Been having issues AGAIN with “professional” printers. What specifically do I need to do to keep my cards legal?

No, the size is not the issue. It’s taking the cards what’s there essentially finished and taking them to a printer to get printed out. At that point time because I have copyright 1987/2017 champions the galaxy or Filsinger Games etc. etc., they take one look at it and say ‘we can’t do anything because this is copyrighted’. So, how can I still pay tribute to Tom and the Filsinger Games company without running into this issue?

In some of the pdf files from COTG online there is a note that says FG grants permission to print. Not sure it’s in all the files though.

That might potentially work, but I’m talking about something I can put on the cards to still pay tribute to Tom as were supposed to dfo and not running into this prohibition that the printers seem to have. However, if no one has any way to fix that issue, what about the permission to print statement?

Yeah, there should be something on the first page listed that grants permission to print things if someone brings a document in. It could be something simple to add from HQ standpoint. Sometimes I think these office companies do this on purpose so people will buy printers, LOL (joking).

Cool. That I think should work. Where can I get one of those statements or what do I have to buy?

I do remember a thread (either it was on this board or the old Filsinger Games board) that addressed this issue. It basically gave a disclaimer that you're supposed to put on your created works (such as handbooks, self-created matches, etc.). I don't remember the exact wording (it's been such a long time), but it went something like:
This (ITEM) is not an official Filsinger Games product. It was created by (YOUR NAME HERE) with permission from Filsinger Games, utilizing the rules and gaming system developed by Filsinger Games.
When doing individual cards, I'd always found it way too wordy to fit, especially with any special instructions a character may/may not have on his/her card, so I wrote to one of the admins and they came back with this shortened version which I use on all of my created cards:
This is not an official Filsinger Games product. It was created by (YOUR NAME HERE) with permission from Filsinger Games.
That should satisfy the printers (who are just covering their own asses, for fear of being sued for printing copyrighted material.)
