Match #9: Vampiro, Juventud Guerrera, and Konnan defeated the BWO

Cool to see Duggan win his first championship! He still has yet to win one in my USWA. Keep the results coming, Zeke! It turns out that Duggan was the last wrestler (from either their color card or from their earlier black and white card) from the LOW color starter set from 2016 not to have won a championship (at some singles level or tag) before in my MLW/VWF shared history. In the black and white LOW starter set from 2003 however King Kong Bundy, Killer Kowalski, The Destroyer, Red Bastien, and Ox Baker (who came very close though in barely losing to Jerry Lynn in the finals of my just completed Brass Knuckles Championship) have yet to win a championship.

the first RAW following this past weekend's Backlash!
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) RAW #68 April 23th, Year 2
- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
Match #1: Stars and Stripes defeated the Dream Team
- as this match was starting, Striker and Zbyszko mentioned that both of these tag teams have been added to the MLW Memorial Cup tournament
- Stars and Stripes won this match when Del Wilkes pinned Brutus Beefcake via a powerslam
- as a result, Stars and Stripes (who defeated the Bolsheviks at Backlash) remain undefeated in the VWF
Backstage: RAW General Manager Joe Blanchard is talking to Jazz who won the women's gauntlet match at Backlash where she even made 4 of the 5 elimination in a dominating appearance.
- Jazz asks, since she won the gauntlet match, if Blanchard can arrange a title shot for her against Ladies Champion Sherri Martel who is on the Smackdown brand. Blanchard says no because RAW is soon going to get its own women's championship but in the tournament to determine that first champion he will make Jazz the #1 seed.
Match #2: Blackjack Mulligan defeated Diamond Dallas Page in a no DQ match.
- this was a match from Backlash in which DDP got himself DQd.
- Mulligan controlled most of this match and won via a lariat.
- during the match and afterward the crowd was cheering for Mulligan against the despised DDP, but Mulligan did not seem receptive to their cheers.
Backstage: Lou Thesz approaches VWF Champion Randy Savage who defeated him at Backlash to retain the VWF Championship.
- Thesz tells Savage that he (Savage) was the better man this past weekend and wants to know if Savage would like to be his tag team partner for this year's MLW Memorial Cup. Savage agrees to team with Thesz in the MLW Memorial Cup!
Match #3: Bobo Brazil defeated King Kong Bundy (managed by Bobby Heenan) in a no DQ match
- before this match started, Heenan announced he has 2 Heenan Family entries into the MLW Memorial Cup: 1) Nick Bockwinkel/Ray Stevens and 2) Bundy and the newest member of the Heenan Family who he will introduce shortly!
- this match was taking place because Bundy got himself DQd against Brazil in their match at Backlash.
- This was a good match that went back and forth. At one point it looked like Brazil was about to win only to get attacked in the ring by Mulligan as Heenan announced Mulligan as the newest member of the Heenan Family and thus Bundy's tag partner for the MLW Memorial Cup! Despite being double teamed 2 on 1, Brazil received some help when Jimmy Snuka (who has been feuding with Bockwinkel of the Heenan Family) arrived to make the save and force Mulligan to leave the ring. Brazil then got the pinfall on Bundy via one of his COCO BUTTs.
- Afterward, Brazi asked Snuka if he would like to team with him in the MLW Memorial Cup and Snuka said yes!
MLW Memorial Cup Thursday-Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend 1. 64 tag team tournament: VWF Champions Road Warriors, Bruiser Brody/Stan Hansen, Midnight Express, VWF Champion Randy Savage/Lou Thesz, Bobo Brazil/Jimmy Snuka, Nick Bockwinkel/Ray Stevens, Stars and Stripes, Blackjack Mulligan/King Kong Bundy, Dream Team, and 55 more tag teams TBA 2. title defenses TBD 3. Special Attraction matches TBA
Match #4: Jimmy Snuka defeated Val Venis in a United States Championship #1 Contender's match
- for this match to determine his next challenger, United States Champion Barry Windham provided guest color commentary.
- Snuka got the victory over Venis via his SUPERFLY LEAP.
- As a result, Snuka will challenge Windham next week for the United States Championship (a title Snuka has never held!)
End of Show.

the first episode of EAWA following this weekend's Hardcore Heaven PPV!
Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) EAWA #4 April 24th, Year 2
- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko
In the Ring: EAWA General Manager Angelo Poffo
- Poffo says that all 3 new EAWA champions, as a result from last weekend's Hardcore Heaven, will be introduced tonight starting with the new EAWA Tag Team Champions Vachons!
- EAWA Tag team Champions Vachons (their 2nd such reign) are introduced along with their manager The Sicilian.
- Poffo says the Vachons will be in the upcoming MLW Memorial Cup as will the two tag teams in this next match- both top competitors to the Vachons- the Miracle Violence Connection and The Crusher/Jackie Fargo!
Match #1: Miracle Violence Connection defeated The Crusher and Jackie Fargo
- This was a rematch from this past weekend's EAWA Tag Team Championship Tournament Semi-Finals which was a great match and this was a great and highly competitive match too. MVC outlasted The Crusher/Fargo to win when "Dr. Death" Steve Williams pinned Fargo after 2 consecutive BACKDROP DRIVERS.
In the Ring: Poffo. Poffo introduces new Brass Knuckles Champion Jerry Lynn.
- Lynn brags about winning the Brass knuckles Championship and says he is looking for a wrestler lucky enough to be his tag team partner in the upcoming MLW Memorial Cup.
- Poffo reminds Lynn that if he and his partner do not make the final 8 tag teams then, like all other champions in the tournament, he will have to defend his title on Day 4 of the MLW Memorial Cup and two of his potential challengers are the wrestlers in this next match: Ox Baker and Sandman!
Match #2: Sandman defeated Ox Baker
- Sandman took advantage of the no DQ/no countout rules for all EAWA matches to get away with smashing Baker with both his Singapore cane and with giving Baker a DDT on top of his Singapore cane. Sandman, a former EAWA Champion, won this match following his WHITE RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP.
Backstage: The Midnight Bees ("The Rocker" Marty Jannetty and Jim Brunzell) say they are registering to compete in the MLW Memorial Cup!
Match #3: Konnan defeated Juventud Guerrera
- both Konnan and Guerrera, along with Vampiro, made their surprise VWF debuts last weekend at Hardcore Heaven in a 6 man tag victory over the BWO.
- a really good singles match between two of the newest EAWA roster members. Guerrera almost won but Konnan got the victory via his NIAGARA DRIVER.
Backstage: Rob Van Dam, as he is getting ready for his triple threat main event match tonight, is approached by Curt Hennig. Hennig suggests, and RVD agrees, they reenter the MLW Memorial Cup together! In the Ring: Poffo introduces new EAWA Champion Big Van Vader.
- after Vader is introduced, World Champion Harley Race from the Smackdown brand makes a surprise appearance!
- Race suggests to Vader they team up together in the MLW Memorial Cup- the World Champion and the EAWA Champion together as an entry! Vader says yes!
- Striker and Zbyszko comment that a tag team of Race and Vader will undoubtedly have to be one of the four #1 seeds in the MLW Memorial Cup.
- Poffo congratulates Vader on winning the EAWA Championship and tells him his first challenger could be one of the 3 wrestlers in this next match: RVD, Shane Douglas, and the Iron Sheik!
Match #4: Shane Douglas (accompanied by Francine) defeated Rob Van Dam and the Iron Sheik (managed by Shawn Daivari) in a triple threat match
- this triple threat involved the 3 wrestlers who lost in either the Semi-Finals or the Finals of the EAWA Championship Tournament this past weekend at Hardcore Heaven.
- a really good triple threat, Douglas got the victory when he pinned the Iron Sheik via a BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX.
- afterward Lynn appeared and offered Douglas the opportunity to be his tag partner in the MLW Memorial Cup and Douglas said yes!
MLW Memorial Cup Thursday-Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend 1. 64 tag team tournament: VWF Champions Road Warriors, Bruiser Brody/Stan Hansen, Midnight Express, World Champion Harley Race/EAWA Champion Big Van Vader, VWF Champion Randy Savage/Lou Thesz, Bobo Brazil/Jimmy Snuka, Miracle Violence Connection, Nick Bockwinkel/Ray Stevens, EAWA Tag Team Champions Vachons, Rob Van Dam/Curt Hennig, Stars and Stripes, The Crusher/Jackie Fargo, Blackjack Mulligan/King Kong Bundy, Dream Team, Midnight Bees, and 50 more tag teams TBA 2. title defenses TBD 3.
