The BROKEN Invitational is dedicated to SWARM and everyone else who put their time & effort into bringing these fantastic cards to my fellow promoters and myself...THANK YOU!
My vision for this "side project" was that of a once in a lifetime tournament, featuring some of the top tag teams in independent wrestling, to be held at The Hardy Compound in Cameron, North Carolina. 16 teams would "DELETE" one another until only one remained. That team would then go on to face BROKEN Matt & Brother Nero in a tag team APOCALYPTO match. While the tournament may not have played out as I envisioned in my head (thanks to those oh-so unpredictable dice), it was nonetheless a lot of fun to play (my first game "action" in about a year[!] according to my calculations, so using a lot of these cards for the FIRST time) and I've tried to make the results as interesting as possible for my fellow promoters to read. Never ceases to amaze me how even the best laid plans can get wiped away by a simple roll of the bones, but at the same time, another facet that helps make this game so amazing!
First Round results, with my comments:
***DECAY vs. WAR MACHINE***
Abyss & Crazzy Steve w/Rosemary defeated Hanson & Raymond Rowe via count-out when Hanson was unable to continue after being choke slammed through a ringside table by Abyss
NOBODY ever wants to open up with a count-out, am I right? Not exactly off to a great start here...
***BRISCOES vs. TEAM TREMENDOUS***
Jay & Mark Briscoe defeated "Detectives" Dan Barry & Bill Carr when Jay pinned Barry following a JAY DRILLER
Used the Briscoes' updated "singles" cards for this tourney and definitely saw a difference from the "tag" versions I'm so used to...
***DA HIT SQUAD vs. PRETTY BOY KILLERS***
BOTH teams were counted-out as Dan Maff & Monsta Mack engaged in a wild brawl outside the ring with Keith Lee & Shane Taylor
Great! First time using any of these cards & now I'm left with an uneven number of teams! But sometimes, desperation leads to inspiration...

Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly defeated Conor Claxton & Danny Havoc when Fish pinned Claxton following a super falcon arrow
Used the Danny Havoc Promoter Prime card; the hardcore style of NOI was no match for the wrestling skills of REDRAGON, who dominated this match...
***NIGHTMARE WARRIORS vs. CATCH POINT***
Frightmare & Hallowicked defeated Tracy Williams & Fred Yehi when Frightmare pinned Yehi following KNEECOLEPSY
Used the Frightmare & Hallowicked Promoter Prime cards and WOW! Definitely stronger than the originals...
***RENO SCUM vs. E.Y.F.B.O.***
Luster the Legend & Adam Thornstowe defeated Mike Draztik & Angel Ortiz when Thornstowe pinned Draztik following Biggest Little Beatdown
First time that either of these teams were used; think I'm liking Reno Scum...

Blk Jeez & Pepper Parks w/Cherry Bomb defeated Beretta & Rocky Romero when Parks pinned Beretta following PEPPER SHAKER NECK BREAKER in a match that saw interference from Cherry
