Vegas Wrestling Federation (VWF) MLW Memorial Cup Day 1- late afternoon May 25, Year 2 Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC) Las Vegas, NV (Second Half of Show, First Half is posted above)
Match #5: Sheepherders defeated the James Gang in a First Round match
- in a matchup between 2 tag teams on Smackdown who clearly do not like each other, the Sheepherders advanced when Luke Williams got away with smashing Kip James from behind with a steel chair and then he and Butch Miller hit Kip James with DOUBLE GUTBUSTER leading to Miller getting the pinfall on Kip James.
Match #6: Rob Van Dam and Curt Hennig defeated Ox Baker and the Sandman by DQ in a First Round match
- this match ended in a DQ after Sandman smashed RVD twice over the head with his SINGAPORE CANE. As Striker and Zbyszko commented, Sandman- a member of the EAWA roster- was out of his element in this match as all matches in the EAWA are no DQ and no countout and thus he would not have been DQd in an EAWA match.
Match #7: Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens (both managed by Bobby Heenan) defeated the Iron Sheik and Shawn Daivari in a First Round match
- the Iron Sheik and Daivari came dangerously close to scoring a major upset here but lost when Stevens put away Daivari via CRIPPLING PILEDRIVER.
Match #8: World Champion Harley Race and EAWA Champion Big Van Vader defeated Scott Taylor and "Sodbuster" Kenny Jay in a First Round match
- despite Taylor and Jay getting in some brief and surprising offense- including Jay twice bodyslamming Vader!- this match ended when Race pinned Jay via his PILEDRIVER.
End of Show. Bracket C First Round is up next.

EAWA General Manager Angelo Poffo arrived and said The Crusher and Fargo can challenge the Vachons for the EAWA Tag Team Championship on Day 4/Sunday as he has already been planning, since yesterday's results which saw the early eliminations of both the MVC and the visiting Freebirds, to have the MVC take on Michael Hayes and Buddy Roberts in a non-tournament match on Day 4/Sunday!
