WrestleCircus should be fun if that comes to be. My one major regret of G-Con weekend was not being able to spend more time talking to Vegas. Hopefully next year with more relaxed time we can have some downtime for people to catch up during the con itself. yeah, Troy unfortunately I did not get to talk to you or Jim Steel much this past weekend- but I think that was because you were busy running the tournaments and Jim was busy providing all the cards for all the tournaments- you both did a good job IMO.

Thx, Vegas, we'll see if we can work something out next year to get some more time to catch up. Oh and 25 would be about right.

G-Con 2017 WAS A GREAT TIME (I took a few pictures which are up on Facebook and have been tweeted and retweeted a few times...go check them out) My wife Lori made her return to Jamestown after 23 years...she was with me for the first trip in 1994, but since then has let me enjoy the trips with the kids...and well since the kids are out of the house now, she got to come with me again. We will see if I can get her to make it two in a row next year! Got in a little later Friday night because I was out seeing one of my Squadron's Flights in the Youngstown, OH area...my guys are great and got a kick out of me heading to Jamestown for GalactiCon. After checking into the room and settling the cat in for the evening (Yes, our cat attended GalactiCon; he has attended just as many times as my daughter!!!); it was off to Brazil to see who we could and Get my hands on 2133! Walking in we saw Louden and Leslie Filsinger and caught up on about 10 years worth of moves for all of us and family happenings before going into the back and seeing the GCon attendees who were still there...and there were a few! Thank Goodness Todd was one of them and he handed me my copy of 2133...I glanced at the cover and thought, is that who I think it is, and IT WAS! Todd also showed me one other card and I was like GET OUT OF HERE! 2133 was a must read for the evening once we got back to the room. After chatting for a few hours we headed back to the room and I was knee deep in 2133 (after taking care of some stuff for work...yep still had to work, but once it was done Friday night, I was all GCon ALL day Saturday and Sunday!) Saturday was chalk-full of Tournaments, catching up with friends, and more tournaments! I had Shayne in the 2133 Perennial and got to round three before I ran into Diane and Monolith. I had a blast in the 80WM tournament, going 0-2 with Tennis Pro and Caesar Sleeze in first round matches before getting a win with Bug Blaster (UPSET) but then went out in the second round. Frist round losses were a theme in the Indy (with Trent Baretta) , Legends (with Bob Brazil), and GWF All Time tournament (with Colossus)...but I got a second pick in the GWF All Time and won a frist round match with Pegasus (over Star Warrior) but went down in the second round (to Alpha Force)...just couldn't get passed both of Omega's kids. In the Canada Cup I got Perfect Specimen, as I said in my other post, THIS GUY IS GREAT! Unfortunately, my only loss in the round robin was to Chaos Supreme (rolled by Jaron, Smoke's son) who went undefeated in our bracket. And at that I was done for the day, but it was a ton of fun. I got to spend about 15 minutes talking with Bennett Cole, a great guy...hope to get a chance to see him if things go good for him to get some shows down here in Pittsburgh. In the auction I was able to expand my "original COTG art" collection picking up the Hannibal King inks of Kill Prey and Bounty Hunter (both on the same page). Hannibal had them labelled as "New Bounty Hunter" and "Old Bounty Hunter" and Tom subsequently relabeled them as "Kill Prey" and "Bounty Hunter". Love the auction and getting a chance to get some rare COTG memorabilia. Finished Saturday off watching Butcher bring home the GalactiCup in an couple of awesome matches. Some day I am gonna get a shot at winning that cup...someday! Sunday meant checking out, but it also meant Brunch at Friendly's, well desert time for the wife, I mean come on it is Friendly's (there are pictures of the sundae on Facebook). Louden and TM put together the "First Lucille Ball Women's tournament". I got one last chance to roll the dice but SuperNova was not up to the challenge and I went down in the first round again! But hey, why ruin a great loss/win record with a win! I was proud of those hard earned losses! So after a chatting for a bit more, it was back on the road to head home (my shortest ever trip home from GalactiCon!). MAN WHAT A WEEKEND! LOVED IT! and ALREADY LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR! ----- Pretty sure I got a picture with everyone in attendance, except MHardcore (he is in the background of one, but he escaped before I could get a shot with him.) Go look at Facebook (profile is Pete Beck)...some great pictures; even on of Tom with his "Driver's License face" (You gotta ask him to tell you the story...would expect nothing less from the Dark Menace ). Getting a chance to catch up with long time friends as well as spending some time to get to know some newer ones a better...that is what G-Con is all about. If you have never been, start saving now...YOU GOTTA COME NEXT YEAR! (If for nothing else than to get a shot to beat me in the first round of a tournament!)
