrestler on the newly reinstated EAWA brand!
Match #5: VWF Champion Randy Savage defeated Diamond Dallas Page
- DDP got this title match by winning this year's Royal Rumble and then selecting his former tag team partner and now enemy Savage as the champion he wanted to challenge at Vegasmania 2.
- Savage won via his FLYING ELBOW DROP to retain the VWF Championship.
- afterward, Savage offered his hand to DDP, but DDP instead flipped off Savage and left the ring.
End of Philadelphia portion of Vegasmania 2. Minneapolis portion will be posted next!

Vegasmania 2 continues with the Minneapolis portion of the show!
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) Vegasmania 2 Part 2 March 24th, Year 2 Target Center Minneapolis, MN
Match #1: Ladies Champion Trish Stratus defeated Rockin Robin
- for this match, sitting in Philadelphia with Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko, Sherri Martel- the only 2 time Ladies Champion- provided guest color commentary as she has a Ladies Championship match against the winner of this match on the upcoming edition of Smackdown as a result of winning the women's preshow battle royal
- in this match, Robin, who won the women's Royal Rumble match back in January to earn this Ladies Championship match at Vegasmania 2, had Stratus in some early trouble. Stratus however recovered and won via STRATUSFACTION to retain the Ladies Championship.
- as a result, Stratus defends the Ladies Championship against Sherri Martel this week on Smackdown!
Match #2: Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated Ivan Koloff in a chain match
- both Duggan and Koloff used the chain against each other in this brutal grudge match, Duggan got the win via a spinning bodyslam. As a result, Koloff is now 0-3 in matches against is enemy Duggan.
Match #3: Johnny Valentine (managed by JJ Dillon,) defeated Rob Van Dam, Curt Hennig, Sandman, Steve "Dr. Death" Williams, and Terry Gordy in a VWF Money in the Bank ladder match
- a violent match with wrestlers repeatedly getting slammed against ladders and thrown off of ladders, Hennig's head was split open and was gushing blood after he was smashed into the top of a ladder.
- this match was ultimately won by Valentine who took advantage of RVD spearing Sandman off a ladder to open an opportunity for Valentine to climb up the ladder and grab the briefcase
Match #4: VWF Tag Team Champions Road Warriora defeated Stan Hansen and Blackjack Mulligan
- First Fall: Road Warriors won when Road Warrior Hawk pinned Mulligan via the DOOMSDAY DEVICE. Road Warriors up 1-0.
- Second Fall: The greater tag team experience of the Road Warriors again proved decisive as they won this fall when Road Warrior Animal pinned Mulligan via tha DOOMSDAY DEVICE. Road Warriors win 2-0 to retain the VWF Tag Team Championship.
Match #5: Buddy Rogers (managed by JJ Dillon) defeated Ric Flair in a Special Attraction match
- in a match that had been 1 year in a making as it was originally set up last year at the first Vegasmania, Flair and Rogers battled back and forth with Flair repeatedly targeting the lower body of Rogers apparently to set him up for his FIGURE-FOUR LEGLOCK, but Rogers managed to get the win in this Battle of the Nature Boys when he managed to get Flair trapped in his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE and forced Flair to tap out.
- Afterward, Rogers, who had been upset earlier at this year at being denied a title shot at Vegasmania 2 due to his already scheduled match against Flair, said he has now unquestionably earned a title shot after tonight's victory against Flair.
End of Minneapolis portion of Vegasmania 2. Las Vegas portion will be posted next!

Vegasmania 2 concludes with the Las Vegas portion of the show!
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) Vegasmania 2 Part 2 March 24th, Year 2 T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas, NV
Match #1: Magnum TA defeated Tully Blanchard
- in this grudge match for a feud that began back at Elimination Chamber Smackdown, Blanchard started in control and nearly won via his SLINGSHOT SUPLEX. Magnum TA recovered and after back and forth action got the pinfall via his BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX to score the impressive victory over a recent World Champion.
Match #2: World Tag Team Champions Rock N Roll Express defeated Fantastics and Sheepherders in an elimination tag match
- Tommy Rogers pinned Luke Williams after PRESS SLAM/SPLASH to eliminate the Sheepherders
- Ricky Morton pinned Bobby Fulton after DOUBLE DROPKICK to eliminate the Fantastics
- as a result, the Rock N Roll Express retain the World Tag Team Championship
Match #3: Abdullah the Butcher defeated Jimmy Snuka
- in this grudge match, Abdullah the Butcher survived a SUPERFLY LEAP to get the victory via his SUDANESE MEAT CLEAVER
- after the match, Abdullah the Butcher carved up Snuka's forehead with a fork until security arrived to force him back
Match #4: Lou Thesz defeated Nick Bockwinkel (managed by Bobby Heenan)
- in this first-time ever match, Thesz got the victory over Bockwinkel- who has the most World Championship reigns (3)- via his THESZ PRESS.
Match #5: Intercontinental Champion Harley Race defeated World Champion Bruiser Brody in a title vs title match
- a great match and possible MOTY candidate, both Brody and Race scored multiple pinfall attempts on the other. The end came when Race reversed a an attempt by Brody to throw him into the turnbuckle and then shortly afterward hit a VERTICAL SUPLEX to score a clean pinfall.
- as a result, Race is the new World Champion! This is the first World Championship reign for Race (a 3 time MLW Champion.)
- as a result, due to the VWF Constitution preventing a wrestler from having 2 singles titles simultaneously, the Intercontinental Championship is now vacant.
- afterward, Blanchard arrived in the ring and told Race that recently the Horsemen had made him (Race- an original Four Horsemen member back in the days of Major League Wrestling) an offer to rejoin them and now it is time for Race to give his response. Race held out his hand to Blanchard who took it only for Race to then give an unsuspecting Blanchard a PILEDRIVER on top of the newly-vacated Intercontinental Championship!
End of Vegasmania 2.
