So I have just discovered LOW and Superstar Wrestling. I tried SSW and, while I enjoy it, I feel it is a little too involved. I've been looking at some threads here and on table-top sports and think this is likely the game I prefer. However, I don't know where to start. There seems to be a large number of various "packs" and releases. I have no idea where to initially invest and was hoping I can get some advice on which packs to start with and where I can help flesh out a roster via homebrew/bootleg cards.
I know not everyone plays the game the same way, so I thought I would share a little about myself. I'm a 33-year old father to one daughter, I am not looking for online play. I want solitaire play at home a couple times a week and I would like a roster large enough to run my own federation for my personal enjoyment and possibly for sharing on the boards.
I'd love to give Filsinger some of my money lol...I just don't know where to start.
Thanks for any advice you all provide. I'm really looking forward to getting started.
Also, is there any way to have PDF delivery of this product? I'd rather be able to purchase and download the documents and cards needed rather than wait/pay for shipping.

Start with the new LOW color starter set... Not available as a PDF, but if you get the online set, you can still play solitaire on your computer or tablet. If you would rather have physical cards, then having them shipped to you is the only option at present. But they are worth the wait! I have been playing Filsinger products since 1989, so you can look forward to a lot of fun in the future. Welcome aboard!!

The CAC cards will also let you expand your roster besides the new color set. More color sets coming later this year.

Start with the new LOW color starter set... The CAC cards will also let you expand your roster. You won't get any better advise than these two suggestions... And if you don't want to wait long, use priority or express shipping...yep, not quite the speed of download, but 1 to 2 days for delivery is worth the extra expense. And since Todd at Fed HQ is prompt at getting stuff out, you shouldn't be waiting to long (but part of that is up to the postal service as well...which is why I recommend priority or express because they have specific handling rules for those services.)

Thanks for all the suggestions thus far. Is there any way to order besides the main site? Apparently it's currently down. Once it's back up, I'll send in an order for the color set and the Cauliflower Alley Club set.

I would PM "Tournament Master" on the board here, and see what he can do for you... FG are always very accommodating, and they will do whatever they can to take care of you. Also, you can e-mail him at: todd@filsingergames.com

A couple of questions and points:
1 - Are you more interested in the current indy wrestling scene or in the wrestlers of the past? LOW focuses on stars of yesteryear, while the independent packs are today's stars.
2 - If you're more interested in the stars of the past (i.e., the Legends of Wrestling), you should know there are hundreds available as black & white cards, with a limited number in color. Color is the wave of the future.
3 - Some indy and Legends packs are available as PDF's. You should also look into the Promoter Prime product, which has downloadable PDF's.
4 - If you're most interested in the color Legends/CAC cards, also look into the Limited Edition cards for Bobby Heenan, Lou Albano. Brutus Beefcake, Greg Valentine and Marty Jannetty. There are now 2 CAC sets, by the way.
This is a great game to play on your tabletop. Have fun!

However, if I had to select one to start my collection it would be legends. The appeal though is to intertwine today with performers of yesterday, so a combo with current day wrestlers is also something I eventually want to get to. 2.
