KrX 48: #fragileties

- Introduction -

Magnus the Magnanimous greets Thantos at the entrance and lets him know that he expects nothing less than a fair fight when he challenges Chaos for the KrX Advent title in the main event. Thantos shrugs, openly wondering if Chaos shares the same view as the Axis manager. "Why don't you tell Chaos to leave his fancy rock in the locker room. If he does, I will do more than pledge total allegiance to your group. I will recruit enough supporters that your power will never be in question."


Killer Queen defeated Manslaughter
to retain the KrX Horizon Championship
- Queen relies on hit and run tactics to keep his powerful challenger off balance. A single miscalculation almost costs him the bout. He recovers quickly and stuns Manslaughter with Royal Fork, his signature eye rake, long enough to score the pinfall. (Fatigue: Queen 2 - Manslaughter 3)


Massif and Wraith defeated Anivar and Pulsar
- Anivar and Pulsar attack their opponents before the opening bell, but Massif and Wraith display surprisingly fluid teamwork to gain control. Wraith nails Anivar with SUDDEN DEATH (+3), a bulldog from the top turnbuckle while completely invisible to claim the win. All attempts by Sleeper Cell to reach the ring are thwarted by the cooperative efforts of Bruiser Brody, Harley Race and Jay Lethal. (Fatigue: Anivar 2 - Massif 3)
- Perched on top of a balcony, Raven calls out to the 32 representatives. He challenges them to meet his flock on the upcoming supercard. "If you lose, you leave. It is that simple."

- Titan Talk -

Nitro interviews Endgame to question him on whether he still considers himself an impartial observer after clearly getting involved in the main event matchup between Disaster and Vengeance on the last show. If he had not prevented Mandrill from interfering in the bout, it is quite likely that Vengeance would have prevailed. Endgame's response is that he cannot condone the corrupt manner in which Magnus attempts to gain political control at the Crossroads or the flagrant means employed by his stable to ensure that its members come out on top. "As far as I know, Shayne still needs a fourth to join his team for their scheduled encounter with the Axis of Power. Consider this my offer to be that individual."


She Devil defeated Rob Van Dam
- Amazonia and Randy Savage attempt to accompany their respective allies, but Commissioner Euritar bans them from ringside.
- Both competitors are pushed to the limit in this rapid fire exchange. RVD accidentally bumps the ref while attempting a high risk move and when he attempts to revive him, She Devil steals the advantage with a low blow using the handle of her bullwhip. She Devil rocks RVD with a CANNONBALL CLOTHESLINE, a front flip into a clothesline, for a tainted pinfall.

Three separate Gladiator camps and each one trying to declare dominance at the Crossroads! Commissioner Euritar is going to establish a secure perimeter to guarantee there is no outside interference during these Triple Threat contests.

Rumors are circulating that Mesmer has been in secret talks with someone that will appear on this show. Who would dare step into the middle of an Aethran civil war?


Chaos defeated Thantos
to retain the KrX Advent Championship
- Despite the offer made by Thantos at the start of the show, Chaos brings the Alpha Stone as expected. Remaining true to his word, Magnus does not stand in the corner of either champion or challenger. Instead, he takes a seat next to Billy Jo Boxer and Nitro in the commentary booth. Even though he tries to appear impartial, he becomes noticeably anxious whenever Thantos has the advantage.
- After several shifts in momentum, Chaos latches onto Thantos with the BOW OF DEFEAT, a reverse bear hug. Thantos hangs on as long as possible, but Chaos is relentless with the hold. After numerous attempts to escape, Thantos finally passes out. A successful version two title defense for the champion. (Fatigue: Chaos 2 - Thantos 5)

KrX 48 was another solid show but the big news for me was Endgame offering his services to join Shayne's team against the Axis of Power. That would be incredible. I also liked the confrontation involving Bruiser Brody, Harley Race and Jay Lethal with the Sleeper Cell. Raven made a bold challenge to Brody and company which worries me as with AJ Styles already in danger of losing his spot at Crossroads we could also see more of the "32" being banished depending on the results.

As for the match results at 48, Chaos retaining the KrX Advent championship over Thantos was pretty intense especially with the presence of Magnus. She Devil over RVD, even with the aid of a low blow, was a shocker. "Mr. 420" seemed off his game there. Massif & Wraith are one impressive team, hoping to see more of them. Killer Queen is quite the character and I was pleased to see him retain the KrX Horizon title against Manslaughter. The Aethran civil war battles coming up at 49 are blowing my mind - can't wait!

Big wins by Queen and She Devil. All around fun as always. What else can I say? Looking forward to 50 of course.

Massif and Wraith vs Anivar and Pulsar was a good match, with some wild stuff going on. Raven lays down the guantlet. Can't wait to see who steps up.

Endgame and Shayne on the same team? That is going to be awesome.

She Devil doing what she needs to do to win. Understand that and approve. After being champion and holding her own in other matches, she does not have much to prove.

Gladiator vs Gladiator next card. And I feel Aethran Overmaster is only going to be another faction and not a help to this civil war. The possibilities ...

Main event was well worth the wait. Still feel that is not over yet.

With every card you keep building the hype. Love it and can't wait for 49 and 50.

The Aethran uncivil wars should be totally insane!

Loved seeing Endgame throw his silver hat in the ring and totally agree with Markoda, Endgame and Shayne on the same team is pretty intense.

If its not to late to nominate a Horizon title contender - how about Burning Man.

Killer Queen the Hardcore Harlequin retains. this version has probably become my favorite as I introduced him in 2132 and the return of the Greek Gods have made Sly's blood pressure soar in my original.
Massif & Wraith win but the bigger news is Raven and his flock puting it out there in a win or lose for the 32 crew. but what about Raven and his flock? will they leave if they lose?
Endgame is getting in the ring! the Axis are in trouble
She Devil scores the win. looked like a solid match until the ref went down. this is just heating up every time they meet and Savage & Amazonia spice it up more
what is becoming rare with the KrX title is a successful defense and not a changing of the guard. Chaos with a second defense keeps it out of the Gamesmasters hands but what will this mean for their match and unity.

In an all power match I think Paralyze will get the win over Brute & Overkill
hmm...Thunder has proven to be the better singles star in this grouping so I am picking him to win over Massacre & Rage.
ah the wild cards. Its a toss between Spike or Disaster as Mayhem is his own worst enemy...but I think that might help so Mayhem is going to get the win here.
tough choices...and is Mesmer going to bring in ANOTHER Aethran? I just shudder if they all unite because there is no force in KrX that could stop the united Aethran War Machine.
can't wait to find out what happens next. and wow, almost 50 shows. bet you never thought this would go beyond 12 or 24. "Life finds a way" as they say in Jurassic Park and KrX has taken on a life and popularity

Like everyone else I'm sure, the adrenaline really stays kicking in as a milestone is being approached... cruefan68, TTX, markoda, Bri and barflymike4ever - And even though episode 50 is the recognized supercard, episode 49 will probably be way more violent... There's nothing subtle about three Gladiator teams engaged in civil war...

Some big news for the supercard coming out of this show... Endgame joins Shayne's side to fight the Axis... At first, I was a little concerned that this might tip the balance a bit too far... But, then I rolled the match between Chaos and Thantos... With those two leading the team, Magnus has a formidable group indeed...

As far as Raven's challenge to the 32 goes - It seems odd that Mesmer would allow such a match to take place without putting some kind of incentive on the table for the benefit of Brody, Lethal and Race... Might have to wait and see...

Brute defeated Paralyze and Overkill
- An awesome display of pure physical strength! After nailing Paralyze with a running tackle, Overkill gets knocked through the ropes by Brute. Dragging Paralyze into position, Brute scores the pinfall after a diving leg drop from the top turnbuckle. (Fatigue: Brute 1 - Paralyze 4 - Overkill 2)


- TRIPLE THREAT -
Rage defeated Thunder and Massacre
- Thunder gets busted open when Massacre delivers a facebuster onto a metal guardrail. Before Massacre realizes it, Rage dives of the apron with a shotgun knee. Reacting quickly, Rage dumps Thunder back into the ring and pins him after a ground and pound. (Fatigue: Rage 3 - Thunder 6 - Massacre 2)


- TRIPLE THREAT -
Disaster defeated Mayhem and Spike
- For a brief moment, Disaster and Spike actually work together to punish Mayhem. Their alliance is short lived, coming to an end when Disaster executes consecutive Decapitator clotheslines on both of his opponents. Before Spike can make it back to his feet, Disaster drives Mayhem to the mat with RAMPAGE, a face first chokeslam, and gets a three count. (Fatigue: Disaster 2 - Mayhem 4 - Spike 2)

- The Overmaster Arrives -

For the first time, Mesmer admits that he actually sought out a specific individual in order to convince him to come to the Crossroads. The imposing figure of Aethran Overmaster steps onto the runway, flanked by Rush and Turmoil. As an incentive, Mesmer promised Overmaster a specific opportunity. To prove they are the dominant force, his team will participate in an Aethran Ultimate Escape match on this show. The opposing team are the Gladiators who won each of the previous contests - Brute, Rage and Disaster!


- AETHRAN ULTIMATE ESCAPE -
Aethran Overmaster, Rush and Turmoil defeated Disaster, Brute and Rage
- A grueling affair that leaves both teams utterly exhausted. At the conclusion, Aethran Overmaster gathers his composure and demands that all Gladiators swear loyalty to him! (Fatigue: Overmaster 5, Rush 3, Turmoil 3 - Brute 4, Disaster 7, Rage 3)

Order of escape:
- Rage escapes against Rush after incapacitating him with ALL THE RAGE, a triangle choke.
- Turmoil escapes against Disaster after driving him into the cage an Aethran Coup Cannon.
- Disaster escapes against Overmaster after planting him with RAMPAGE, a face first chokeslam.
- Rush escapes against Brute after a Sky Bomb Stunner.
- Aethran Overmaster escapes against Brute after a devastating series of Ballistic Head Butts.

KrX 50: #strivetosurvive promises to be the boldest extravaganza since the inception of the Crossroads. Here is the lineup:

In the main event, Magnus sends his Axis of Power, consisting of Chaos, Thantos, Mandrill and Vengeance into a four-on-four Survivor Match against the team of Shayne, Tauran, Avarice and Endgame.

AJ Styles meets The Amazing Mann in a Submission Only contest. If Styles loses the match, he has agreed to leave the Crossroads voluntarily.

Twin Blood receive another shot at the Mercenaries and the KrX Binary Championship. During their last encounter, Twin Blood were awarded a technical decision over the champions.

Three of the last remaining representatives of the 32 face off against Anivar, Pulsar and Raven in trios action. Bruiser Brody, Harley Race and Jay Lethal are no strangers to high stakes and this could be the highest of them all, as Raven challenged them to put their place at the Crossroads on the line. Will Mesmer uphold this impromptu stipulation?

Amazonia and She Devil once again throw down in the first ever Bullwhip Challenge. The object of the contest is simple. Retrieve a bullwhip that is suspended high above the ring and use it to strike the opponent.

Blade and Quasar engage in a Kronos Death rematch against the leader of The Cure, Dark Justice, and his latest recruit, Tanck.

The KrX Horizon champion, Killer Queen, defends the title against a newcomer that is shrouded in mystique and goes by the name of Sinful.

Wanting to ensure that the Crossroads remains a place of prestige, Mesmer chooses to thin the roster. Manslaughter takes on Wraith with the loser being exiled.

Battering Ram and Minotaur lock horns in what is sure to be a battle of raw charging power.

With Proteus currently on the sidelines, Actagon is being given the chance to shine in singles competition. His first opponent will be the only Aethran scheduled to appear on this show, Thrash.
