As part of the annual VWF draft between RAW and Smackdown, this week's edition of Smackdown will have a slightly extended running time with each of the 5 Smackdown draft picks from RAW being the mystery wrestlers in each of the night's 5 matches:
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) Smackdown #31 April 6th, Year 2 Las Vegas, NV
In the Ring: Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long introduces new Ladies Champion Sherri Martel.
- Martel, who last week on Smackdown defeated Trish Status to win the Ladies Championship to start her third reign, appears and is informed her first title defense will be later this month at Judgment Day against an opponent to be determined!
In the Ring: Brian Christopher
- Christopher finds out his mystery opponent and a Smackdown draft pick from RAW is- Lenny Lane!
Match #1: Brian Christopher defeated Lenny Lane by DQ

- as Mantell ran out of the ring from an enraged Koloff, Striker and Zbyskzo wonder aloud if this means Duggan is also getting drafted to Smackdown tonight
Backstage: Long is with Magnum TA.
- Long tells Magnum TA that he is scheduling a 6 man tournament starting next week to determine a new Intercontinental Champion as Harley Race had to vacate the title upon winning the World Championship at Vegasmania 2 and, as a result of Magnum TA's impressive victory over former World Champion Tully Blanchard at Vegasmania 2, Magnum TA will receive one of the two first round byes in the tournament.
In the Ring: Sheepherders
- Sheepherders find out their mystery opponents and a Smackdown draft pick from RAW are- the Armstrongs! Striker and Zbyszko point out this indicates the Armstrongs were the mystery tag team being drafted tonight from RAW who will be in next week's 4 way tag elimination #1 contender's match.
Match #3: Armstrongs defeated the Sheepherders
- going into next week's 4 way elimination tag #1 contender's match, the Armstrongs picked up some major momentum by winning this match when Bob Armstrong pinned Luke Williams via his GEORGIA JAWJACKER.
Backstage: On his way to the ring, Abdullah the Butcher is told by Long that, as a result of his win over Jimmy Snuka at Vegasmania 2, he will be receiving the other first round bye in the upcoming Intercontinental Championship Tournament.
In the Ring: Abdullah the Butcher
- Abdullah the Butcher finds out his mystery opponent and a Smackdown draft pick from RAW is- Hacksaw Jim Duggan!
Match #4: Abdullah the Buthcer defeated Hacksaw Jim Duggan
- helped by outside distraction from Koloff, Abdullah the Butcher won this match via a Torture Rack Slam.
- afterward, Koloff and Duggan proceeded to brawl until Long arrived and informed Duggan and Koloff next week they have a match against each other and it will be a first round match in the Intercontinental Championship Tournament!
MLW Memorial Cup returns next month for 4 nights during Memorial Day Weekend!
In the Ring: Buddy Rogers
- Rogers finds out his mystery opponent and a Smackdown draft pick from RAW is- Stan Hansen!
Match #5: Stan Hansen defeated Buddy Rogers (managed by JJ Dillon) by DQ
- Hansen was in control when suddenly he got attacked by Rogers's fellow Horsemen- Blanchard and Johnny Valentine.
