I do like my Mondo so hopefully
Nick Gage squashed Matt Cardona with the Chokebreaker. Matt did use the objects for a bit but eventually Nick took control and brainbustered Cardona on a door before toying with him a bit and then hitting two Chokebreakers to take it.
In a bloody brawl, Necro Butcher finished off John Wayne Murdoch with Choose Death. Butcher dominated early but Murdoch would not stay down and made a comeback. In the end, Butcher reversed Murdoch into a door and then hit Choose Death to win.
Alex Colon beat Matt Tremont into unconsciousness (11 tokens) before putting him away with Code Red. This was a brawl to end all brawls but while Tremont had his chances, in the end Colon was simply too much.
Jeff Cannonball put away Rickey Shane Page with Greetings from Newbridge. Page got off one Chokebreaker but Cannonball had control most of the match and put him away after his finisher.
Mad Man Pondo squashed Jimmy Lloyd finishing him off with a Cinder Block Smash. Lloyd got one Assault Driver but otherwise it was all Pondo who put his stop sign to good use before using the Cinder Block to finish things off.
G-Raver bested Delirious in a quick match after jabbing him with tattoo needles. Delirious got an early advantage but G-Raver turned it around with a slam into a door and from there he battered down Delirious before stabbing and covering him for the three count.
In another quick squash, Jay Briscoe finished off Orin Veidt after a pair of Jay Drillers. Briscoe reversed Veidt and smashed him with his belt before hitting two Jay Drillers and scoring an easy win.
In a nice little brawl, Sick Nick Mondo put away Justice Pain after a Mondo Sledge. Both men had their chances here and this had the fewest deathmatch moves but they really tore into each other and both could have taken it but a late reversal by Mondo gave him momentum and the Sledge got the victory.

Nice work, Zeke. Only Cannonball decided to pull the upset.

Looks like some hard hitting action.. Very cool that Colon and Mondo advanced (both got knocked out in the opening round of my tournament)... G-Raver, Necro Butcher and Nick f'n Gage are proven commodities in the deathmatch field... And I'm just now realizing that you included Jay Briscoe - somehow that didn't register when I initially read the lineup... Gonna be a tough quarterfinal match for Sick Nick... Yikes!

Yeah Jay edged out Danny Havoc...I wanted to use someone different that still fit and Jay came to mind immediately.

In a bloody war, Necro Butcher edged Nick Gage with Choose Death. This was a super intense battle and both poured buckets of blood. It went wild and both had several near falls but in the end, Butcher managed to hit Choose Death and it proved just a bit too much as Gage kicked out one moment too late.
Alex Colon forced Jeff Cannonball to submit to the Camel Clutch. Cannonball got in a few good shots but Colon was never in real danger before clamping on his Camel Clutch for the submission.
G-Raver came back to finish off Mad Man Pondo with the Top Rope Meteora. It looked early on this was going to be a Pondo squash. He dominated with his various weapon shots but he simply could not keep G-Raver down. G-Raver came back with a series of weapon and object smashes before hitting his finisher to take the three.
Sick Nick Mondo knocked off Jay Briscoe with the Life Cutter. It looked like Jay was going to do the same to Mondo as he did to Veidt but Mondo just would not stay down. It looked like an Assault Driver would finish things off but Briscoe kicked out and then went wild. It ended however with Mondo stapling Jay to a door before dropping him with a slingshot leg drop before using the Life Cutter to win.
In non tournament matches Shawn Daivari bested Effy via countout after Lenny Lane hit a piledriver on Effy on the floor while Daivari distracted the referee. This went back and forth but Lane and Daivari plotted out something and when Effy tried an attack on the floor, he missed a dive and Daivari rolled into the ring and distracted the referee allowing Lane to knock Effy out allowing Daivari to take a cheap victory.
After the match, Mance Warner came down and battered Daivari. He then challenged Lane immediately.
Mance Warner crushed Lenny Lane with the Lariat. This went a while but it was almost entirely with Warner dominating. Lane escaped several pin attempts but a second Lariat proved too much.

Necro Butcher and G-Raver are doing awesome throughout the deathmatch scene... And I'm stoked that Mondo was able to take out Briscoe... SICK!

I'm cheering for Mondo but G-Raver will make it tough and Necro might be too tough for anyone (crazy match, I think there was 16 tokens before one stayed down for the pin)
