WAGES of WAR (2127.15)
Part 3 of 3
*** SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ***
Next cycle concludes with REACH for the SKY, featuring a five man Ladder War for a chance to win the coveted Sky Token. According to Commissioner Euritar, this unique prize essentially allows its holder to 'steal' a shot at the Galaxian Heavyweight title away from another challenger. The only condition is the holder must declare his intention to replace the scheduled challenger before the opening bell of the title match in question.
The event will also play host to the Charm Standard Series. A field of eight female competitors will be narrowed down to four during the upcoming Showtime episodes. The four that make it past the qualifying round will engage in a round robin series. Commissioner Euritar hopes this will become a traditional showcase for the female talent in the company.
Survivor Style Insterstellar Open Title Match: Coven Black vs. Payback vs. Prime Colonizer vs. Havoc
Havoc defeats Coven Black, Payback and Prime Colonizer by emerging as the sole survivor. (Tokens: Havoc 6 - Payback 7 - Black 3 - Colonizer 1)
- Realizing that only one of them can ultimately claim victory, Black and Havoc make no attempt to work together. Payback pulls out all the stops, thrilling the crowd and ramping up the intensity. The final two combatants give a memorable performance as the Aethran outcast pushes the boundaries of his endurance to outlast the wild Titan.
Order of elimination:
1. Prime Colonizer eliminated by Havoc via pinfall with COSMIC NIGHTMARE, a running skull punt.
2. Coven Black eliminated by Payback via pinfall with EXVENGE (+6), a springboard moonsault.
3. Payback eliminated by Havoc via pinfall with Black Death Cometh, an underhook piledriver.
Havoc wins the Interstellar Open Championship
Titan Death Match: Monolith vs. Harbinger
Monolith defeats Harbinger via pinfall with CATASTROPHE, a diving shooting star press from the top tunbuckle. (Tokens: Monolith 1 - Harbinger 6)
- Harbinger displays unbelievable resiliency, kicking out after CATASTROPHE and fighting his way out of I BREAK YOU twice! Interference by Oracle briefly alters the course of the match, but Monolith is relentless. Unable to build any lasting momentum, Harbinger suffers a major setback while Monolith secures his place at the top of the rankings.
- Several members of Black Death attempt a sneak attack on Monolith after the bell. Endgame arrives and working together, the two men repel the assault. The effort takes a lot out of Endgame, leading some to wonder about his condition as he prepares to defend his title in the next bout.
* Promoter's Note: Black Death abilities are unaffected.
Galaxian Heavyweight Title Match: Endgame* vs. Chaos Supreme
Chaos Supreme defeats Endgame via pinfall with Run of the Bull, a horizontal running slam into the turnbuckles. (Tokens: Endgame 8)
- Realizing the champion is not in the best of shape after helping Monolith fend off a Black Death assault, Chaos leaves nothing to chance and uses his strength advantage to dominate the action. Endgame refuses to surrender, even when Chaos clamps on BOW OF DEFEAT and maintains the hold for an extended period of time (rolled 6 times in a row). As the champion collapses from exhaustion, Chaos regains the belt.
Chaos Supreme wins the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship - begins second title reign.
