A distraction by Ivan, and interference by Zhukov, led to Duggan Spearing Uncle Ivan. The melee on the outside had Dibiase distracted long enough to almost be decapitated by a Russian Sickle!!!




* After the match, a crazed eyed Bruiser Brody stomped to ringside swinging his chain wildly over his head! He leveled everyone in his path of destruction, Ivan, Boris and Duggan. It took an army of officials and security to stop the rampage!




MAGNUM TA 1 defeated BUDDY ROGERS 1 /w/ Rock Riddle by PIN

- Rogers was arrogant and over confident, Magnum was focused and determined. Bad news for The Nature Boy, as he walked right into a lightning fast Belly To Belly Suplex. Rogers and Riddle argued with referee Tommy Young about a fast count, as Magnum advances to the Final Four to face his old rival Nikita!

The mystery man dropped Randy with a surprise Russian Leg Sweep and then dropped a wicked Backward Elbow drop. The attacker ripped the hooded jacket off and revealed..... 'The Handsome Halfbreed' GINO HERNANDEZ !!!

- AWESOME MATCH!!! Two second generation Texan wrestlers met in a classic and had the fans on their feet the entire match. Both tried to finish the other with their respective Claws, but both continued to fight like true Texans. D.V.E. went for a late deathjump and the 'high risk' maneuver cost him, as Barry caught him coming off the top with a nasty Lariat. The fans were out of breath when Tommy Young's hand slapped the mat a third time.

* Great match between two very evenly matched fan favorites. Williams hit a thunderous Oklahoma Stampede late, but Windham managed to 'barely' get a foot on the bottom rope. Doc was clearly frustrated and his frustration caused him to make a mistake in the form of a missed turnbuckle charge. A Sweetwater Suplex later and Barry was on to the finals...






TULLY BLANCHARD 4 /w/ J.J. Dillon defeated CHRIS ADAMS 3

* A Superkick loosened Tully's molars and a second had him for sure beat, but J.J. distracted referee Nick Patrick as he slipped something to Tully. Adams went to continue his assault, as Patrick ordered Dillon off the apron, but got caught with a solid right hand that sent him to the mat like a sack of potatoes. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what J.J. slipped to Tully, as quarters flew everywhere when the punch landed. When Nick Patrick turned around all he saw was a Slingshot Suplex and made the count.

Confused, WCCW referee David Manning had no choice but to make the three count. Hayes and iceman embraced and THE BLACKBIRD has arrived!!!

BRUISER BRODY 3 defeated DAVID VON ERICH 2 (C) by PIN

* D.V.E. had Brody locked in a late Figure Four Leglock, but interference by HARLEY RACE saved Bruiser form sure defeat! Brody mounted a huge comeback and scored the win after a Jumping Knee Drop!!! It was clear Harley was still pissed about being eliminated from the tournament by the Von Erich prodigy.

- The GRAPPLER walked out on stage and called Bundy a bum... Telling him how he let his partner down in their biggest match. Bundy charges up the ramp after the masked man, but the cerebral Grappler disappears into the back. Not before leaving King Kong with one final statement.

BARRY WINDHAM 3 defeated MAGNUM TA 4 by PIN

* The two top fan favorites shook hands before the bell rang, but once it did IT WAS ON! Magnum almost grabbed the brass ring after a Belly To Belly Suplex but Windham got a foot on the bottom rope. It was back and forth until Barry hit a Sweetwater Suplex for a 'close' pinfall, but Magnum kicked out at the last possible second. Keeping his focus, Barry did not become frustrated and quickly applied the Blackjack Claw. Magnum struggled to get free and was counted down while he did!!!




- Barry's celebration was cut short when the big screen about the entrance came on... and a very familiar face appeared.


"Congratulation Blackjack Mulligan Jr..... You're a corporate created paper champion.... It doesn't matter who you beat to get there... because you DIDN'T BEAT ME!!! I'M THE REAL CHAMP AND EVERYBODY KNOWS IT!!! HAHA... I'M THE NATURE BOY RIC FLAIR AND YOU'RE NOT!!!...… The N.W.A. in all their wisdom decided to fire me after a backstage brawl... WHY?!?!?.... Everybody does it from time to time, but I get fired for it?!?... Yeah, I accidently hit the Commissioner with a lead pipe meant for Piper, that was unfortunate but not termination worthy.... So again I ask why?..... Because they felt they had to get rid of me so LOW stars like you can wear MY belt... I have a team of attorneys working on my reinstatement and I will be back... So masquerade as champ until then, but just know you're not really the champ..... because, TO BE THE MAN.. YOU HAVE TO BEAT THE MAN!!! WOOOOoooooo… and boy you didn't and never will beat the ME!"
