Wow @ that RVD match. Seemed really quick. How long did it last 10-12 rolls?

Once again thank you for the feedback everyone. TTX , Savage v. Firpo would be an intense match up for sure. jobber83 the match was really short. In fact, several of the first round bouts this year have been squashes that have lasted under ten rolls. βMacho Manβ Randy Savage (2) v. Blue Meanie (31) The fans are chanting for Meanie. Meanie misses a clothesline and Savage nails Meanie with a knee to the back. Savage with a rope straddle and back elbow. Neckbreaker clothesline and Meanie bails to the floor. Savage is out after Meanie who reverses an Irish whip and Savage goes hard into the post. Savage is busted open! DDT for a one count (R11/P1). MEANIESAULT for a huge near fall (R5/P2). Meanie off the top with a pair of deathjump smashes followed by another MEANIESAULT for a two count (R7/P3). Short-arm clothesline drops Savage but kick to knee misses. Savage sends Meanie to the ropes and on the rebound Meanie counters a backdrop with a piledriver. Short-arm clothesline sets up a pair of body slams. Meanie hooks the leg and Morgan counts to two (R8/P4). Savage gets tossed to the floor. Meanie is out after him but Savage bounces Meanie face off the ring side table. Meanie is tossed back to the floor and Savage piledrives him onto the concrete. Ringside is livid. Meanie can barely regain the ring (R6/P4). Flying axe handle to the floor. Back to back neckrbreaker clotheslines downs Meanie followed by a back elbow, rope straddle and elbow to the head. Neckbreaker clothesline and Savage mounts the corner but Meanie knocks the ropes and Savage crashes to the mat. Ringside explodes for the Peopleβs Leg Drop. Back to back body slams set up another MEANIESAULT but Savage gets his shoulder up at the last second (R7/P5). DDT connects but kick to the knee misses. Rope straddle misses. Hip toss from the Meanie. Savage goes into the ropes and counters a clothesline with one of his own. Both men are down and the fans are on their feet. Savage sends Meanie to the floor so he can recover. Back in the ring Savage connects with a deathjump smash. They brawl on the floor and then back in the ring Savage hits the FLYING ELBOW SMASH for the win (R7/P9). Up next . . . The Destroyer (15) v. Larry Hennig (18)

Hmmm Meanie hung tough, but in the end, Macho advances. Cool. Have to go with Destroyer, but that should be a hard hitting match.

Oh, snap... Never imagined that the Meanie would put up such a wicked fight... Lots of close calls, but the Macho Man pulls through...
Gotta go with The Destroyer over The Axe... Can't wait!

The Destroyer (15) v. Larry Hennig (18)
Destroyerβs attempt at a body slam does not work and Hennig clocks him with a running lariat that spills Destroyer to the floor. Hennig comes outside but Destroyer smashes him face first off the ringside table. Hennig is stunned and Destroyer attempts to finish him with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK but Hennig powers out (R11/P5). Destroyer goes back to the hold again but Hennig turns Destroyer over breaking the hold (R8/P6). Destroyer moves to a bow and arrow and then lands handstand kneedrops. Hennig needs a breather on the floor. Destroyer pursues and Hennig rams him into the ring post shoulder first. Hennig drops an elbow for his first near fall of the encounter (R10/P2). Chops and double forearm hammers weaken Destroyer and Hennig hooks the leg for two (R6/P3). Hennig slows thing down with a lengthy bear hug and follows with more double forearm hammers. Body slam in the middle of the ring and Hennig hooks the leg for two (R9/P4). Forearm, shoves and punches from Hennig. Repeated chops and ringside loves it. Destroyer is able to down Hennig with a snap mare and arm lock before transitioning to handstand knee drops. Hennig bails and then regains the ring. Destroyer maintains control hitting Bombs Away and then trapping Hennig in another FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Hennig draws on the cheers from ringside and makes the ropes (R9/P8) keeping alive. Destroyer drags him back to the middle of the ring and applies the hold again. This time Hennig has no answer and Destroyer advances to the next round with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK submission (R8/P9).
Next up . . . . Road Warrior Hawk (10) v. Brutus Beefcake (23)

Solid back and forth encounter between The Axe and The Destroyer, as expected... Can't help myself - Have to pick Beefcake with the upset over Road Warrior Hawk... Maybe a technical decision in this one... Entertaining!
