KINGDOM COME 2134 - SPOILERS!!!!

Only 3 cards into 2134 but so far I've got some favorites. Here are my preferences in order.

1) Godsend/GODSEND - Already defeated MONOLITH. I have a feeling he will rip through the roster this year. Hope he is around for a long time this time, even if the fed doesn't always revolve around him. Awesome art and stats and the most fun character to write since MONOLITH debuted. 

Love the chart art. Tom's vision of him being a larger than life Thanos type looking down over the Fed is a fun little touch to the current story. So far I'm enjoying the chart a lot.

2) LADY GODSEND - Again same thing A + art, story and stats. I've never been as into the women's division as much as I am now with interesting fighters like LG, Scorn, Sinful, Elina, Catfight and Taichi in the fed. Great finisher! 

3) DEMON GODSEND - Love his story how he feels Godsend's pain and lashes out at anyone who threatens his Lord. Even an L could be viewed as a W in the mind of Demon Godsend if he feels like he's saving Godsend from a beating. Amazing art. Another great finisher.

4) MONOLITH - The New Wolf. I see him coming and going on his own terms for decades. Perfect DECAPITATOR mechanic. Great art as always for him.

5) GHENA - More perfect art combined with an incredible storyline and strong stats to match. Seeing him as the new leader of the Three is everything I hoped he would become one day. The Three (both versions) are some of my all time favorite characters and top 10 of the New Beginnings Era. Already had a W over Shayne in my fed. I think Ghena can be a major player in the GWF.

6) TANK MORTAR - I feel like he will improve quickly and eventually become the leader of the FDF - that probably means Tom kills him off next year like Crossfire lol. Had a big W over MONOLITH in my fed already. Looks like he could be a major player one day soon. We needed a strong Earth/USA type character to play off of Shayne and we got it.

7) PARALYZE - Might actually be some of my all time favorite Gladiator art from Banks. Super cool looking helmet and armour. Paralyze is one of my favorite Aethrans so I'm really happy to have him back. I really want to push him and Fist but Fist is stumbling out of the gate in 2134 making that a bigger task than it should be.

8) SUR - Original Sur is in my own personal GFITG HOF having had two full game years basically revolve around him in my fed. I doubt that happens again with Ghena since Godsend is around - but you never know. Black Death will get a big tag push in my fed since the Immortals are a classic team in the GFITG. Really like his stats, even though it's a downgrade (but a great tag card). He looks like he will Revert back to his old self the most out of the Three. What happens when he does but Ghena doesn't? And vice versa? Lots of potential here.

9) BEX - The New Ghena. Tom continues to surprise us with these swerves. More fantastic art and I really like the hardcore version of the once technically sound mat master mind submission expert. I imagine that Bex scratching and clawing to escape from Hardcore Bex. So many cool directions the Three can go when one of them reverts back to their old self. Hasn't happened in my fed yet though.

10) CLIMBER - Like Tank, I think Climber is in his Pulsar stage - a harbinger card for greater things. He has a very exciting offense with fantastic finishers. I fear he might get lost in the shuffle if Tank gets a big singles push, and for that I kind of hope he gets paired with Faller - who is destined for the FDF one day. Maybe Tom swerves is and pairs up Tank and Faller as a true new Powerhouse team. DIRTBAG would be a great name for his update when it comes.

11) SCORN - The old SCORN was my all time favorite woman's card until Lady Godsend showed up. I hope she lives up to her past success. She has already regained the belt with her new card so that's a great start.

12) VALLAH - Haven't used him yet but I have big plans. I do think it helps get GODSEND further over and obviously he will escape one of these years. Then what?

 overall A + set. My only concern is the lack of major heroes - who must be coming soon. Endgame, Guardian, Helsin, Crossfire, Tank Mortar all seem primed to be major players soon. And even though he is no hero, I could see Nosfera popping back to to battle Demon Godsend and Godsend one day.

Funny...I was thinking the same thing about Climber with Dirtbag. Haven't fully decided who are my favorites and who are not but it is a great set and I am getting tempted to run Probation and Paralyze as a team for a while and see how Fist does in singles.

interesting thoughts. I've been teaming Paralyze with Probation in my original they're 3-1 so far.
Climber is 2-0 singles
and Tank is 4-0 and getting a shot at the No Limits title at the next show.
Monolith has yet to be in the ring.
the Castilex titles are secure as no one has won their gauntlets, Shayne came close but fell Burning Man who lost a slave match on the first show.
She Devil leaving has the Women's belt vacant and GODSEND and his commissioner have "retired" it leaving the Castilex Ladies title as the sole women's prize.
a recent fight had Demon Godsend bring in some help in the form of Anarchy and Blazing Holocaust.
The Three taunt anyone trying to win the 4-way match to get a shot at the Castilex Three Man titles, recently attacking Titan Samurai & Specs who won the right to challenge only for title match to happen right then.
Vallah only interfered in one match so far but GODSEND was amused at the wasted effort as Vallah aided Totalis get a win over Bex.
Epoch has already sacrificed Murtak 2x as he went after Sly leaving the loser I mean the Conqueror to get taken out by Code Destroyer.

Great set. Just a few thoughts.

Could the FDF be destroyed from within? I mean not one but two former Marshal Law members joined recently. Is it as simple as they tired of Sly or are they double agents still working with Marshal Law?

I started playing over two decades ago. As like many I went thru periods in the middle where I did not play so fell behind in sets and the lore. Thus I was not active the first time Godsend came around. So not sure if it was discussed back then but I love the possible double meaning of his name. God Send or Gods End.

I have not played CotG sets in a few years as I had switched to LoW and even that I have not rolled in well over a year. This set has got my juices going again and I'm going to try something new for me. Roll cards based on the roster set up by this edition. Other than first year or two when I started I have always had a roster that was a mix and match including my own creations.

I think this will work out good as I am a master of the Back Arts. <cheesy grin>

he's with Tharkas as Better than Human.  (they have not done well for me at all as a team last year they were 10-36.  so far in 2134 they are 1-2.

with the Rumble coming up (4-shows yet) they might be in it or that tag team rumble.  (last years winners of the first Tag Team Rumble was the Ultimate Fighters who eliminated Psi & Tharkas right away)  and with GODSEND forcing teammates to fight....this team might not last too long in my fed.

With the talk of lack of strong heroes and me catching up on past things including Godsend's first appearance thanks to COTG Wiki I am making a prediction. Next set, maybe the one after, I see two stars returning. Endgame and.....Lance At-Las.
