WRESTLING GONE VIRAL 1.2 from the Mohegan Sun Arena (Part 1 of 3)
WGV World Title Tournament Opener: Drew Gulak vs. Homicide Homicide defeats Drew Gulak via pinfall. Sending a message to the opposition, Homicide dominates Gulak and puts him away with DA GRINGO KILLER, a back-to-back double underhook piledriver. (Tokens: Gulak 1)
WGV World Title Tournament Opener: Joey Ryan vs. Tim Donst Tim Donst defeats Joey Ryan via pinfall. With a fine athletic display, Donst keeps Ryan completely off balance and hits the SDT, a front facelock STO, for the win. (Tokens: Ryan 1)
WGV World Title Tournament Opener: Brodie Lee vs. Claudio Castagnoli Claudio Castagnoli defeats Brodie Lee via disqualification. Claudio frustrates his opponent with astounding feats of strength, even planting Lee with a giant swing for a near fall. Lee takes the fight outside the ring and delivers a blatant chairshot. (Tokens: Lee 1)
WGV World Title Tournament Opener: Kevin Steen vs. Rhino Kevin Steen defeats Rhino via disqualification. Rhino endures lots of punishment, including a powerbomb onto the apron followed by a high angle senton bomb that leads to a near fall. As Rhino starts mounting a comeback, Steen rolls out of the ring to catch his breath. Rhino attempts a running tackle into the rails, but a slick move by Steen causes him to collide with the ref. (Tokens: Steen 1 - Rhino 6)
WGV World Title Tournament Opener: Jay Lethal vs. Sami Callihan Jay Lethal defeats Sami Callihan via pinfall (snake eyes). Once again, Lethal seems to reap the benefit of a fast count, pinning Callihan following a dragon suplex. (Tokens: n/a)
Callihan slowly gets to his feet and criticizes Lethal who pretends to leave the ring. When Callihan turns to face the ref, Lethal attacks him from behind! Calling himself the 'Greatest of All-Time' he continues his assault until security arrives. (Callihan injured for 1 card.)
WGV World Title Tournament Opener: Michael Elgin w/ Truth Martini vs. Willie Mack Willie Mack defeats Michael Elgin via disqualification. A ferocious exchange with both men executing superb feats of strength. Elgin gets busted open after his face gets rammed into a ring post. Mack delivers a CHOCOLATE THUNDER BOMB, a scoop sitout powerbomb, but Martini pulls the ref out of the ring! Although it prevents a pinfall, it costs Elgin the match nonetheless. (Tokens: Mack 2 - Elgin 4)
Angry over the loss, Elgin has words with his manager on their way to the back. Martini seems to appease his client with the promise of getting him a title shot as soon as possible.
Coming up... World Title Tournament Quarterfinals!
Adam Pearce vs. Bryan Danielson
Homicide vs. Tim Donst
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Kevin Steen
Jay Lethal vs. Willie Mack

Truth better be careful or he might have an angry Elgin after him. And we all know the only thing worse than an angry Elgin... Would be an angry 'Special Champion Edition' Michael Elgin.

WRESTLING GONE VIRAL 1.2 from the Mohegan Sun Arena (Part 2 of 3)
WGV World Title Tournament Quarterfinal: Adam Pearce vs. Bryan Danielson Bryan Danielson defeats Adam Pearce via submission. Danielson shocks his opponent by coming in hot with a flurry of rapid fire kicks and MMA strikes. He smoothly transitions from one hold to another and forces Pearce to tap out to a TRIANGLE CHOKE. (Tokens: Pearce 2)
WGV World Title Tournament Quarterfinal: Homicide vs. Tim Donst Tim Donst defeats Homicide via disqualification (snake eyes). Resorting to underhanded methods, Homicide tears into his opponent. He tries to use a concealed weapon, but the ref is on the lookout for such tactics and catches him in the act. (Tokens: Donst 2)
Tossing the ref out of the ring, Homicide attacks Donst without mercy. He delivers DA GRINGO KILLER, a back-to-back double underhook piledriver, onto a steel chair! Bryan Danielson charges to the ring to stop the assault, but Donst needs to be taken away on a stretcher. (Donst injured for 5 cards.)
Commissioner Marquez realizes that Donst will be unable to continue. Instead of granting Danielson an automatic bye into the tournament final, he vows to find a suitable replacement by having an immediate qualifying contest between two competitors waiting in the backstage area. Two men that are known together as the American Wolves - Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards!
WGV World Title Tournament Replacement Qualifier: Davey Richards vs. Eddie Edwards While the introductions are taking place, Homicide strikes again! He attacks Richards and strangles him with an electrical cord until Edwards is able to break it up. Security drags Homicide away and Commissioner Marquez announces that he will be suspended indefinitely. Richards is slow to respond, but medical staff clear him to compete (+2 PIN tokens).
Eddie Edwards defeats Davey Richards via official's discretion. Despite a valiant effort, Richards falters at a critical moment. Edwards counters an ANKLE LOCK with a Dragon Sleeper and the ref stops the match, concerned that Richards might be seriously harmed if he tries to continue. (Tokens: Richards 3)
WGV World Title Tournament Quarterfinal: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Kevin Steen Kevin Steen defeats Claudio Castagnoli via pinfall. Capitalizing on a single mistake by his opponent, Steen takes control and never looks back. He hammers Castagnoli with an F-CINQ, a fireman's carry facebuster, to advance to the next round. (Tokens: Castagnoli 1)
WGV World Title Tournament Quarterfinal: Jay Lethal vs. Willie Mack Leading into the match, Scorpio Sky cuts a promo stating that it's ridiculous that Mack is allowed to participate in this tournament while the WGV Network champion himself is not included. Joey Ryan stands by, offering Sky his full support.
Willie Mack defeats Jay Lethal via disqualification. Even interference by Ryan and Sky is not enough to halt Mack's offensive onslaught. In a desperation move, Lethal uses the ref as a human shield! Although it helps him escape, it also results in his elimination from the tournament. (Tokens: Lethal 5)
Up next... The conclusion! World Title Tournament Semfinals
Bryan Danielson vs. Eddie Edwards
Kevin Steen vs. Willie Mack
And the FINALE!
Danielson/Edwards vs. Steen/Mack to decide the first WGV World Champion

Enjoying the work with Homicide and the shows as usual are great stuff if a little dq prone but if it leads to great angles, all the better.

Enjoying the work with Homicide and the shows as usual are great stuff if a little dq prone but if it leads to great angles, all the better. Not exactly sure how long Homicide's suspension will last... But, something tells me the Notorious 187 won't be patient enough to wait and find out... Always appreciate the great feedback, my friend... Many thanks!

Way to kick it off Homicide! Donst gets around the walk S-T-D and advances. against Homicide. the Swiss Superman with a technical win over the big rig. Steen with a DQ over Rhino. poor timing on the Man-Beasts part Lethal over Uncle John's Friend. tough break for the New Horror The Mack with the win over Elgin! granted DQ but still. upset city. first night with several technicals and the quarterfinals.. Danielson you can't deny the man's in ring skills make Pearce tap to kick off the Quarterfinals and Donst with a DQ eliminates Homicide...only for Donst to take an ambulance ride. and the substitute might be the one to win....... Eddie Edwards defeats Richards to get into the tournament. despite Homicide doing a drive-by Steen pins Castagnoli after comanding take over. Sky...and Ryan this could be a bad combination and the Mack with a DQ over Lethal because two jeaous idiots and Lethal using the ref. man so weird DQ's in the first two rounds. Semifinal Picks... Danielson as Edwards is not in top form thanks to Homicide who continues to make himself know to everyone with a friendly attack in greeting. Kevin Steen over teh Mack. unless there's a run in and someone costs Wrestling's Worst Nightmare I see Steen in hte finals winning the belt.

Getting ready to post the final installment now, barflymike4ever... You're picks weren't perfect, but you hit the mark where it counts... Homicide is making no friends... That suspension could be the only thing keeping him safe from a hostile mob at the moment... Always appreciate the excellent feedback, my friend... Many thanks!

WRESTLING GONE VIRAL 1.2 from the Mohegan Sun Arena (Part 3 of 3)
WGV World Title Tournament Semifinal: Bryan Danielson vs. Eddie Edwards Eddie Edwards defeats Bryan Danielson via submission. The momentum shifts several times in this seesaw battle of raw intensity. Danielson mistimes a high risk move and Edwards jumps onto the offensive. Edwards moves forward into the tournament final by forcing Danielson to tap out to an Achilles lock. (Tokens: Edwards 5 - Danielson 3)
WGV World Title Tournament Semifinal: Kevin Steen vs. Willie Mack Kevin Steen defeats Willie Mack via pinfall. Steen appears sluggish and unable to keep up with his opponent until Mack whips him into the rails and busts him open. Something inside just snaps! Cranking up the aggression, Steen drops Mack with an F-CINQ, a fireman's carry facebuster, to secure his spot in the tournament final. (Tokens: Steen 5 - Mack 3)
WGV World Title Tournament Final: Eddie Edwards vs. Kevin Steen Kevin Steen defeats Eddie Edwards via pinfall to win the vacant WGV World Championship. Steen gets into trouble, promoting Jimmy Jacobs to sneak towards ringside. To balance the scales, Davey Richards follows. When Richards confronts Jacobs, he gets struck from behind by Steve Corino! Distracted by the sight of his friend being double teamed, Edwards grants Steen a valuable opening. Steen delivers a PACKAGE PILEDRIVER and becomes the champion! (Tokens: Steen 3 - Edwards 2)
Holding the belt above his head, Steen stands between his two allies. "No one believed I could make it to the top! To hell with everyone because I'm here now! We're S.C.U.M. and we're taking over!"
