Match #1: Killer Kowalski defeated Magnum TA, Ivan Koloff, and Fit Finlay (accompanied by Dave Taylor) in a Vegas Traditional Opening 4 Way Elimination match

- Kowalski eliminated Koloff via KOWALSKI CLAW

- Kowalski eliminated Finlay via KOWALSKI CLAW

- Kowalski eliminated Magmnum TA via KOWALSKI CLAW

- As a result of winning this match, Kowalski receives an Intercontinental Championship match this evening against the defending champion Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

Match #2: Mildred Burke defeated Ida Mae Martinez in the Ladies Championship #1 Contender's Tournament Finals

- For this match to determine her challenger this evening, Ladies Champion Sherri Martel provided guest color commentary.

- Burke won via her ALLIGATOR CLUTCH.

- As a result, Burke will challenge Martel this evening for the Ladies Championship!


Match #3: World Tag Team Champions Rock N' Roll Express defeated Barry Windham and "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith in an Elite Eight match

- a good match, the Rock N' Roll Express advanced to the Final Four when Smith missed a deathjump and then got hit with DOUBLE DROPKICK to lead to the pinfall victory by Ricky Morton.

- As a result, the Rock N' Roll Express win Bracket D!

- As a result, the Rock N' Roll Express, who got all the way to the finals of the MLW Memorial Cup last year before losing to the Road Warriors, are now only 1 victory away from back to back trips to the MLW Memorial Cup Finals!

Match #4: Fabulous Moolah defeated Melina in the Vixens Championship Tournament Finals

- Melina got in some good early offense but Moolah came back strong and won via a knee lift.

- As a result, Moolah is the first-ever Vixens Champion.

Match #5: Cruiserweight Champion Gorgeous George (accompanied by Exotic Adrian Street) defeated Juventud Guerrera (accompanied by Konnan)

- George won via ROLLING HIPLOCKS to retain the Cruiserweight Championship.

Match #6: The Funks defeated VWF Tag Team Champions Road Warriors in an Elite Eight match

- The Funks stunned everyone by winning this match when Dory Funk Jr. pinned Road Warrior Animal via a BUTTERFLY SUPLEX.

- As a result, last year's MLW Memorial Cup winners the Road Warriors are now eliminated.

- As a result, the Funks have won Bracket A and now advance to the Final Four where they will take on the Rock N' Roll Express this evening.

Yeah, it was a shocking loss. The Road Warriors won this tournament last year and have held my VWF Tag Team Championship now for 10 months of game time (late July through late May/now) and counting. They very rarely lose.

Match #7: Brass Knuckles Champion Jerry Lynn defeated Rob Van Dam in a Brass Knuckles match

- Lynn won via CRADLE PILEDRIVER to retain his Brass Knuckles Championship

Match #8: Pedro Morales defeated the Great Muta by DQ in a Special Attraction match

- this match ended when the Great Muta got DQd for spraying Morales with his MUTA MIST.

Match #9: Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane, both managed by Melina) defeated United States Champion Jimmy Snuka and Bobo Brazil in an Elite Eight match.

- This was an incredible tag match and one of the best matches of the entire tournament so far as each team was trying hard to win Bracket C and advance to the Final Four. The end came when Melina gave Brazil a low blow and then Eaton put away Brazil following VEG-O-MATIC.

- As a result, the Midnight Express have won Bracket C and have made it to the Final Four.

Match #10: The Crusher and Jackie Fargo defeated EAWA Tag Team Champions Vachons (managed by The Sicilian) in a non-tournament match

- First Fall: Vachons won when Mad Dog Vachon pinned The Crusher via a jumping knee drop. Vachons up 1-0.

- Second Fall: The Crusher submitted Mad Dog Vachon via his CRUSHER NELSON to tie it up at 1-1.

- Third/Final Fall: The Crusher submitted Butcher Vachon via his CRUSHER NELSON. The Crusher and Fargo win 2-1.

- As a result, The Crusher and Jackie Fargo are the new EAWA Tag Team Champions!

- As a result, The Crusher- the 1st ever EAWA Champion and also a 2 time former Brass Knuckles Champion- is now the first-ever EAWA Triple Crown Champion!

Match #11: Bruiser Brody and Stan Hansen defeated the Wild Samoans in a Special Attraction tornado non-tournament match

- this was a wild brawl that spread all over and around the ring and ended when Hansen pinned Sika via his LARIAT.

Match #12: Buddy Rogers and Tully Blanchard (both managed by JJ Dillon) defeated World Champion Harley Race and EAWA Champion Big Van Vader in an Elite Eight match

- This Elite Eight match pitted the #1 seed (Race/Vader) vs the #2 seed (Rogers/Blanchard) of Bracket B.

- Race and Vader started off strong and this was a very good match but the end came when Dillon got away with raking the eyes of Vader who then blindly tapped out to the FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE of Rogers.

- As a result, the Final Four tonight will be (1) Rock N' Roll Express vs (3) Funks and (4) Midnight Express vs (2) Buddy Rogers and Tully Blanchard
