Hey EpicDave any more details on the Gencon legends tournament? Looks like it is tentatively scheduled for Friday morning at 10:00. The official schedule come out at the beginning of May. I plan to get with you at Galacticon to discuss details. I am interested as to whether Filsinger Games would provide any promotional materials for me to distribute to the attendees. I plan to get a copy of the Color Starter Set to use for the tournament, and give the set to the Tournament Champion (or the highest finisher who is not already a Filsinger regular).

We will discuss then or hit me up by email ahead of time if you want and I can have materials for you at the con.

I saw your event in the event list and am super excited to try the tournament out! I’ve been playing for over 20 years and going to Gencon for probably 10 missed out on playing when Tom had a booth and always regretted it. Hopefully I can bring home the title. Thanks for running it!

Hey everybody! I am pleased to report that the Gen Con tourney went on today with great success. We had 10 players all together, including 8 who were new to Filsinger Games. Using the 2016 color version, I swapped out the Road Warriors and swapped in Terry Gordy and Steve Williams. We ran a double-elimination tournament with lots of exciting matches. In the end, it was Randy "Macho Man" Savage who won the tournament over Bobo Brazil, who emerged from the losers' bracket. Ironically, the finals came down to the two players with previous LOW Experience- a married couple who are also gaming podcasters! Here's the winner, Erin Ayers, posing with her prize. I made her retake the photo, because she was smiling too much in the first picture. THERE'S NO SMILING IN WRESTLING! The third-place winner, Terry Gordy, took home the Best of Filsinger Games set. All the players took to the game and seemed to have a good time. Everybody took a Filsinger Games promo card and we may be seeing a few new customers. On further investigation, Erin and James actually reviewed LOW on their podcast last summer: Over the Tabletop PodcastThanks to Todd for setting us up with the promo materials and prizes. A good time was had by all!

Very cool, Dave. Wish I could have done it but been so busy this year both doing demos and assisting in other ways. Hopefully someday, FG will return and we can spread the love of the game in the world's biggest gaming convention.

That's AWESOME! Way to promote the game, well done sir! I have three friends there but they were in other tournaments while yours was happening, or I'd have sent them your way.
One of my friends there, Jon Lewis, top eighted his event today and will play for 25K on Sunday! Why the top eight is not til Sunday I don't know. UDE always does things a bit screwy.

Hopefully the tournament can be an annual thing. Had a blast at Gen Con even though I missed seeing Dave this year. Well, there's always next year and hopefully someday soon, FG will make its return.
