Card #8 Cygnus Superdome on M29
(Tonight marks the first official night of War Games style competition. Each winning team will receive five points for a victory, and two points for each survivor!)
As the event went live on the GWF Network, Commander Sam walked down to the ring with The Galactic Punisher. He took the mic and got down to business!
Commander Sam: Everywhere I go, people ask me- Have you finally bitten off more than you can chew Sam?! Everybody knows that the Royal Court has the FDF on the ropes. I just got back from the hospital room where they've got Justice wrapped up like a mummy from head to toe. The man can barely talk. But he's gonna be back. And he has a message for you Killer Queen- Justice will be served... I got off the phone with Lance earlier today and he has been fighting like hell to get in the games, but he's just too hurt. And my man GP standing next to me- Well lets put it this way. When we get to Madison Square Garden, Bishop Hell is gonna experience a hell he has never imagined. Have we bit off more than we can chew?! I found a couple of men who beg to differ... (Norse Gods music hits as Man Mountain and Lightning step down to ringside) ... Just so ya' know Royal Court- We've found our replacements. The FDF is coming for you on the final night of the War Games. We won't rest till you feel every bit of the pain that Lance and Justice are feeling right now. And we don't care what Commissioner Carter does when it is all said and done. This is War!
So to update the fans- The Royal Court will face the updated Federation Defense Fighters with Vlad Hammer, Commander Sam, Galactic Punisher and the Norse Gods!
Now on to the action....
Vanity spanked Mitsuko in the opening dark match of the evening. The fans popped hard for Vanity as Sweet Thing and he strutted down the isle back to the dressing room. **
Mutant got a somewhat surprising victory over Ghengis Khan who phoned in a weak performance. *1/2
In the first War Games bout of the evening Pipers Pit utterly decimated The Galactic Rebels in a display of total dominance! Dreadnaught came back arguably too soon from his injury to try to give his team a boost, but it simply didn't matter. During the bout Serpent Umman was badly hurt and attempted to tag in Tendron who reached in and pulled his hand back at the last second which led to Renegade getting an elimination pin on Unman. Afterwards Serpent Unman stayed behind at ringside. While Tendron was in the ring with Mesmar, Unman grabbed Tendron's legs and tripped him up which led to a quick Blackout victory by Mesmar. Serpent Unman walked away from the match glaring up at a defeated Tendron. The Rebels are in trouble! The bout was a *1/2 dud.
Order of elimination: Dreadnaught by Piper, Serpant Unman by Renegade, Tendron by Mesmar, Toongsoon by Piper for a 13 point blowout victory!
The Titans had a narrow victory over the Masked Assassins in a thrilling three on three contest! It appeared that the Masked ones might score some much needed points as they had it down to Dragonmaster versus Whiplash and Splatter. But Dragonmaster somehow managed to avoid multiple pin attempts, and pull out the stunning reversal of fate! ****
Order of elimination: Death Masque by Billy Joe Boxer, Billy Joe by Splatter, Lord Nexus by Whiplash, Whiplash by Dragonmaster, Splatter by Dragonmaster for the 7 points!
The Animen got a stunningly dominant victory as they utterly changed their fate against the Gladiators! Wolf was the absolute star of the night as he pulled off three eliminations in a row in a bizarre rapid fire succession. Savage Face Claws were being doled out like Halloween candy as the entire Gladiator team got served a cold dish of revenge for their antics during this tour. It was a long time coming, and a brutal display to watch. This is one giant step backward for the Gladiators who lost control of the points! ***
Order of elimination: Revenge by Massacre, Massacre by Wolf, Mayhem by Wolf, Spike by Wolf, Brute by Battering Ram for the 11 point shaming of the Gladiators.
In the final match up of the night- Evil Pact was all business tonight as they got the victory over the Third Force. Thantos frequently tagged himself in to the match against his teammate's will at times. It appeared that he took his cue from Wolf and took over as the leader of the team to get some much needed points. This really makes things interesting if the Third Force cannot pull out the win in the next event against the Defenders of the Galaxy. This race is anyone's game but the Defenders need to make a move quick to have a chance! ***
Order of elimination Matter by Matador of M83, Rogue by Thantos, Chaos by Thantos, Scourge by Antimatter, Matador by Thantos
