BREAKING NEWS:
The VWF has signed Hulk Hogan and "The Big Cat" Ernie Ladd to temporary contracts for the upcoming MLW Memorial Cup where they, along with the previously announced Bob Backlund and Pedro Morales, will compete in non-tournament Special Attraction matches throughout the tournament!

Man, that's one heck of a tournament.
I have such respect for you, as well as guys like Justin Case and especially Shane Sullivan, who run these massive multi-man/team tournaments. I seldom run more than eight-man/team tournaments, and even then, I can't wait to get to the end.

Tournament looks sweet! Add in all the special attraction matches and it turns into "Da Bomb"!  Looks like your going to be busy for a bit and cant wait to see the results. |

- commentators: Matt Striker and Larry Zbyszko who begin the show by saying that tonight fans will major Special Attraction matches involving some of the guest tag team members participating in this weekend's MLW Memorial Cup!
Match #1: East-West Connection defeated Rob Van Dam and Curt Hennig in a Special Attraction match
- this match pitted the #5 seed of Bracket B (RVD/Hennig) against the #6 seed of Bracket B (East-West Connection)
- a really good match, RVD and Hennig came close to winning but the end came when Jesse Ventura smashed Hennig with a foreign object and Adrian Adonis then submitted Hennig via GOOD NIGHT IRENE.
Backstage: Steve "Dr. Death" tells his Miracle Violence Connection tag team partner Terry Gordy- who is getting ready to team with the visiting Freebirds- not to forget where his loyalties need to be in the MLW Memorial Cup this weekend as the MVC (the #4 see of Bracket A) could possibly be facing Michael Hayes and Buddy Roberts (the #5 seed of Bracket A) in the 2nd round of the tournament. Gordy says Williams needs to remember the same thing and not be focusing on possibly cashing in his (Williams's) upcoming EAWA Championship match on Day 4 if EAWA Champion Big Van Vader and Vader's tag partner World Champion Harley Race unexpectedly get eliminated in the first 3 days of the tournament as it seems the MVC is not on the same page going into the MLW Memorial Cup.
Match #2: EAWA Champion Big Van Vader defeated Dory Funk Jr. in a non-title Special Attraction match
- Vader won via his RELEASED POWERBOMB
Backstage: The Crusher and Jackie Fargo run into the EAWA Tag Team Champions Vachons. The Vachons tell The Crusher/Fargo to get out of their way. The Crusher/Fargo point out that they are in the same Bracket (A) as the Vachons in the MLW Memorial Cup so the Vachons better not plan on advancing to the Final Four and by the end of this weekend they (Crusher/Fargo) will have proven themselves for a title shot against the Vachons!
Match #3: Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy, and Buddy Roberts) defeated the Von Erichs (David Von Erich, Kevin Von Erich, and Kerry Von Erich) in a 6 man tag tornado Special Attraction match.
- for just this match, Gordy teamed up with his former fellow Freebirds Hayes and Roberts who are making temporary special appearances until the end of the MLW Memorial Cup.
- For this weekend's MLW Memorial Cup, Kevin and Kerry Von Eric are the #3 seed in Bracket B and Hayes/Roberts are the #5 seed in Bracket A.
- the Von Erichs won this match when Kerry Von Erich pinned Roberts via his DISCUS PUNCH.
