SWX Pure #22
Ultimate Fighters (Clinch & Shoot) vs. Blue Steel (Hustler & Mack Calibur) Ultimate Fighters defeated Blue Steel. (Tokens: Clinch 1, Shoot 1 - Calibur 1) - Calibur delivers some high impact offense early in the contest, but some exceptional teamwork by TUF turns the tide. Clinch counters a high risk move by Hustler and nails him with KNOCKED OUT (+3), a flying kick to the head and uppercut punch combination, for an exciting win.
- After the match, Vin Strutter approaches the ring to inform Clinch and Shoot that his Greatest Show runs this promotion. His distraction allows Comedy and Tragedy to attack TUF from behind! Security arrives before anyone is seriously injured.
SWX Holonet Title Match: Steele Freak* w/ Vin Strutter vs. Neuromancer Neuromancer defeated Steele Freak. (Tokens: n/a) - Before the match begins, Clinch and Shoot return to chase Strutter away from ringside. Without any guidance, Freak offers no resistance whatsoever and Neuromancer claims victory in near record time, scoring the pinfall with TECHNO SYNDROME, a twisting hurricanrana.
Neuromancer won the SWX Holonet Championship. (2)
Triple Threat: Kenji vs. Comedy vs. Ensor Ensor defeated Kenji and Comedy. (Tokens: Ensor 6 - Comedy 4 - Kenji 1) - With flawless precision, Kenji cuts through both opponents, but is unable to force one into submission before the other breaks up the hold. Kenji mistimes a slingshot maneuver and gets wrapped up in the ropes, buying Ensor enough time to pin Comedy with FLIGHTS OF RAGE, a series of rapid fire shin kicks with opponent trapped in the corner.
Star Warrior and Nova vs. Phantasy and Thantos Phantasy and Thantos defeated Star Warrior and Nova. (Tokens: Warrior 2) - Star Warrior struggles to find an opening against his former partner while making no attempt to tag Nova into the match. Phantasy lands some high impact strikes before Thantos drops Star Warrior a LEGEND LARIAT.
- In the backstage area, Nova continues to question Warrior about his obsession with Phantasy. Turning away, Warrior stops at the nearest concessions booth and grabs several alcoholic beverages.
Triple Threat: Giant Azuma vs. Tragedy vs. Zygon Zygon defeated Giant Azuma and Tragedy. (Tokens: Zygon 3 - Tragedy 4 - Azuma 1) - Azuma experiences a similar setback to that experienced by Kenji earlier. Although he controls the majority of the action, he fails to put either down for a three count. Zygon outsmarts the opposition and forces Tragedy to tap out with TRI-DEATH (+2), a head clawhold.
- Based on their individual performances, Mother Superior thinks that Virus have earned themselves an opportunity to challenge Shogun Titans for the SWX Pure Tag Team Championship.
Exodus vs. Murdok w/ Witchdoctor Exodus defeated Murdok. (Tokens: Exodus 2 - Murdok 3) - Murdok unleashes a powerful assault, but Exodus defends himself with confidence. Mounting a thrilling comeback, Exodus comes at Murdok from every conceivable angle and scores the pinfall with a top rope leg drop. Witchdoctor tries to intervene, but gets mowed down by Paganax!
- After the match, Murdok punishes Witchdoctor by grabbing his his wooden staff and smashing it across his head! With a wild expression, Witchdoctor reminds Murdok that certain energies must be permitted to flow in order to maintain their current situation.
SWX Pure Heavyweight Title Match: Monolith* w/ The Dark Menace vs. Harbinger Monolith defeated Harbinger. (Tokens: Harbinger 2) - Eager to intimidate, Monolith pushes the patience of the official to its limit by punishing Harbinger out on the floor. Only a well timed distraction by the Menace prevents the champion from being disqualified. Monolith moves the action back into the ring and forces Harbinger to tap out with I BREAK YOU, an over the shoulder backbreaker rack.
Monolith retained the SWX Pure Heavyweight Championship for a successful version nine title defense.

Monolith is just beastly. Big win by Exodus.

Monolith is just beastly. Big win by Exodus. Monolith continues to pound his way through the opposition like they're not even there... Easily the most dominant title run of either fed's combined history so far... That victory for Exodus was somewhat unexpected... My plans for Murdok are kinda hitting a wall... It's difficult to justify a program between him and Monolith based on his performance... This might become one of those angles that get killed in the crib (thanks to the dice)... Always appreciate the continued interest, my friend... Many thanks!

Always enjoy seeing a few predictions heading into each show, Crossbones, Dustin and @kevinb... Swarm has a daunting task ahead of him, but if anyone can bring down that behemoth, it's the Yellow n' Black Attack... As for Tauran, it's the 2129 version... Something tells me this might be his final year appearing on the Cosmic Network (at least as a full-time wrestler)... However, a lot depends on the direction going forward... The upcoming CWF set really has me thinking about possible adjustments to the current fed structure... And of course, the rosters could see some major changes as well... An exciting time for COTG... Truth!
