I don't usually comment on celebrity deaths but Stan Lee passing hits me hard. I've been a huge fan for most of my life. RIP Stan the man.

Rest in peace, Stan Lee!
I used to read Marvel comics when I was a kid, but hadn't been born yet when he started creating the Marvel Universe. I've seen many interviews, cameos (like the one in the new Spidey game), etc. There would be no Marvel without Stan. We'd only be talking about Batman, Superman, etc if Stan never existed...
Over at Youtube, Looper had a nice tribute to Stan's best stories...
And in case you missed it, here's Stan's appearance on Big Bang Theory...
Thanks, Jim, for the initial post. EDIT: Thanks, TOASTERBOY!
And may I close this with Stan's favorite word: EXCELSIOR!

Stan "The Man" Lee is probably the reason most of us got interested in super-hero comics--and later Champions Of The Galaxy. I'll miss his cameos in the Marvel movies. In honor of Stan, "Make Mine Marvel" and EXCELSIOR! RIP Stan Lee

On the show, she and her daughter Nellie (Alison Arngrim) served as the sour foils to the wholesome Ingalls, including Pa (Michael Landon) and Laura (Melissa Gilbert). Born Dorlee Deane MacGregor in 1925 in Glendale, California, MacGregor grew up in Colorado and changed her name to "Scottie" after relocating to New York, where she received applause for her theatrical roles. She moved to California and appeared in 1954's "On the Waterfront" in an uncredited role, then began to work in television on shows like "Ironside," "Emergency!" and "Mannix." "It was a rude awakening coming to Hollywood," she told the Santa Cruz Sentinel in 1981, according to the "Little House on the Prairie" official website. "I was used to doing juicy parts on the stage ... They didn’t know what to do with m
