All, just a couple of things to keep in mind as you prepare you itinerary for G-Con and other things you might want to do here in Pittsburgh:
- The Football Hall of Fame is about 1 hour and 45 minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport and about 2 1/2 hours from the hotel. (The "interstate route" includes toll roads...the OH and PA turnpike.)
- The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is about 2 hours from Pittsburgh International Airport and about 2 hours and 45 minutes from the hotel. (Again, the "interstate route" includes toll roads...the OH and PA turnpike.)
- Depending on the route (really traffic will be more of an issue on this one) from the Airport to the Official G-Con Hotel (Fairfield Inn), it is anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours.
- Depending on the route (really traffic will be more of an issue on this one) from the Airport to the Official Site, it is anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours.
Uber does run in Pittsburgh, but you probably want to do some research on using it before you get here. If you are renting a car, be prepped for traffic...pending your route and the time you are driving, it can get a bit backed up on the bridges and tunnels around the south and southeast side of Pittsburgh.
If you are going to the baseball game, PNC Park is downtown, and about 30 to 45 minutes from the Official G-Con Hotel.
Downtown Pittsburgh is a "foodie" paradise...all kinds of great and unique eats (if you haven't had a pierogi before, I suggest you do). Install the NoWait App on your phone, it will come in handy if you want to eat downtown or on the "Southside" (no matter where you live, if you don't use the NoWait App, you should, it is a good app to use to keep from having to wait too long to get a table at some restaurants.)
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask...there are a few of us living here in the area that can answer.

oh yeah......and Pete is not kidding about that traffic...every year I'd come into Pittsburgh, it could take at least 30-45 minutes just to get that last bit of run into downtown.

Does look really nice, working on the details of getting there at the moment. This is looking more like the worst year ever to have to miss. LOW Online GWF Promoter Prime FTR Every Indy Fed Under the FG banner... ALL cruising like a well oiled machine. I'm not exaggerating when I say I think this is the most efficient FG has maybe ever been. Just humming right a long. 2018 has been a great year.
