Always enjoy the preshow predictions, @kevinb and Dustin... Personally, I'm really excited for the main event... Fortress (Pendragon, Darkest Justice and Star Slayer) are a fun group while Raven is simply one of my all-time faves... Can they cut through the Gladiators on their way to Best in the Universe? Bishop Hell defeated Lance At-Las. (Tokens: At-Las 1)
- Bishop wastes no time, pouncing on At-Las before the opening bell. Meeting virtually no resistance, Bishop scores the pinfall with a BURNING CROSSBODY. Raising his newly won title, Bishop baptizes the belt in fire while vowing to burn away the opposition.
Bishop Hell won the Cosmic TrueVision Championship.
Coven Black w/ Mistress vs. Crossfire
Coven Black defeated Crossfire via disqualification. (Tokens: Black 2 - Crossfire 3)
- Determined to find out Scorn's whereabouts, HelSin interrupts this rapid fire exchange. Before he can obtain any answers, Balaal arrives and a wild brawl erupts! Security takes control of the situation and takes Black into custody.
- Having Black brought to his office, Commissioner Euritar warns him that Scorn better show up at Best in the Universe or he will face indefinite suspension. Black informs the commissioner that Scorn has not suffered any harm and will return soon.
Best in the Universe Qualifying Match: Shayne vs. Bex w/ Ghena
Shayne defeated Bex. (Tokens: Shayne 3/0 - Bex 1)
- Bex appears to have the advantage until Shayne's Fury kicks in! Taking the fight to the floor and risking disqualification multiple times, Shayne fights off Ghena while maintaining the upper hand. To the delight of the crowd, Shayne scores the pinfall with SHOWDOWN (+3), a backdrop driver.
- After the match, Sur criticizes Bex for failing to get the job done. Bex points out that Sur fared no better in his own qualifying match. A heated dispute takes place between last year's Best in the Universe finalists as Ghena stands by without making a sound.

Raven and Fortress defeated Gladiators of Aethra. (Tokens: Raven 3, Pendragon 2, Justice 2, Slayer 1 - Overmaster 1, Paralyze 3, Rush 5)
Order of elimination:
1 and 2. Aethran Overmaster and Star Slayer both eliminated via disqualification.
- Justice provides a distraction that allows Slayer to nail Overmaster with APOCALYPSE (+4), a snap DDT onto his rifle. Paralyze breaks up a near fall, leading to a wild brawl between the two teams. In order to restore order, the official tosses Overmaster and Slayer from the contest.
3. Pendragon eliminated by Turmoil via pinfall with TOTAL TURMOIL, a ropewalk big splash using a steel chair.
4. Turmoil eliminated by Raven via disqualification.
- Ignoring multiple warnings, Turmoil chokes Raven with a turnbuckle wrench. When the official moves too close to the action, Turmoil smashes him with the foreign object!
5. Paralyze eliminated by Darkest Justice via pinfall with SHOCK PROBATION, a running knee strike with opponent hung in tree of woe.
- A surprise appearance by Mayhem Unleashed causes enough confusion that Justice is able to stun Paralyze with a mule kick below the belt! After recovering from the blow, Paralyze chases Mayhem into the backstage area.
6. Rush eliminated by Raven via pinfall with BLADERUNNER, a double flying fist.
- The Leveler tries to prevent Rush from being pinned by blasting Raven with an energy beam, but Justice hammers the Aethran machine with his metal baton and causes the shot to miss.

Great card, Pariah! From the title change, to Shayne's explosive performance, to a wild 8-man elimination match, the action in the ring matched the stories developing outside the ring and Best in the Universe is shaping up to be something special. Loved Bishop Hell's baptism of the title, too. Cool visual to imagine! |

Always appreciate the great feedback, TTX and Sam Fain... Gotta say that I was pleased how that show played out... Shayne defeating Bex (who was a finalist in last year's Best in the Universe tourney) was exciting... While Raven and Fortress continue to prove they can hang with the Gladiators... Also want to take a moment to thank Swarm for the awesome new version of Bishop Hell that was released in Promoter Prime last year... Just started using this card and I wanted to mark his first championship with his kind of celebration... Bathing the title belt in HELLFIRE seemed somehow appropriate... Full lineup for BEST in the UNIVERSE coming up! |

That Bishop Hell has done some awesome stuff for me so far. But Tharkas getting his new card was the real surprise at least in my fed.
